Thanks for showing the internals of the new switch housing with new connectors. As this is very new for H-D, the people in the factory clearly still have to learn the careful placement of the wiring. It took them also 3 years to finally put the 4 spark plug wires in the correct same positions after the M8 came out.
This was the very first modification I did when I bought my 2022 Road glide. Makes the bike feel the well made, expensive, high end machine we all paid for. And such a simple fix !
I also purchased and received a Rattle Killer from Stefan, have not had a chance to install it yet but will be soon. I know it's going to be a big improvement because these CVO's throttles are very loose. Nice job Tom on the install.
Wow, I'm still laughing about the cool intro. That's definitely the master install video for the new CVO throttle grip design, perfectly illustrated Tom. As an enthusiast as well, I've already thought of discontinuing the Rattlekiller, as it's quite some work making and shipping them-however Tom, you convinced me to continue, for those other enthusiasts out there.
Truly appreciate you giving me the opportunity! Just twisting the grip here in the garage is such an improvement! If this takes off especially here in the US I can help with the shipping work! Excited to see your new bike on YT, we need a detailed video on the new suspension!
@@ITFZone There will definitely be a second comparison between Red Hot and Singlemalt (on Wilbers), can't wait to get her back, but it will be two more months.
Good video and I recently purchased a set of Airflow grips for my new '23 Highway King. Think I'll wait and order the Rattle Killer to have when ready for the grip installation. Thanks again for the great tip.
Another great video. I would only ad, make sure not to push the brake lever in when the reservoir is upside down, you'll push air into your brake line.
Good catch! If you do, after its installed, use a zip tie to hold the lever in the closed position and let it sit. That should bring the air back to the top and back in the reservoir.
Thanks for the detailed explanation of the new switch housing/throttle grip assembly. I've been very impressed with your videos documenting your experiences with the new technology.
Great video 👍 and this look like a great fix for the rattle! Does it just deaden the rattle or is it more like a frictionless interference fit? How thick is the material that is added to the bars?
Question: on your throttle side hand controls I noticed your “snap collar “ that clips around bar. You have no small “plastic pin” sticking out towards bar? Mine has a plastic pin and it won’t clip around bar as it hits the bar first. Did you alter yours? Or did it come this way. I have pics if I can send them some way.. thanks
@@ITFZone Update, I did just watch a video posted by KST Kustoms installing new 10" Apes on a 24 CVO RG and that throttle control housing also had the pin on clamp which he just clicked off with side cutters. As well as grinding off the Metal pin on Bar top clamp. My new bars are on and look and feel great!
@@ITFZone thanks I have watched that video and it’s very helpful but I’m still wanting to know if I need the anti-rattle pads underneath the heated grips on a new 24
All Harley's have this design. Really not sure the why but this has been the design for a very long time now. I just had no idea how much of an improvement this would be!
Big thanks to @ITFZone. I was the lucky winner of the Rattle Killer. It arrived today and will be installing soon. Thanks again
My first giveaway! I will plan to do this again!

Awesome! I have yet to try them out on a ride but just twisting in the garage I agree, feels precise.
@ITFZone Yeah, the wobbly/loose feeling felt really cheap. Now the throttle only has enough end play so as not to bind with the housing.

Perfect timing! Be sure to let us know how it goes!
Beautiful info video. All your videos are already shaved in my library
Appreciate you! I am a nerd who has always loved Harley's

You better do, my wife has heated Airflows on her SlimS, perfect with the Rattlekiller now.
Congrats on the Highway King! Beautiful and collectable Harley!
Thanks for a really helpful video! It saved me a lot of time and trouble.
Excellent! Appreciate you commenting!
Good video. I have this installed on my 2021 CVO Ultra and it works great. Take care and keep up the good work....
Appreciate your support!
Thanks for the info brother.
Most welcome! Appreciate your support!
Nice work greeting to Stefan.
Ah he engaged me, he truly is a key contributor to the community!
Great and precise video, thx.
Most welcome!
I’d be interested in the rattler killer. Thank you

Hello, I would say it is of a card stock thickness and is a frictionless fit. I am really enjoying it with no issues!
Thanks for the quick reply. 👍

I will send you one. Would like your thoughts. Thanks

Great video. I'm lucky that I don't have the rattle on my like. If I did,, not sure I would attempt this. Looks like a Lotta work. 😢
It's not too bad! Great project over winter, unless you are in a warm place.
@@ITFZone I'm in fl. Nice and warm here. So I'll be riding. 😎
Where do I get this piece of stick paper

I am about to add heated grips to my 24 road glide, has Harley changed the bars or do I still need to order a set of these?

@@ICEMAN-HDnorth Got it! Need is up to you but the tolerance is not any difference from stock with the heated grip. My bike has the heated grips.
Does the heated grip affect the adhesive?
No it doesn't. I have Kahuna heated grips on my 2019 CVO RG with the Rattlekiller for three years now without any issue.
From the expert himself, I have yet to try it out on the road yet, snow and 19 degrees F today.
Do you have a HD recall eliminator?
Hello, not sure what you are referencing, eliminator?
Yes, it's called a Gold Wing
@@markman7 I'm with ya
LOL! Won't argue with you here!@@markman7
LMFAO, CVO Rattle.
Not only CVO, or Harley. Now as I focus more on that detail, I see new Ducatis and many more with loose tolerances on the throttle grip.
