This is what I did over the past year. I stopped ALL client work. I am also a healthcare worker, and it felt like my entire life was dedicated to everyone else. It has been wonderful to do my photography just for me! Even did Rt. 66!
Have had many people ask why I don’t do photography for living. First over 18 years never considered myself talented enough to make a living from it. Even though I have made from it. And I couldn’t imagine ruining something I’ve enjoyed so much to escape my current job’s stress than photography. I would have no escape. Never cared who followed me on instagram it is a journal. It’s a place to release what I saw and be able to move on to what I might see next. So could care less about this algorithm so many stress about.
Absolutely agree about how many do not see a value in photographic arts. I am in the NW Indiana area and this area could care less about photography. Fortunately, I am about an hour SE of Chicago, which has a strong art market.
