    Wow... So true when put so simply. Music, movement, excersize, singing and cleaning, connecting with others through conversation helps me to stay present! Having good self awareness to be able to notice the shift... when the ego is at play. Thank you! I needed to be reminded of the power of just being present 🙌🏾

    My mind talked all the time. Sometimes in that present moment i didn't feel peace or joy, it immediately blamed that i am not doing good enough, not present enough etc. And then it made all kinds of method and convince that i am in present moment. But the good thing is i can catch those thoughts and go back to the body, to the heart and feel the present instead of thinking about it. 😅

    this is incredibly true. i used to be so dissociated from myself, my body, life in general. never really noticed that before. never saw how it was completely ruining my life and resulted in anxiety, depression and feelings of dissociation. ofc there were underlying problems that caused me to resort to not being present as a defense mechanism, but now i'm slowly becoming more and more mindful and noticing things about myself that i never saw before EVER. it's incredible.
    just a few hours ago i was able to notice how dissociated i got after playing video games for an hour or two. NEVER saw it before. crazy stuff.

    I struggle to be present because my mind feels like it’s able to take me back into a tight anxiety written head space all the time. It sucks. I feel like I am naturally like this. Meditation does help, but it gets frustrating that everytime I meditate I just feel the tension in my head and it makes meditation hard but I pull through. One thing I remember is to live from a heart space. When I live authentically through a heart space I find joy in the presence. I can live, peacefully, with no worries.

    For me it helps to look at my hands or what's right in front of me. A lot of times I notice I'm zoning out, so actually looking at details of the things that are in front of me helps. Like looking at the plants in the room I'm in or looking at my cup of coffee. That together with feeling my breathe and body helps.

    • @karpedm2296
      @karpedm2296 6 днів тому

      This is facts. I started to notice whenever I was having issues with anxiety it was because I was zoning out. Like my eyes were literally out of focus and I was in my mind thinking. Now when I just pay attention to what I'm doing everything gets so clear and beautiful. It almost feels like moving in slow motion when you stay present and I think that's the part that makes everyone uncomfortable. They don't know that's the sweet spot where all the ideas and prolific thoughts start coming in

    This is why I love cats. And dogs to the same degree. You see, cats really live in the present. They see a threat, their tail bushes up and get very apparent about the present thing. They hear a car go by, their ears pay full attention. A bag of treats rustles, they forget everything but that sound. And their obsession with room corners is down to the weirdness of it's symmetry...maybe a few etheral beings too, who knows.
    And OMG dogs. Dogs live everyday like it's their first day on earth, every day. That joy in their vibe. That smile of excitement when a lead gets shown for a walk or just open air fills their delicate noses.
    Everything is forgotten as the moment passes, it's to be admired.

    I’ve been really realising how separate I have been from the present and from my body recently, although I know now that the disconnect has been there for years. I often come back to myself with absolutely no knowledge or recollection of what I was doing or thinking just 5 seconds ago, those fleeting moments when I would become aware again really scared me at first and were so jarring that I resisted actually ‘staying’. Working on it now!! Even just noticing small things around me like how my screen feels under my fingers as I type this has helped me so much, I still have moments where I zone out but I know how to help myself when it happens:) thank you!!

      @@dgmindset- 🟡But with all due respect, DG ... it still doesn't help me with the fact that I have deadlines to meet in a very busy environment. If I don't meet these deadlines, I could lose my income, no food on my table. It doesn't matter if you have ego or not, that is the reality of life in the money-system. So my question to you is - Just how do you sit like the buddha in presence and yet you better be thinking really hard to meet those deadlines??? You say there is no time, but there is clock time and urgent matters.

    Thank u . This is a really good topic .
    I want to share a bit about my story , lately I have started to learn that my overthinking stems from fear , because after I survived a trauma I became so fearful of people giving up on me and stuff like that , that I started overthinking my future and thinking that by securing myself I wouldn't need ti ask help from anyone which is true haha I also care so much about what others think about me and always beleive that others are judging me or thinking bad things about me , or that they hate me ... but I really have to be presrnt in the moment because this is the only escape , trying to control every situation only makes things worse . And I can't ficus when k am constantly fantasizing and overthinking , it became a habit for me , I spend like hours and hours just thinking , which is so bad , I beleive I am someone I am not but rather want to become instead of accepting my present self . I struggle with falling asleep at night sometimes , this is really bad .
