He's up there having lunch with the big man. Both of them are probably eating bread and discussing the idea of it in a philosophical and informative way.
Poor Anthony Bourdain, I wish I could have hugged him, he looks so tired at 8:03. I wish he knew how many strangers, loved his presence, if only he felt our love 😘
I was watching AB videos and during the last year plus of his life, he was filming Parts Unknown and The Layover so he was filming constantly and had very little time off. I’m sure he was exhausted.
Absolutely, totally agree with John y John. Bourdain's access to talent is extraordinary, as is his star power, opening doors, hearts and minds. Not afraid to get his hands dirty or sugary, make mistakes, ask for help and guidance. Thank you Balvenie! Good cooks rock with Balvenie.
Nothing better than watching butterscotch being made. With one of the best Scotch Whisky's produced. I am down with the quote,"don't let the creation kill the creativity."
i'm really not a fond of French cuisine, but this kinda stuff just blows me away, it is purely magic..it shows me once again what humankind is capable of..i so respect this man's craftsmanship, that i'm totally mesmerised by it..chapeau !
It is like going home! Anthony's adventures are worth waiting for, but wait for the next one to come out is nerve racking! Keep it going, you are showing the way to the future!
I didn't realize how emotional and sentimental Tony was until seeing this, even if it's only shown for a few seconds. I'm extremely disappointed he's gone.
I may be a couple of years older than Tony, but I will always miss him... I just hate that he's gone...he was always a bright spot on my horizon! Now that I'm older, things kind of things depress me so much, I just cant watch him now. Goodbye, young prince! Gone but not forgotten..
Dear Janet, I m much younger than u.... but feel the same love and depression like u do feel for Tony. He is very beautiful and magical person to me. You see, I still use " is " for him.
Chef Ansel indeed! I was drooling watching them bake DKA and the Balvenie infused caramel hot chocolate - now I am heart broken because it is the middle of the night and I live 2000 miles away from being able to buy and enjoy either of these wonderful things!
I remember in high school I needed to choose and read a book for a report. And the library just happened to get this in and for some reason I picked it. His story and the stuff he did made me want to become a chef. With out his book I would have never been able to unleash the love and passion I have for food. No other celebrity who has passed has ever crushed me, and to this day I still look back and wonder what life would be like with out that book.
3 things : 1) Of course they LOVE Kouign amann, who doesn't ? 2) I like the sponsorship, and I think they should try to to make it as seamless as possible in every episode like this one, where they use it in a fancier handmade drink 3) I really like the series, and even if they're not always unknown artist, they've still very much got what it takes to be genuine and it's really nice
Anthony at 11:18, regarding heartbreak; this was so prophetic ; hard not to be choked up; days before his death, Asia, 42 , his gf, was seen strolling hand in hand and cuddling journalist Clemente, 28, after Anthony, 62 had said in interviews how much she meant to him. This betrayal by Asia with a man 32 years younger than Anthony, must have been a gut punch. Shame on Asia, Anthony deserved so much better than her.
Not to mention the man strived to NEVER walk anything back - it was all out there for the World to see... However, him learning the cold, brutal truth about A.A. & the hush money he furnished to the alleger of the foul deed w/ A.A. - meant he would be forever tainted/tarnished in the World over supporting who turned out to be a fraud.
@@kjaff1917 he's clearly depressed and not the same as he was years past. his commentary and demeanor was awkward and very unusual .. like he was trying really hard to even make basic conversation. this is common when someone is so far in their own head they can't even focus on what's in front of them
I miss you Anthony! Love the words you use to describe food, chefs, people, cultures, experiences and your view on the world which resonates with me. Food as entry point into other cultures, peoples way of thinking and life philosophies. While writing this I just realised what ‘Chef’s Table’ is missing: Anthony Bourdain! These new shows are brilliantly filmed but are lacking the soul of you! I miss you - hope you’re doing fine wherever you are.
you can see in his face at 11:39 as he's thinking back to his own first heartbreak how much THAT heartbreak from 40+ years prior affected him still. Look at the real emotion in his face, and what did he do - he reached for a drink to soothe his spirit as he jokingly talked about being depressed. (yes i know it's sponsored by The Balvenie, but i also know he chose to drink at THAT moment) I can only imagine how difficult it would have been for his heart to have been broken by that paparazzo photo of his girl with some other guy. I was going through an awful breakup situation around this same time and i don't know HIS own pain but i do know the pain is very, very real when you are full of sensitivity and emotions and you learn the one you have given your heart to has changed and there is no going back to the love you had.
Bourdain sounds SMACKED in this one lmaoo * spreads parchmeant paper looking extra stoned/tipsy/hungry * "Yeah, uhh I would like to eat uhhh one of these" * marshmallow melts and opens up * "woahh... cooool" LMAOOO love him
That dka looks similar to what I know as "Anushka". I've eaten them many times in Mexico from a chain bakery called esperanza. Plop a slice of butter on top, few seconds in the mic, add a drizzle of sugar, food coma time.

It's hard to watch AB -- just shy past the one month anniversary of his suicide. He was so "easy" w/ his humour and his sometimes awkward smiles and eye contact. His wit was inspiring, missed greatly. RIP...
Now more than ever, the world needs Anthony Bourdain.
Bourdain didn't kill himself

I feel like he's on vacation. And I'm waiting for him to comeback
this comment made me cry... as I feel the same.
Man, couldn't have said it better
The pain is real....I miss Tony terribly. 😔

When people are depressed, they feel no love from anyone-and they have no love left for themselves. A sad situation.
I was watching AB videos and during the last year plus of his life, he was filming Parts Unknown and The Layover so he was filming constantly and had very little time off. I’m sure he was exhausted.
He felt our pain
I never realized how much I missed his narration voice.
=(
Agreed
Nobody came up with darkly funny one-liners like Anthony Bourdain did. He was a brilliant man. 🌱
I’m tearing up watching Anthony. I miss him so much
Me too!!
Pastry Chef with cold hands? A gift from God.
Bourdain’s passing is a heartbreak to this world.
Look at that respect and admiration they have towards eachother.
EXCEPTIONAL I am indeed grateful for Balvenie’s sponsorship of this series. I never miss an episode or a trailer. I forward them always.
totally agree, these are outstanding.

John Lowe, Photographist I even bought a bottle. It was really nice.
Agree with John. Great story in a small package! If Bourdain starts getting accused of harassment I quit life.
I doubt it was the best for his health but the episodes are great.
this is the best video ever on UA-cam, because it's tribute to Anthony Bourdain!! We should miss him.

Anthony bourdain was a legend
RIP Peace my brother, Will forever enjoy your shows and your narrating, you are missed.
Man it looks like Anthony finally enjoys what he’s doing. Nice episode
I thought so, too. I think it was being in a kitchen on a New York City morning.
