I find it hard to believe that so many of our protestant bothers and sisters know nothing about the early church fathers and have not read their writings! For that matter, this is true of many Catholics as well! Fr. Ed, I am convinced that your work in "retirement" will reach many more people and will be even more impactful than ever before!

Amen! I swam the Tiber in 2017, and am still grateful to the Church Fathers helping me to read Scripture from the lens of Jesus’ chosen Apostles. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows within the Church, but I imagine it got pretty smelly in Noah’s ark…and we’d much rather be inside than without!
I’m convinced that no organization such as The Church could have survived throughout tumultuous history by the effort of humans alone. God’s Word cannot be extinguished. For this old Anglican, I recently read Fr. Ken Geraci’s book “Why Be Catholic?” He had one word: TRUTH! I have been befuddled by the plethora of Protestant denominations. It’s time to “come Home” and no longer focus on the “Church of Whatever”.

Praised be Jesus This fragmentation goes for more than 500 years. We made a huge split about 1000 y ago and separated from Eastern church. It looks like every 500 y happens something really big. First roman empire collapsed, than eastern schism, than Luter's heresy and we are in good spot for another event. God bless

I hope you all realize that exaggerated claim of denominations gets used against Christianity as a whole by the LGBT etc.. crowd to argue against the Bible and G-d's rules.

The Protestants seldom show or speak of the new testament. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to the old testament.
