  • Your past doesn’t have to hurt your present.
Events in our lives, both good and bad, form rings in us like the rings in a tree. Each ring records memories that affect our feelings, our relationships, and our thoughts about God.
In this classic work, David Seamands encourages us to live compassionately with ourselves as we allow the Holy Spirit to heal our past. As he helps us name hurdles in our lives - such as guilt, poor self-worth, and perfectionism - he shows us how we can find freedom from our pain and enjoy the abundant life God wants for us.

I believe that "The Healing of Memories" is one of the greatest scourges that have severely crippled the whole of society. At one stage some twenty-five years ago, that it was the centre of my wife and my spiritual life, but now!

What a bullshit. Everything that hurts stems from past that isn't yet recognized. That's all what it is.

You sound angry. Try to be open to things that can help you. I don't receive all every person says, but I receive what applies to me. I believe that we internalize certain moments in our childhood. I still see those things now and then and I'm 58. But now I see the memories and see them as things I need to deal with currently.
