Callaway for me this year! I’ve been 10 to 15 yards longer and the confidence it gives me knowing I’m going to be there or ther about the fairway is amazing. I’m sure it all comes down to me but with the paradym in my hands I fill like I can compete again with the longer players at my club.
Tested both extensively over a month time period. Stealth 2+ with the Fujikura Ventus Blue TR 6S is in the bag. More forgiving with no distance loss compared to the triple diamond
I went with a Callaway Rogue ST Max 9 degree, +1 degree and neutral settings on the hosel. The forgiveness is incredible. Paradym was just a little too much above my price point on release.
I've got the original Stealth Plus gathering dust in the hallway and a TSR3 in play. I'm done with being a mass lab rat while the manufacturer "refines" their products at my expense.
Both are fantastic drivers. I feel TaylorMade made a larger jump this year vs their previous model. The forgiveness they added coupled with the ball speed TaylorMade is known for made it an easy decision to go with the Stealth2+. And, in my opinion, the feel/sound of that carbon face is awesome.
Between those 2 I'd take the Callaway, but I'm gaming the G430 LST this year. I didn't think I'd ever see you game a Callaway driver for a full season, so they must have absolutely smashed it with that one!
PING G430 LST 9 degree, standard 55gram R shaft, yes it was fitted and is an improvement over my previous G400 LST, little longer, great forgivness, finds fairways.
It would be Stealth 2 for me!!! But everyone should get fit for what works for you!] I've always used Callaway until last year when I got the Stealth Plus driver. It was the 1st time I ever actually got fitted, and it was eye opening. I had the best numbers with the Stealth Plus and the ST-Z. Chose the Stealth because I LOVE the sound/feel combo, best ever. It feels so much like a slowpitch composite softball bat, it's addicting. Also, Taylormades "twist face" is legit 👍I have to disagree with Mark Crossfield on twist face. I'm a lefty and my miss is towards the toe, which gives me a high slice that I know all too well. I don't get that shot anymore! I've played enough golf to know at impact where the ball is going before I see the actual ball flight, and I know for a fact that a lot of straight shots would have gone left without twist face. Just get fitted and see what actually works for you, screw brand loyalty 👍
I have two drivers, an M2 2017 with a strange shaft that I fitted a TM adapter on. I’m good. And a Ping G400, not getting along with now. No need to change drivers if you hit fairways, and go 280 to 310.
I was fitted into the triple diamond myself, considering my hcap is 6 I thought a low spin driver was out of my ability range, it has turned out to be the most forgiving driver I’ve ever had, and as a bonus the ones out the middle go a lot further than my past drivers, love it 👏👏
Think the Paradym is slightly better for you but not much in it, Got fitted yesterday for the G430 LST but cant go wrong with any of the brands this year
I love your ‘WITB’ vlogs cos UA-cam you never have the same clubs in the bag from one vlog to another!! Lol. I’d love to see you play 9 holes with your ACTUAL CHOSEN clubs!!
So, I finally changed from my Titliest 915D2 to a Taylormade Stealth+ 8 degrees turned up to 9. Well, I needed a driver and it was the only driver head I could find used at the time. I hate the red face but I can live with it, i love the sound, its oddly more forgiving than I expected for a low spin driver. Oh I gained some yards to but thats minor.
I was shocked this year and decided to go with the mizuno 230 stz and what a driver it is aswell .i feel the sim was better than both stealths 1 and 2 but heard good things about the callaway but was just out my price range .
