When I was a little kid, I was watching Nerdcubed. When I was struggling through high school, I was a watching Nerdcubed. When I'm currently procrastinating in med school, I'm watching Nerdcubed. This feeling cannot be rivalled.
i too am here because Dan’s videos feel like being snuggled on the soda at grandma’s house with hot chocolate and no responsibilities or stress. also side note: when he chats to rebecca in streams and videos its always so heartwarming. this is just a good place to be, and im so happy dan has stayed a kind, lovely, silly mf.
The true Australia experience, getting hunted by crocodiles on your commute, everything closing down at 4 because no-one wants to do anything but go home and rest after 8 hours of Aussie heat, and spiders that can survive being smashed with a massive hammer. As long as the characters swear like true Aussies it's like you're actually there!
That Emu that was attacking you was actually a Cassowary. The same animal that attacked you in Far Cry 3 all those years ago which you referred to as Carroways. I imagine they are on your list of least favourite animals at this point. Also, I believe the animal that killed you was a Tasmanian Devil. Now for the audible gasp when non-Australians realise that Taz from Looney Tunes is based on the Australian Marsupial
I think Dan is the record holder for most consistently funny UA-camr over the longest period of time, this may actually be one of his funniest videos yet
Seeing a foreigner explore Aussie wildlife is always hilarious. You knew what a quokka was, but you immediately jumped into the water without any prep or checking for wildlife, swam towards the jellyfish, called a cassowary an emu (it's a modern-day velociraptor, they have daggers on their feet), and declared a funnel web was mostly harmless. For the record, no Aussie will EVER claim a funnel web won't hurt you. They absolutely will. The only reason so few people die from these pricks is because our hospitals and wildlife centres have a collection and milking program - if you catch a funnel web alive you are supposed to deliver it to your nearest location so it can be milked to make antivenin, that way there's always a supply available to save the people who get bitten. It's kinda cool actually. The mental image of someone walking into an emergency room carrying a jug with a great honking spider in it and this being considered normal and approved-of behaviour is great.
"So I'm going to name this guy... calender." That is just the right amount of humour for my ADHD to find funny, and just clever enough that I'm not ashamed to have laughed. Unlike when I just hear a fart reverb and laugh and feel shame.
I've played this game for a number of hours some time ago. I ought to give it another try! For anyone wondering if it's good, yes, it's a nice game with some really fun elements, obviously a little bit like Animal Crossing, but with combat and things like that. I seem to remember really liking the fishing minigame, for some reason. It's lovely and chill, aside from when you get eaten, naturally. My problem with it was that it's very slow and grindy - you really do have to put in several hours to get anywhere in the game, and sometimes you have to wait for days and days (in game, not real time) for the villager you want to appear - you get one visitor each day, IIRC, and you have to do several of their quests (usually fetching, etc) before you can hope to recruit them permanently to your island. The visitor is random, and so it can take a while before you start to build up a nice village of the people you want. Still, it's fun. It might have changed a little, since I played it a good year and half ago. If you're into slow-paced games like this, it's well done.
Hey Dan I have a suggestion. How about a weekly community stream? One where you can suggest some games, for an hour, at the beginning of the stream, and let everyone vote on it. You could also just let people vote on any game as well once a month. Then you can go buy, and play the winner of that month. Heck you could even add even more variety you know? Like when suggesting the games most of them could be simple let's plays, and then one, or two could be completes. Something like OfficialNerdCubed plays Sonic CD, OfficialNerdCubed plays The Simpsons Video Game, OfficialNerdCubed completes Earthbound, OfficialNerdCubed plays Earthworm Jim, OfficialNerdCubed plays Zombies Ate My Neighbor. Until next time. Cheers & Tera!
The beginning cutscene and weird road sign and tower makes me think this could be post-apocalyptic Australia, but this could also regular old Australia and I wouldn’t know the difference
I picked this game up last year and was really enjoying it just waiting for updates. its like animal crossing except there feels like there's waaaay more stuff to do. and unlike new horizons its looking more likely it will keep getting updates longer than 1 year XD
I love how people who discover Nerdcubed are here to stay Ive been watching this channel for 9 years over 3 different accounts and its still the same feeling I felt when I was younger

Dan is pure comfort when it comes to YT. He is absolutely my top tier comfort creator.
I concur, fellow weary procrastinator. Glad you’ve been on the bandwagon as long as me. It’s been one hell of a journey thus far
Same here, minus the med part. Well done your smart btw!

I was so not prepared for "IT'S A *HUSSY!!!*"

do the real ones also have a projectile attack?
As a big Tasmanian devil fan I was like surely thats not a tassie devil. But thats the only animal I thought it could be.
I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a drop bear
4:54 God that is jarring going from black and white to SUPER VIVID COLORS after a few limes. XD
The artstyle has such MySims energy, I love it.
I thought I was the only person who knew of mysims
Oh yeah. That was a thing.
Now that's a game I haven't heard about in a long time. Out of curiosity, did anybody else get their copy of MySims from the Taco Bell promotion?
@justsomeredspy yes! That's how I got mine and I played it to death!
I think Dan is the record holder for most consistently funny UA-camr over the longest period of time, this may actually be one of his funniest videos yet
Even the crocodiles clock out at 4pm because of the heat
7:59 It's Jack Packard from Second Wind these days, bro.
I would greatly enjoy another episode of this
me too!
5:00 Keep eating, the world just turns into blinding color.

