The very same locomotive that starred in The Journey of Natty Gann (1985), pulling a freight train.... ahhh childhood memories 🙂 a beautiful engine indeed 🚂 Thankyou for positing this 😊 Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
Erickderec, are you referring to the cylinder above the number boards? I don't know very much about steam locomotives, but I believe it is a feedwater heater.

Thanks Mitch. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I Looks Like A Shrunken Down 2816, Best Looking 2-8-0 Ever.
The KVR takes really good care of it.
It doesn't matter what kind of steam locomotive it is, you can't stop it from getting sentimental to You.
That's true Jake.
I wonder if the Canadian Steam Program will ever come back to life since the CP-KCS Merger besides with 2816?
It would be nice.
Excellent
Thanks Cinzia. I'm glad you liked it.
Hey, thanks for uploading this, currently learning about the C.P.R and this is really helpful.
Your welcome Craft King. Glad you found it helpful.
Thank you so much for taking me Trackside with you A+ video, 😀 cheers from no Steam in eastern Ontario,. Steam freak Steve!
Thanks Steve. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I wish there were more steam locomotives in Canada
Me too Steven. Hopefully they can get the 6060 back up and running in Alberta.
Super video about interesting trains. Joe
Thanks Joe. Yes, they have a fantastic little operation. I spent a week there making this video and had a great time. Shane
we might not have many preerved locos, but we do have some really good ones :)
great video btw
Thanks Oba the last. That's true. It would be nice if they could get the CNR 6060 back up and running in Alberta.
@@CanadianrailroadsCathey’re close now, my guess would be next year it could be done
@@backonpro5679 Well, that is certainly a day I'm looking forward to. :)
This is the same engine from the movie Dudley doo right. I wish it still had the really big train plaque on the front of it 😂
I'll have to watch it.
3716 is like a brother of 2816 and a sister of 2317 they look alike
It would be nice to see them all together.
@@CanadianrailroadsCa
Agreed! It’d be nice to see 3716 take on the Lackawanna main line from Scranton to the Delaware Water Gap and return.
Makes me think of 2317 miss that engine. I remember when this ran with 2860 a better time
Yes, we've lost a few. I miss the CNR 6060. It's been out of service for about 10 years now. :(
does anyone know what that tube is in front of the funnel at the top of the locomotive
