I like the ships where there’s a silent sort of love and respect for one another, where the relationship develops between the characters that transcends love, there’s always a bond. I always like reading fanfics like that, plus I tend to ship characters with that dynamic (royai, Edwin, ichiruki, Kataang, Shallura, Kainora etc). I am a sucker for fanfics where the unexpected happens, it rare to find a fanfic where you can’t predict what will happen.
Yandere x knowing foil is a really good dynamic imo, a tsundere insulting and yelling at someone which makes them constantly doubt themselves isn’t fun to read but when the receiver of the anger is fully aware that the other person is a total tsundere and goes to make fun of them for it/fluster them to get these reactions I find it very entertaining to read!

@@rose-a1t3 Canon ships tend to be pre-established in my mind by canon, and other ships are established by a particularly good fic or three. Old Married Couple is also a common pairing with canon. Oddly enough, Harry Potter is one canon I don't have strong ships in. I honestly take ships on a fic-by-fic basis in 99% of canon and tend to dislike ships because of their fics, not the other way round. Out of curiosity, what are some of your crazier ships? Fair warning, I avoid yaoi like the plague and don't know most popular anime well enough to be surprised.

I think I kind of misphrased something I said very few of my ships are really that crazy it's just the content that usually ends up being pure crack content. I also have just gotten into anime more so recently so i do not know many ships or have enough of an opinion on them to talk about them. I would say the weirdest ones would have to be Harry and Tonks (which sounds really weird but they were both adults at the time in the fic) George and Lee (not too weird just not common) and probably my weirdest one is Hermione and Remus (only if done well with no concerns about age and such) I really need to widen the amount of fandoms I'm in because really the only other fandoms I'm in would be mcyt and criminal minds

I’m a cannon shipper most of the time too, unless there aren’t any in cannon. Really the only exception to that is with atla lol. My favorite fandom doesn’t actually have any cannon romance yet, and the creator has said there probably won’t be any, so I just ship whatever there (it’s friends to lovers, mutual pining, smart idiot and idiotic smart guy, emo/nerd, really good ship, 10/10 recommend)

I highly recommend you give it a go, especially if you're a fan of shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender. I’m just imagining someone creating a fanfic with all of the god tier categories (ie. a forbidden love because their rivals, star crossed because one is human the other is a ghoul/monster, but they mutually pine for one another and are oblivious to the others affection. They knew each other as kids and (maybe they were friends but things went sour or they were always rivals and competed) but went their different ways before meeting up again as beautiful grown up individuals- and also have the height discrepancy.

I always like reading fanfics like that, plus I tend to ship characters with that dynamic (royai, Edwin, ichiruki, Kataang, Shallura, Kainora etc).
I am a sucker for fanfics where the unexpected happens, it rare to find a fanfic where you can’t predict what will happen.

@@rose-a1t3 Canon ships tend to be pre-established in my mind by canon, and other ships are established by a particularly good fic or three. Old Married Couple is also a common pairing with canon.
Oddly enough, Harry Potter is one canon I don't have strong ships in.
I honestly take ships on a fic-by-fic basis in 99% of canon and tend to dislike ships because of their fics, not the other way round.

I think I kind of misphrased something I said very few of my ships are really that crazy it's just the content that usually ends up being pure crack content. I also have just gotten into anime more so recently so i do not know many ships or have enough of an opinion on them to talk about them. I would say the weirdest ones would have to be Harry and Tonks (which sounds really weird but they were both adults at the time in the fic) George and Lee (not too weird just not common) and probably my weirdest one is Hermione and Remus (only if done well with no concerns about age and such) I really need to widen the amount of fandoms I'm in because really the only other fandoms I'm in would be mcyt and criminal minds

I’m a cannon shipper most of the time too, unless there aren’t any in cannon. Really the only exception to that is with atla lol. I’m really only in a few fandoms, so I don’t really have a wide scope, but of the ones I’m in I’ve been pretty good with cannon ships. My favorite fandom doesn’t actually have any cannon romance yet, and the creator has said there probably won’t be any, so I just ship whatever there (it’s friends to lovers, mutual pining, smart idiot and idiotic smart guy, emo/nerd, really good ship, 10/10 recommend)

Feel like the angry and sunshine trope has a lot of potential for cute moments, especially when the angry character cares for the sunshine and sees that maybe they’re not acting as happy as usual and tries to defend them or make them happy, showing that they care for each other not with attitude or words, but with actions.

I highly recommend you give it a go, especially if you're a fan of shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender. Excellent worldbuilding and characters with a cool magic system and really engaging storyline.
My favorite ship dynamic is a serious, no-nonsense, tired thirty something and a bubbly, happy-go-lucky, late twentiesish something that act like they can't tolerate each other but are actually married and in charge of a group of teenagers whose number can go from 2 to 40 and anything in between.