I would choose the paradym.. But I currently have the kobra speed zone from 2020 with an extra shift shaft and I LOVE IT. I don’t see a need to get a new drive this year.. maybe next year
i tested 5 drivers this year . Ping g430 lst, Cobra aerojet , TSR3, Stealth 2+ , and Callaway triple diamond. The triple diamond won out for me , paired with the ventus tr 6x blue
I understand you didn’t like the look of the regular paradym, but I think you sold the comparison short with the triple diamond vs the stealth plus. The paradym and stealth plus are basically the more comparable pair, and as a usual low spin driver enjoyer, I found the paradym to be perfect. The triple diamond is extremely hot off the face but you need to be striking really well everytime for good flight. The forgiveness in the paradym is a lot more comparable to the fargiveness of the stealth 2+
Hi James great video. I tried both but ended up with the Taylormade Stealth 2+. Callaway just appeared to sit with a closed face in my opinion. I like how the Stealth2+ looked like it was just open just a touch. I went with 10.5 degree turned down to 8.5 thus making it a flatter lie and open the face. I really hate the left shot as well! Oh and 15 yards further with stealth because I was able to swing at it. Good stuff.
Courses in northeast USA are rock hard right now. I put an old TaylorMade RocketBallz 8⁰ driver back in my bag to take advantage of the extra roll. Greens are so hard too, I need to hit 2 clubs less and then sometimes the ball still rolls off the back.
If I had to choose. Neither. Titleist Tsr4 for me. At least i would love to give it a go. Taylormade, in my opinion, is all about marketing to sell product. In all reality distance is relatively maxed out and has been for awhile. Forgiveness has been the only real change. It doesn't matter what brand it is. None of them are worth the price tag of the new drivers. Take advantage of the second hand market and lose outon a touch of Forgiveness and not a noticeable distance drop
My choice of those two, Paradigm... What do I play? The Mizuno ST200 then again, I am shite at golf so it wouldn't matter if I played with a rock on the end of a broom handle!
I chose the titleist tsr2 as my driver as I got fitted for before these came out and as I’ve not been able to hit the taylormade drivers for a long time. So completely changed my clubs this time so titleist throughout the bag and absolutely loving them
Hej James! I think you will have this year a "spring season" a "summer season" a "autumn season" and the winter. Then there are "post seasons" and "regular seasons" the season "before and after PGA show" and so on.... Have fun with all your driver's, woods, putters, wedges and iron sets! And BTW : what a natural ball striker Chris still is!
I play Taylor Made M 6 Driver but watching your video the Taylor Made Stealth Driver seam too play better so for me I would play the Taylor Made! I used a Calloway Edge for a while and it was the Miss fairways reason I switched to Taylor Made!
Tsr3 is the driver to have … both cally and TM don’t compete, I’ve owned both .. Callaway is longer but it’s useless out of the toe or high in the face TM is more stable for sure but the standard deviation in spin is was like 1700 for me for a couple Of ml difference Tsr3 was super consistent all over the face with the tightest standard deviation I’ve seen plus it’s the ball speed king And cally are always draw bias regardless and TM are always a flatter fade bias
I got fit for the G430 and Paradym and I decided to go with the Paradym. I was just more consistent, I went back last week to try the stealth 2+ because why the heck not? And my spin rates were around 400revs higher than the Paradym. I did like the forgiveness but I got the normal Paradym so it wasn’t much of any difference for me. Besides spin rate and distance (better distance with Paradym but by only about 3-5 yards).
I bought the TD. I like the shape better. I like the smaller more triangulated shape vs the more bulbous toe on the TM. I also like the muted but strong sound on the TD more. The TM seemed more dull and I was harder to "feel" exactly where on the face I was hitting.
When I tried both I much preferred the feel and sound of the stealth 2. Unfortunately none of the new offerings were any better than my old Titleist TSi2 so it's staying in the back and I've saved myself a few quid
using the cobra Ltdx Driver..changed from the sim2 max..as the cobra is more consistent on not so good hits...the face is a proper hot spot...just my opinion😊
I would give the edge in appearance to the Paradym, although I don't really care for either one. I have a Cobra RadSpeed XB with a stiff Tensei CK Blue 60 shaft that I plan on keeping around for a while.
