    Father Meeks is a courageous, holy man. That he has not been silenced by Rome is a source of amazement to me. Though he has been on this earth the same number of years I have, I hope his voice will be heard for years to come.

    ST. POPE JOHN PAUL II: “The love of Christ is more powerful than sin and death. St. Paul explains that Christ came to forgive sin and that his love is greater than any sin, stronger than all my personal sins or those of anyone else. This is the faith of the Church. This is the Good News of God’s love that the Church proclaims throughout history and that I proclaim to you today: God loves you with an everlasting love. He loves you in Christ Jesus, his Son.”

    "Caving in to . . . the secular authorities in their repressive Covid restrictions on the Church is a denial of the cross . . . because it has allowed the temporal to replace the eternal; it has allowed the physical to replace the spiritual." Well said, Fr. Meeks, but to be fair, we the faithful in the pews didn't "cave in." The Church did. Where is the confession of this sin by the bishops and their priests? Where is the confession of this sin by priests who refused to defy their bishops and be carried off in irons if need be, like Sts. Peter and Paul, for refusing to obey the command of the government that we not "assemble together." Where is the confession by Pope Francis for barring the unvaccinated from receiving the Eucharist at St. Peter's Basilica? The decision by the bishops and priests to abandon the flock to run and hide from a virus is the greatest betrayal since Judas Iscariot. Where, in this Lenten season, is their public confession to the faithful and their pledge never again to "cave in" and abandon us? ***I apologize to Fr. Meeks for suggesting in an earlier rendition of this comment that he too, personally, had "caved in." I was not aware that during the pandemic he had continued to offer masses to the congregation, but that would be entirely consistent with his character. --M. Hurley

    Lot of echoes in sound made it challenging to hear.

    I’m guessing that in the history of the Catholic Church, parishioners have been excommunicated for far less than what American politicians have been doing. The reluctance to aggressively address heinous acts of blasphemy by church leadership confuses me. Instead more concerned about removing Latin Mass supporters?

    Father, biden and pelosi are not catholic. Why should we refer to them as such?
    They are bad jokes at best!

    • @isleman9473
      @isleman9473 7 місяців тому

      The Pope warmly welcomed Pelosi and Biden and he does not speak out against their apostasy. How can any of us have faith in the hierarchy given that? Have the forces of evil breached the walls of the Vatican?

    How can you keep your nonprofit status and talk about politics?

    • @memeh1290
      @memeh1290 8 місяців тому +7

      They can talk about politics. What they cannot do is tell who to vote for. They can guide one to look at political platforms and decide which platform they agree with.

      It is the job of pastors to lead their people to heaven. When political decisions threaten immortal souls, they have to testify to the Truth. The alternative is to explain to God why they failed in their duty and then confront the reality of an eternity in hell. To nonbelievers, this is a stumbling block at best or foolishness at worst.

    O, i should hav kept listening. I didnt know you were crazy. Taking covid precautions does not negate the cross. And gathering for Mass is not the only way to worship.

    • @memeh1290
      @memeh1290 8 місяців тому +7

      You do not understand the Mass! One can not worship without receiving the Body, blood, soul and divinity by sitting in your easy chair at home! Yes if one is ill, yes can be excused for not coming to the "table" to receive Our Lord. I am grateful my pastor held outdoor Masses for two years no matter the weather. We live in the Midwest. The Lord is REAL! NOT A MYTH ONE NEEDS TO BEWITH HIM TO KNOW HIM. Just like one needs to be physically present to another person.

    • @michaelwitkowski9205
      @michaelwitkowski9205 8 місяців тому +5

      Oh, Fr. Ed is the opposite of crazy. We worshipped with him, in person, and we thrived! Those (of you?) who believed the lies and the hype, who facilitated the government's wicked slavery, they (you/) are the crazy ones. Anyone who refuses to see that it was all a lie need God and the cleansing of Mass more than those of us who stood with Fr. Ed and knew the truth from the start. I pray for you.
