It's not exactly a sampler, but I can see why you use the metaphor. I know what his question related to, but I just wondered if he ever heard of the pedal I referred to. The Freeze is in no way the same thing, you're right about that!
Well aint that funny. I just bought one of these, and LOVE it. Subtle compression and sustain, and a slight boost. Then I watched this video. Mine sounds absolutely nothing like this. This sounds awful! But I was playing a Tele. When I played a guitar with humbuckers, it sounded like this. Soooo it seems like the higher the input, the more severe the compression. Lucky I mostly play Teles and Strats! Seems designed for them.
Yes, I love EH stuff, I have the HOG, Looper,Vocoder, Micro Guitar Synth and tons more EH units... I thought I would share my considerable experience with the questioner...cheers :-)
Forget the demo, it's fine as a demo, but if you had this pedal for a time you would end up loving it, I have a Boss compressor as well, but it's the T-Rex I use the most and I get great results.
Sure, its a very simplistic sampler and the question the guy asks relating to Matt bellamy is answered by saying its a sustainiac system, the EH Freeze is not the same thing at all !!!
Just buy an Empress compressor or the Cali 76 and be done with it. MXR makes a good compressor too along with Keeley and Wampler that dont sound like effects, they sound like you but more of you.
Watching this makes me feel like im at a pathetically unorganized funeral feeling sorry who whats being laid to rest (this deadbeat pedal) an this guy is babbling an unprepared terrible eulogy.. RIP Sustainer....you never stood a chance :(
Even at the fastest attack speed it gates to aggressive. From this demo it seems like a useless pedal. No offence. It just seems like a very poor compressor compared to the equally pricd pedals on the market.
True power of the pedal starts around 5:00.
Two years later and you are still correct.
5 years later and you are still correct. Way to go

I have a sustain pedal for my keyboard. I wish I could just use it for my guitar.
The clamp down that pedal has is pretty insane. Found one for 50 bucks online. I might buy this one, I feel it would be fun to mess with.
This is such an awesome pedal, THAT 4320 like the Keeleys, it really wants to be run at 12V!

muy bien Lore gran lesson saludos!
6: 11 it sounds like Slash in Don't cry.
Mikey Likes it,,,,, 😜👍
The initial attack thing makes it completely useless! Why doesn't it react immediately (boss SG-1 style)?
Fast pased hard rock uses fast attack.
Don't know how he has his amp set, but it sounds really bad on bypass and makes the T-Rex sound like something I don't want to buy.
Help! I can't figure out how to get it out of the box!

does anyone know about any pedals with extremely long sustain, e.g. Matt Bellamy style

What were you settings from 4:10 - 6:16... that bluesy/rock SLASH sound? Great Job!
100% Agree.
sounds horrible. do you have a noise reduction pedal on or is the clipping just from the pedal? sounds bad seems like hot garbage.
The output on mine gets louder
Ever heard of the EHX Freeze?
Watching this makes me feel like im at a pathetically unorganized funeral feeling
sorry who whats being laid to rest (this deadbeat pedal)
an this guy is babbling an unprepared terrible eulogy..

Personally, I’m thinking about getting it just for the sustain on harmonics.
His sustain is made by a sustainiac pick up modification... it is a magnetic Ebow type unit... his sustained notes cannot be achieved with pedals !!!
This pedal has a very nasty gating effect when it kicks in. Bad pedal...
you can get a boss me 50 on ebay for 40$
That thing sounds horrible. In fact, the bypassed signal also sounds horrible. Same with the playing.
oh.my.god fender pro jr still sucks, and it's the 3rd edition...
99.999 views hahaha
this sounds like vomit!
horrible