Honestly I love both the Stealth2+ and the Paradym TD. The Paradym was definitely longer for me when I tried them out, but the Stealth was consist ball flights and even the misses got me some distance and weren’t too dramatic
I got fitted earlier this year, I hated the stealth but, found the stealth 2 amazing and it’s in my bag now and I am hitting it better than my old SIM 2. I think it takes TM a couple of goes to perfect it.
Stealth 2 + for me Great sound and feel very forgiving and goes a long way. I don’t want to be biased but TM haven’t made a bad driver going way back to the R7. I tried a ping g410 briefly but hated the sound and feel so went back to tm and got a M5 and now upgraded to and stealth 2
I had my first ever driver fitting in March and they had me try the stealth 2 plus and regular paradym but when i tried the Tsr2 from Titleist it was far and away better. At least for me. The Cobra Aerojet was good for me also. I love the looks of the Stealth and Paradym but i think they're probably for a better golfer than me. At the end of the day it's all about the swinger. Not the swingee.
just because the driver is good doesn't mean the fairway and hybrids are good. Most of the time they don't even use the same tech, they just have a similar paint scheme.
Out of all the many drivers I have tried (I am awful a 22 HC) I judge by % of fairways hit. The best two I have ever had and still have both, King Cobra 440SZ with Aldila NV 65-S shaft. and my Ping G-400 with Alta CB55 R shaft. Hit both short 190-210 but straight (around 65%). 3rd runner up that I gave to my buddy that needed one. Taylormade Burner Draw club. Sadly only about 16% GIR Awful with Irons smh.
The test on dogleg right seems misleading. You slightly mush it the paradigm and it peeled into the hole. Worked great. Better hit on stealth and went through the fairway. Seems like apples and oranges. That sand wedge birdie opportunity is only bc of the mishit not bc it performed better
Video idea: the standard models at lower loft vs these 2 in your fitted specs. I get very similar numbers with my Cobra at 9° with weight back and 10.5° weight forward (fitted), but increased forgiveness and better sound/feel from 9° and back...
I play the taylormade Sim + original 👍 being a carbon fibre repair specialist I just can’t get my head around going to the carbon face of the stealth 🤔
If it looks pretty should not be a decision in purchasing any club.. it should be how it sits at address in your hands and how it feels when you hit it.
James, I don't see many people able to draw the TM 2. Nor the Paradyne. Why? Check the videos and Good Good especially. Odd. You all miss right with high fades.
Currently gaming cobra F9 but if I had to switch I'd go with Ping like rest of my clubs or Titleist Tsr. I think Titleist doesn't get due credit only because it released couple months before the others but in lot of the driver tests I've seen they have the fastest ball speeds
For the average golfer, we don't have the luxury where you try on the range and on course, especially with more than one driver. Does anyone know where you can?
Please please please can the vids on the Paradym stop. We know you like it. You've reviewed it about 40 times under different titled videos. Love the content but let's give it a break with the Paradym vids please ❤️❤️❤️ I'd love to see more vids on the courses for the cost of new irons money against chris 😘😘
I'd easily pick the Paradym. I don't like the red face and couldn't hit the Stealth very well. Don't like the red on the head either. Absolutely love the blue look of the Paradym.
Carbon drivers still seem to be a work in progress. Such big gains between the Stealth Plus and the Stealth 2 in just a year⁉️ Feels like the original Stealth wasn't fit for market at it's time of release. Cynical I'd say. I'll stick with my all titanium TSR3. Anyone want to buy a Stealth Plus that's gathering dust in my hallway that's lost it's pop?
Callaway for me this year! I’ve been 10 to 15 yards longer and the confidence it gives me knowing I’m going to be there or ther about the fairway is amazing. I’m sure it all comes down to me but with the paradym in my hands I fill like I can compete again with the longer players at my club.

I went with a Callaway Rogue ST Max 9 degree, +1 degree and neutral settings on the hosel. The forgiveness is incredible. Paradym was just a little too much above my price point on release.
Callaway drivers are Fore left for me. I have the Stealth² but it is being sold as I got a tsr² and it's much better for me.
