The starter bolts are 8mm on the 2003 450 SE with EPS and diff lock. I just removed the starter without disconnecting the exhaust, by turning it over so that the 12V bolt was facing down. Then, it was just a matter of turning it as it was being pulled out. I would have removed the shift lever, but I was afraid to change the settings. I am having a problem getting the airbox back in the proper position, I guess I will have to remove the tank so I can find out why the obstruction. Next up, the oil change.
2 drain plugs for oil the smaller one too rear of engine not far from screen you show take it off first that way when you pull the large one it's not so messy
