Love It. Better priced than Festool, Everything included. Can move and fold up; will fit in my little shop where a table saw isnt practical. Can take outside and onsite. Innovative and Smart. Real plus for Kreg
Volume much better this time. I can't wait until I can afford this. I have a bad knee (old Army injury) and my knee buckles with no warning. My table saw scares me as my knee could buckle at any time and could throw my hand into the saw blade. Not good. This is so much safer. You guys should push that safety feature more.
I’m surprised they didn’t mention the fact that this can be used as jointer as well since you can slap a clean straight edge on pretty much any piece of wood
*Love, love, love Kreg Tool.* The Adaptive Cutting system is an incredible tool, with one caveat: expense. As a high-end woodworker, I particularly enjoy DIWY (Do-It-With-You) projects; helping others to gain invaluable skills. So, keeping things affordable is a key consideration in minimizing the intimidation factor. As is often the case, you do get what you pay for, and I have no doubt that the Adaptive Cutting system delivers on the promise of quality that is a hallmark of Kreg Tool. I just wish I could justify the purchase.
At first I didn't think it was. But if you buy the Festool saw, the table, the parallel guides... it's definitely more reasonable. Still pricey. But if it works as well as it looks... I'd consider it over the TS55
the design of this table looks to present some really great advantages over the festool table. Built in parralel guides for narrow stock. A much better protractor design. I don’t know about durability tho. I really wish it had all Metal construction. I suppose the price is reasonable in comparison to the alternative. My question is whether the table is compatible with festool saws?
When cutting on the table, you will make an initial kerf cut into the table. All additional cuts will be made in this same kerf line. The saw will also have a depth gauge to ensure you are not cutting through the table top.
I love the idea of this system and the versatility it offers. The cutting guides, versa stops, positive track mount, and parf hole system works amazing together. I find that alot of the pieces that I find myself working with are 8' long. How does the adaptive cutting table and system work with 8' material?
Two tracks can be joined with connectors (www.kregtool.com/store/c75/accessories-and-parts/p476/adaptive-cutting-system-track-connectors/) for off-table cutting capacity up to 112".
I like Kreg tools. They are very good quality in both design and manufacture. Also they work well and increase quality and quantity of work output. I would not want to be without them! However, the Adaptive Cutting System appears to be not well designed. That is a very awkward method of repetitive crosscutting. For ripping there is that nice large table, but he is working off the edge with little or no support which equals little or no safety. In my opinion, this product should go back to the drawing board for a substantial revision. I would like to try one to see for myself.
Useful tool for those that have a need for table saw like cutting but stow-able however, most people should still have a TS. A TS is more versatile, accurate (two stops to set for a rip vs. one rip fence), and the same cost if you start with a portable saw or cheaper import brand, not to mention the power of an induction motor, dust collection, etc. You get the idea. These tables are nice but they cannot replace the TS for most. Niche market, I think.
The Adaptive Cutting System uses a plunge-cutting circular saw and guide track to make straight cuts in plywood, panels, and solid-wood boards. Just lay the track on your desired cutline, place the saw on the track, plunge the saw, and the blade follows the edge of the track for straight, splinter-free cuts.
Love kreg products but am very disappointed in the lack of length in track. The track for the cutting system is wider than their other available tracks they have for ripping lengthy plywood. For your plunge saw to work with their smaller width tracks you have to mount your saw to another guide.
Two tracks can be combined together for 124" of total length that provides 112" of off-table cutting capacity. Our Adaptive Cutting System plunge saw is designed specifically for this track and is not compatible with our circular saw cutting guides.
And how much does all of this cost? I purchased the rip guide only to find out the saw sleds were cheap plastic instead of aluminum as I thought. For $40 US and a made in China tool I returned it. And let us not discuss the Chinese vice grip quick clamps. Awesome product, true, can afford to hold more than one corner, false, scared to use I might scratch it true.
Wider boards are more expensive here too. Just showing a possible application. I've had to rip wide boards to finish a job before. Cheaper and faster than making an additional store run.
It is for the DIYer, but you need to have the money. It was a big investment for me, but it does what a jointer, a miter saw, a table saw, and a track saw do.You also won't cut your fingers.

$899.00 sounds kind of high, especially since the Festool, - one of if not THE most expensive line of tools - system is only $720.00. Getting a bit too proud of what you sell.
Mass produced Jigs make your life worse. All based on CNC level accuracy. I guarantee you that the cross cut end grain is not 90 to one of the 4 sides. So when you hook it up to the next jig...it all ends in tears...or rage...or disappointment. Some Jigs are great but most are over rated.

Tell me about it. I just sold my single seater sofa to buy their pocket jig r3😣😣😣

After every cut you put the saw off to the side... Is this a best practice?
It looks good...and very similar to the Festool system that I used to sell at Woodcraft. I hope that it is priced a whole lot more reasonably.

Only compatible with Krek track and Kreg Track saw
Hi Kreg Team, when will you be releasing this product in Australia 🇦🇺?
How do you ensure that you will not cut into the tabletop?
When cutting on the table, you will make an initial kerf cut into the table. All additional cuts will be made in this same kerf line. The saw will also have a depth gauge to ensure you are not cutting through the table top.

Yes, you need the extra track, tack joiners, and it is a good idea if you buy Rip Guides or Parallel Guides. They make repeatable cuts faster

Can this cut 1/4” plywood on the table
Yes. Cutting capacity is the same on and off the table: 2 1/8" at 90°. 1 1/2" at 45°
How do I replace the hinges on the table?

Love it!!!

How do you tell the track is where it needs to be so that the cut will be straight

This only works for short boards vs long like an 8ft board.
You can cut up to 48" length with the track on the table. If you have a longer cut, you can combine two of the 62" tracks for off-table cuts.
Is really dimentional lumber more expensive than wide boards in the United States? Here in Norway it’s the opposite
Lewi Uberg agree same in the UK
Wider boards are more expensive here too. Just showing a possible application. I've had to rip wide boards to finish a job before. Cheaper and faster than making an additional store run.
$500.00 for the saw and two 50" pieces of track not a bad price but it's only for white handed I mean right handed people and i'm left handed dang!
This is your chance to become a switch hitter.
Why not just use a table saw ??
Moving the saw into the captive(ie stationary) wood is safer than moving the wood into an exposed spinning blade like on a table saw.
Saw the price and my jaw hit the floor. Not for the diy person. The saw sound awful. Love my other kreg tools.

$720 is the (festertool) table only, you still need the saw and that's roughly another $600. Just say'n.
Table is 500 and is bigger
