getting on a plane to head to PHX one time, met Jake the Snake. I walked over because he had boarded with me early (I had a back issue at the time that allowed me to get on a plane early) and simply said, I don't want to make a big scene or want an autograph or anything, I just wanted to let you know that you were one of my heroes as a kid and it's great to meet you. He had boxed, and more than once he put the gloves on with someone that he had problems with, and always came out on top, I never underestimate who I might come across. I made a point of getting along with the guy and had no trouble with him. He was about 5'11 and maybe 145 pounds. I knew one guy that was about 4 inches shorter and about 185 at least. Stuff like that happens, but it makes me wonder if Jake isnt telling a story that happened to him, and is bc he and Rude never got along after WWE. He seems to enjoy the story of Rude being the victim too much. PLUS, he never told that story before Animal died. Wrestlers do that, as soon as a legend dies, you start hearing stories theyre no longer around to debunk. Like Hogan 'making up' with Savage just b4 Savage died.

My wife never watched Wrestling so I don't try to get her into it by playing old matches (I don't watch any current wrestling) for her but I play Jake's old promos and show her how menacing a person can be by WITHOUT ever having to raise his voice.
Nobody was more intimidating than the Snakeman working the stick talking about his opponent. I defy anyone to show me something more menacing than that. You can show me Lesnar being menacing but I think, "Yeah, sure, he'll crush me but I know the results. I'll be beat up - I'll heal and that's that. With Jake it's like, "What in hell is he gunna do to me? I don't know if he's gunna cut me up and feed me to Damian or something else, equally sick. To me, that's how you terrorize someone.

Therefore, jumping one person doesn't make you tough. I can assure you that individually he may have been able to take them all one-on-one. Just saying

    1. When he was married, liked to go to bars, leave his wife alone, and beat uup guys who hit on her.

    3. Got offended when Stone Cold would say God Damn all the time.

Women have a way of starting things like that too. My late father was the head electrician at a Max security prison where he worked. If a guy had good behavior and was not considered a risk the prison assigned them to a mechanic or electrician as assistants. A guy was assigned with my Dad who taught him as much about electricity and that trade as he could. He was not a big guy, about 5'9" my Dad said, and he was the nicest, respectful guy you could meet. He had a fellow prisoner insult my Dad one day and his assistant whipped the troublemaker pretty good with a metal object he had made to protect himself. In that culture, no one would tell on anyone and he got away with it. After hearing about this days later my dad asked him what are you in here for, the inmate helping him said attempted murder. Being shocked dad ask him what had happened. He said while at a country music night spot this very attractive woman came and asked him to dance and they spent the rest of the open hours together. When the place closed, the three bouncers were in the parking lot and approached him and one of guys beat him up really bad and throwed him over the guard rail at the back of the place and they left him there. When he woke up, he went to the hospital for three days, got healthy again and came back to club near closing time and waited at the spot where he was dumped over the rail in his truck. He had a pistol with him and when the bouncers came out to leave, he confronted the guy who beat him up, the others ran like mice. My dad's friend then emptied the pistol on that guy, but miraculously, the bouncer lived. The woman had been divorced from the bouncer for over a year and would do this to get back at her ex. The great thing was dad's assistant went back to college and became an Electrical Engineer. His dad owned a car dealership and he and dad had discussed my dad getting a new truck. So the assistant sent dad to his father's dealership where he bought a new truck for thousands less than he would have paid anywhere else. I still have the truck to this day.

So Rick Rude claimed, it was likely Rude running off the mouth and some good old boy redneck shut his mouth for him. There are plenty of wrestlers who have told the stories about how Rick Rude and his girlfriend/wife would go into bars and Rude would sit at a table while his girlfriend/wife would go to the bar and hit on men drinking and when one would show any interest Rude would jump up and run to the bar and beat the poor unsuspecting guy up. Rude was a coward and bully and he got what he deserved and its name was KARMA.