Yes. Smart man. I want to give the Tsr4 a go.
I've got the original Stealth Plus gathering dust in the hallway and a TSR3 in play.
I'm done with being a mass lab rat while the manufacturer "refines" their products at my expense.

Agree
Large jump? I’ve cracked two faces about to go through 3…so many players have switched out of it
Between those 2 I'd take the Callaway, but I'm gaming the G430 LST this year. I didn't think I'd ever see you game a Callaway driver for a full season, so they must have absolutely smashed it with that one!
Stealth all the way, best driver all around. Its in the bag and staying in the bag.
PING G430 LST 9 degree, standard 55gram R shaft, yes it was fitted and is an improvement over my previous G400 LST, little longer, great forgivness, finds fairways.

Adam Scott uses the Stealth 2 plus.
A ceramic coating on the top and bottom will help protect the clubs. I put some on all my metals and it works good
I have two drivers, an M2 2017 with a strange shaft that I fitted a TM adapter on. I’m good. And a Ping G400, not getting along with now.
No need to change drivers if you hit fairways, and go 280 to 310.
Sticking with the Tour Edge C722 but if money were not an issue I would go with the Callaway.
I was fitted into the triple diamond myself, considering my hcap is 6 I thought a low spin driver was out of my ability range, it has turned out to be the most forgiving driver I’ve ever had, and as a bonus the ones out the middle go a lot further than my past drivers, love it 👏👏

If you can keep the ball in play more often with the Stealth 2 then it’s a no brainer for the sake of 1.5 yards.
going off the colors and shape, i like the Paradyne driver...
i tested 5 drivers this year . Ping g430 lst, Cobra aerojet , TSR3, Stealth 2+ , and Callaway triple diamond. The triple diamond won out for me , paired with the ventus tr 6x blue

Went with the Stealth 2. Playing mostly in GA and FL, I wish they’d would have kept the mat finish on those bright sunny days.
I chose the titleist tsr2 as my driver as I got fitted for before these came out and as I’ve not been able to hit the taylormade drivers for a long time.

I'm still hitting my cobra speed zone driver with an upgraded tour ad shaft, I've tried many newer drivers and nothing beats it yet.⛳⛳⛳
I bought the TD. I like the shape better. I like the smaller more triangulated shape vs the more bulbous toe on the TM. I also like the muted but strong sound on the TD more. The TM seemed more dull and I was harder to "feel" exactly where on the face I was hitting.
Noones giving my man credit for that transition into the golf sim room. Keep it up my man great video!!
I enjoyed the video, but knew at the start the Callaway was going in the bag.
I'm a Callaway guy through and through. Glad it won
When I tried both I much preferred the feel and sound of the stealth 2. Unfortunately none of the new offerings were any better than my old Titleist TSi2 so it's staying in the back and I've saved myself a few quid
I would take the Callaway of those two. It have the fantastic Wilson Dynapower Carbon in my bag
using the cobra Ltdx Driver..changed from the sim2 max..as the cobra is more consistent on not so good hits...the face is a proper hot spot...just my opinion😊

That must have been a tough choice James with both drivers performing well for you, great year this year for drivers from all manufacturers
It better be given the prices they’re asking this year!
I would take the Stealth. For my swing, it would be more forgiving. Right now I'm using an old Cobra S3 but looking to upgrade later
I got fitted earlier this year, I hated the stealth but, found the stealth 2 amazing and it’s in my bag now and I am hitting it better than my old SIM 2. I think it takes TM a couple of goes to perfect it.

Looks like the Stealth is the one. You played the fitted Callaway vs the stock Stealth. Get the Stealth fitted and do it again.
I just bought the Paradym TD a couple of weeks ago. It's a fantastic driver. I'll likely get the 3 Wood and Hybrid as well.
just because the driver is good doesn't mean the fairway and hybrids are good. Most of the time they don't even use the same tech, they just have a similar paint scheme.
