Curri requires a DOT number though....I'm still learning the ropes of making money in transportation gigs, currently just doing roadie. Even though my truck is under the GVWR required for a DOT number for interstate commerce and I don't have a trailer, which would put me in DOT weight range. We don't need yet another video of a list of apps, we need some entry level educational videos going into the specifics of how DOT works and where/when you need it to work on the roads, and what getting the MC/DOT registrations entails as far as the process and insurance requirements etc.
@rigrocker2957 I looked more into Curri sign up and I was able to make my profile without entering a DOT number, evidently it's not a requirement it's just an option to put in, although I was met with a message that my area is not yet being served by Curri yet and thus added to a queue of applicants for if/when it does come to this area. As far as understanding what goes into when/how to get a DOT number as it may apply to gig workers, I'm not getting anywhere yet. Trying to research it gets very confusing very fast, since most of the information is aimed at O/O truckers and hotshot drivers.
I drive for Veho in Denver. It's become difficult to make good money. You can only get one route at a time now, you have to finish the first before getting a second route, and most days you won't be able to get a second. Also, getting even that first one can be a challenge because they have more drivers than routes most days.
I love how you touched on NONE of the requirements for these different apps despite claiming to have access to thousands of drivers. Half of these require DOT numbers, others require your vehicle to be a certain year or newer.
Roadie is the worst pay app in the business why are people is talking about roadie saying that is a very good app imagine even if you go the same way roadie pays most of the times less than 50 cents per mile so who’s making the $$$ you? Or roadie and he’s customers?
I make great money with roadie in the bay area. Sometimes I van make 75 to 150 in an hour and 30. I do have a large vehicle though and I only take huge gigs
@@hughkidd9935 making $15k annually for you and truck ?! Are you on Crack? Or is that monthly ? You make no cents ! You are full of bs if you want someone to believe that you make $150/hr for a van. No frick'n way.
When it comes to Share Town how many gigs in your experience would you say require you to hire a helper to pick up the mattress? Im asking because I know Share Town does not pay you to pick up the mattress. Also would you say there are consistent opportunities on the back end to charge the person who buys the mattress from you a delivery fee to deliver the mattress to their home?
I’ve done some hauling a while back from Craigslist and local clients, looking to get my own truck soon and hop on a couple apps to start on the side, and 2:40 man I’m downloading and looking at reviews, some of these have like 20 ratings as if they’re brand new or nobodies on them yet, trying to thjnk what’s the Leading app, I’m in a big city so yes there’s comp but def enough work to go around.
While i do all this jobs from the apps what kind of insurance do i need to purchase or is it gonna be just the regular insurance for the vehicle . Please let me know
I live 45 minutes from New Orleans with a regular 6.5 bed pickup truck. Curry has no need for me or basically won't let me go further trying to sign up. I travel the gulfcoast but so far curry won't let me enter stuff like that.
I appreciate the leads for work. i went to every website you named and they all text/email me in response saying there was no work available and that they would be in contact with me when it was. I just registered today so hopefully i am contacted soon so that i can start earning
Pickup was great for the 3 years I used them. But they toke away gas per diem and dropped a lot of prices. And many jobs you drive A LOT I was doing 300 miles one day sometimes but was great pay $500 a day now lucky if make $250
Now with curry it made me enter a new email@business name to set up a business email then goes right to sending a code to that email that the app didn’t even make dude are you like trying to screw us around and waste our time?
Sharetown has informed me they are growing quickly and still need lots of drivers ---> Sign up here sharetown.sjv.io/vNeZ5j

I'm also interested in this. How's it going? If you don't mind me asking.

@@ianberry5879 thanks.
@ianberry5879 also how's roadie going. Thanks
@@rigrocker2957 roadie is going well. Some slow days, some booming days. The mower and mulch season is really good for a guy with a capable truck.
Cut out the middle man and list yourself on Google, FB, Craigslist
🎉
and how bro? Big companies like the ones who use this app aren’t going on FB or Craigslist. Maybe google
You can an also use those apps/jobs to funnel customers to your business.
Google fb etc ARE the middle man.
5:23 yeah i have a commercial dolly that doubles as a container chassis in my back yard...

i feel like an dumb ass! i had truck you sitting on my drive way while im looking for a job
same here, you're not the only one
same here wondering how i can start making it pay for itself
Currie doesn't operate in my area (New Orleans and Baton Rouge) and they want a DOT # for a pickup truck. He doesn't know what he's talking about.
@@LAURA093058I keep trying to get past the DOT number issue, as well
Did you find any good apps in the N.O./BR area?
Thanks Tim. I think it might be time to put my Tacoma to use.
Thank you for the info
Roadie is horrible in most cities/urban areas. It will start out with solid rates and then quickly lowers. The FB and Reddit groups confirm this.
I love how you touched on NONE of the requirements for these different apps despite claiming to have access to thousands of drivers. Half of these require DOT numbers, others require your vehicle to be a certain year or newer.
Now your turn to specify 😂 what apps require dot which ones have specific car requirements?
Can i sign up with an llc?
Yes you can in the irs website

So what apps are good on this list because I’m looking at load up and the 1 star reviews are horrendous
To make content. Videos like this are about getting views/likes/ad revenue from UA-cam.

These kinds of videos fail to tell that these apps have a surplus in drivers in highly populated areas so think about that before you Jump into this
He mentioned this at the begging and explained to download everything to stay busy
ABSOLUTELY MY EXPERIENCE RIGHT NOW every time I complete the process it says my area is flooded
are any of these aviliable in canada
Tried roadie myself and pay is a little on the short side
Thank you for this video .!

Do you offer consults?
Sorry I don't at this time. Please let me know if there is anything you would like to see a video on though
What type of insurance do you need to have???
Most just require standard auto insurance but you probably want to look into additional insurance if full time.

I think curri doesn’t work in Canada !
Which apps work in canada?
Curri wants to pay $1 a mile which is trash if you bid higher you will get less trip opportunities.
They don’t have curri jobs here in Florida
Yes they do in miami
Sadly none of these are available in my area
Any suggestions for canada as all app for USA
Does it have to be your truck
I am not 100% sure their policy on that. I would think you need to be covered under the insurance policy of the vehicle you are using.
All I get is wait listed
? on wich one
Hi! Do you have any social media accounts? I'm very interested in looking at your life outside the UA-cam!💓
Anyone use bungee?
Curri is not taking gig drivers anymore.
Load up pay sucks
Most of these want a damn near new truck doesn't help me any
Rodie blows
You need a dot number and I think a medical dot card once your gross weight goes over 10,001 lbs
good video but you speak very fast like a comet, speak slowly man👍
F Roadie!!
Load up loaders is not a good app
I think the pickup app went out of business.
Based off the reviews on the app store, it was well deserved. They have horrible reviews.
Sharetown you need to have a certain amount of space
Now with curry it made me enter a new email@business name to set up a business email then goes right to sending a code to that email that the app didn’t even make dude are you like trying to screw us around and waste our time?
How do you make this video 10 months ago, and pickup.now seems out of business for 2 years?
