Hoobastank's set on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas was one for the ages. They opened with this track, and it was pure energy and enthusiasm throughout the entire set. Since it was basically a metal festival, Doug introduced "The Reason" by announcing "This is the heaviest, most brutal song you're gonna hear all day," and then did some hilarious death growls over the opening notes before starting to actually sing. The whole band radiated an awesome, energetic attitude. Pure positivity. I'm primarily a metal fan, but I have to admit, Hoobastank were one of my favorite acts of the day. Pure fun rock and roll.