@@stevenc9207 true. I did give them a test at a local place and they hit pretty well. They feel better than most other 3Ws and 4/5Hs that I've tried.
The importance of looks baffles me. I think SAS said a driver could have pink unicorns on it and he wouldn’t care as long as it performs.
I think if your playing for a hobby then every sense matters IMO. Unless your playing for a living. Which lots of people aren’t
Out of all the many drivers I have tried (I am awful a 22 HC) I judge by % of fairways hit. The best two I have ever had and still have both, King Cobra 440SZ with Aldila NV 65-S shaft. and my Ping G-400 with Alta CB55 R shaft. I would use either if someone gave one of them to me.....way expensive. I will be trying them in a couple a years.
Bring on the Calloway. Love the smaller footprint.
I have hit all of the new stuff but recently went back to my Sim2. Idk it just works for me
The test on dogleg right seems misleading. You slightly mush it the paradigm and it peeled into the hole. Worked great. Better hit on stealth and went through the fairway. Seems like apples and oranges. That sand wedge birdie opportunity is only bc of the mishit not bc it performed better
They are both great BUT I am still sticking with my TaylorMade M5 as for looks between those two, I like the Stealth 2 better
I am playing the Ping 425 Max. It was on sale and contrary to popular opinion I like the sound.
titleist is better. tsr3 is the driver for you and you know it. everyone seems to have forgotten about them, but were blown away when they launched.
Just bought the Stealth 2 plus for £200. Happy days.
Triple diamond in the bag love it
@jamesrobinsongolf is this you?
I currently have a Callaway Epic Max and love it.
Video idea: the standard models at lower loft vs these 2 in your fitted specs. I get very similar numbers with my Cobra at 9° with weight back and 10.5° weight forward (fitted), but increased forgiveness and better sound/feel from 9° and back...
TSR3 all day long. No question. 🙌🙌🙌
Better than your tsi3? Longer?
I would go with Paradym and i am a TAylormade guy. I play a Sim2.
My driver is a Callaway Hawk Eye Pro Series at 8.5°.
I’d have to get the custom stealth so I can have the matte crown. I just don’t like glossy crowns.
using a 10 year old taylormade burner 2.0 superfast. just reshafted it and it still cracks it straight. wish it had the adjustment for toe/heel weight
Forgiveness- certainly if you’re hitting them on average the same distance
Would’ve taken TM. Forgiveness will serve you better than distance when that marginal.
Paradym triple diamond in my bag, better dispersion and gained some yardage.
TSR slays both of em
I still use the Cobra Radspeed with the matt finish (for better players), my next driver will be more forgiving, but this thing goes
Better shape the draw on Callaway on final hit ❤
You should try the Mizuno, ping and Cobra drivers too 😊
*Stealth 2 plus James.*
Drivers ain’t matter , there’s days that you always on the fairway and there’s days your on the woods
For the average golfer, we don't have the luxury where you try on the range and on course, especially with more than one driver. Does anyone know where you can?
G430 Max the only way to go 😊
Burner mini James you know you want to
Good choice
May I have the other one? I'm trying to build my bag.
That sliced Paradym ended up closer by accident because it cut off the corner more
I’m still on the Sim 2 driver yet to try either of the 2 drivers until the Sim 2 stops performing 🤣🤣
Hey, James. Great video! Can you give us the specs on your driver shafts? Thank you, Sir.
I have stealth hd driver if I could have one it be stealth 2
New drinking game take a shot everytime that he take the head cover off in a video lol
Ping G430 LST for me! First Ping driver since the Tisi !
I'd easily pick the Paradym. I don't like the red face and couldn't hit the Stealth very well. Don't like the red on the head either. Absolutely love the blue look of the Paradym.
TSR3
Carbon drivers still seem to be a work in progress. Such big gains between the Stealth Plus and the Stealth 2 in just a year⁉️ Feels like the original Stealth wasn't fit for market at it's time of release. Cynical I'd say.