So that building in San Francisco really *is* designed to look like a spaceship?
And "p**is" is the official name for the mallet in croquet?

I love how after he ripped the calendar, the character made uncomfortable eye-contact
do NOT let dan into the local zoo
"The following are all friends of the quokkas" Damn straight! You don't mess with my boy Barry/Prq7qe!
3:18
Me at the bar.
Ah yes, totally accurate australia battle crossing simulator.
Poor Alli the Crocodile... Gone, but not forgotten.
I would totally watch an unedited play through of this
1:45 😂 god I felt that. We haven't had the best track record for animal crossing-likes on the pc...
"So I'm going to name this guy... calender."

Every time Dan said Fletch I thought he was talking to me.
my favorite childhood comfort creator really is back

I'd like this as a live stream... Definitely

9:06 I've got a new sound clip. XD
I replayed that timestamp a few to many times that I care to admit.
It's been so long since I've watched your videos, but I've forgotten how easily you make me laugh, more than really anyone else I watch.
Hey Dan, I know you usually do Plays now but I'd LOVE a completes on this!
I can imagine this being a great series or couple of livestreams
when i was a kid I watched nerdcubed, now as a young adult procrastinating its the same deal, gotta love it
I started watching your videos when I as 8 years old and I'm 19 now, I will always and forever come back
Eyyy another 10+ years procrastinator. 11 to 23 for me
10:23 might be one of the funniest things I’ve heard in years
for the record that spider you picked up (the funnel web) is one of the most deadly spiders in the world. I had one living in my house a while ago
"Funnel web. That's one of those spiders that Australians will go "Nah it won't hurt you.""
NO, NO, NO. VERY hurty! Big bad hurty!
ho my god he played the DINK
i love this game. i bought it for like 4 people so we could dink together
oh good bjorn van rijsvejen is still there
Enter the domain of the NerdCubed videos dropping from above like birdpoo BRING THE OUTRO BACK
Live to see your still up n runnin Nerdcubed :)
8:35 oh no funnel web will end you
one of the funniest videos of the new era, well done
Struth! Looks like ya've got a fair dinkum adventure ahead of you mate! ~ Maurie, TY The Tasmanian Tiger (2002)
Holy cow, Jack mentioned! He's my favorite 4th-seater on BotW.
I'm surprised it took Dan this long to play this game. Seems like something he'd love
From now on I am calling magpies, giant pigeons
This new Mad Max game looks pretty good
The beginning cutscene and weird road sign and tower makes me think this could be post-apocalyptic Australia, but this could also regular old Australia and I wouldn’t know the difference
The best Australian life simulator I've ever played
The fire breathing nightmares is not the most accurate, but otherwise it's bang on
I think that emu was actually a cassowary. You might remember those bastards from Far Cry 3.
i need more dinkum in my life
watching Dan walk past all of the spinifex bushes... painful
Nice to meet Jeff the shark's Australian cousin!
Non-Australian comes to Australia.
Gets Australia-ed.
7:55 get-in
as an australian, yes.
as an australian, can confirm this as an accurate representation of this violent hellscape, please send help, the animals keep trying to break in
He should livestream this!
Or make a complete series!
5:37 no, NO! This fucking country is already on bloody fire and we don't need any more.
Good news, Australia doesn't have fire brathing animals, , , , yet
I picked this game up last year and was really enjoying it just waiting for updates. its like animal crossing except there feels like there's waaaay more stuff to do. and unlike new horizons its looking more likely it will keep getting updates longer than 1 year XD
Hey his views are finally up again! Good for you cubed !
This game looks really fun
(Raises hand)whats a dinkum?
An Australian phrase, sort of means veritably. For example "that shark is fair dinkum big"
"Fair dinkum?!" is an Australian colloquial expression that means something like "are you serious?"
A very strange choice for the name of the game.
@@ShortyM86 oh yeah….that jogged my memory of the ty games….thanks for the explanation👍
Man, that certainly is a frame rate. Can't imagine just how bad it'd be on my puny little RX 6400. :P
So it’s Animal Crossing but everything’s trying to kill you.
Not only is that interesting but I’m also getting ideas for my own game.
Ive come back after 10 years been watching the skate 3 vids 😅
Nerdcube are you going to play Rail Route?
There are ads on this video, don't know if that's on purpose or not
They've reactivated ads on the channel a while ago. So yes, on purpose.
Dinkum more like
more like
no outro music is crazy :(
Do kithack model club next!!!
perth mentioned
What's the point of playing a game imitating my journey to class each day. I'll admit this is a more pacifist commute than normal.
dinkum!
This is very weird to watch as an Australian
Nah mate, funnel webs will definitely hurt you.
This was great xD
just animal crossing x cubed world
Live stream please
I really wanted to like this game, but takling the animals out of animal crossing just removes so much of its charme..
