This is an ok tool. I am a steel roofer and I used this often. But it is not as smooth going of the crests of the roof sheet as the Milwaukee. My shear currently is not cutting properly as the blades are not tight as they were when first purchased. I cant find a replacement head. It looks like I may have to buy the whole thing if I did. I bought of ebay. I live in NZ. We dont sell these in the stores
What do you think for cutting aluminum gutters? I’m a smaller dude so constantly going through prices and cuts with manuals snips can get tiresome and would also prefer to cut faster
Lol, lets see how someone with no experience can do! not so well 😂 thats ok a little practice and they be a pro. Ryobi has an amazing line even for commercial applications. We use tons of their tools for home and warehouse and no complaints. Nice review I wish I knew they had this years ago as they dont sell it locally but can apparently get it online easily! 🤙

That top handled design looks so much easier then standard
The Ryobi shear is great for flat metal work but while roofing a barn I ended up using my grinder for anything with several different profiles.

I wouldn't recommend them for gutter. They are gonna ruin the top part where it curls over.
The Milwaukee nibbler is a much better approach for cutting tin or sheet metal with ribs. IMO.
I bet you are correct. Ryobi did the job but I wouldn't use it everyday in the trade.
Getting the proper angle is a bitch i have this for work, but always retreat back to my tin snips. ... Ill try working on the angle of the tool
Absolutely correct
