Did you get any shaking noise from the air filter ? If you did, did you get rid of it and if you did get rid of it what did you do cause for some reason if tried turning it and all but then the filter blocks part of the lid so I can screw it in
No shaking noises. I haven’t had the car since 2019-2020. Never had an issues and it worked as intended. I would follow the instructions again or contact MST and see if your item is defective
This tube connected to the air box cover is not coming out... Smacking it with a mallet and pulling with everything I got. Almost seems like its locked in

sptt 144 I had the 2017 c300, 2017 e300, and now I’m at a 2020 gmc - as far as build quality goes and power goes bmw will pass Mercedes with all the options on it. The gmc is powerful and great build quality. The c300 was a creaking and rattling box. The e300 rattled a bit interior was beautiful but handled like an old grandmother trying to walk down a flight of stairs.

I have to fall into my 335i to get in the damn thing. Im only 6'1" 210 lbs so not out of shape but I need comfort with some power now. I can see the MB turning into a creaker. That's disappointing. icecubez130 no difference in exhaust sound. No difference in engine sound. This is an intake you take on the highways and streets and that’s when you “feel it”.
Vanex a 2013 c300 which I personally owned did not come with an air intake - you can either get custom builds like my friends did or get cheap 99. Dollar air filters at performance chip tuning and do it that way but there is still no air intakes for C300 2013s

My GLC had installed it. The exhaust manifold right under the MST metal box without any heat insulation and cook the box directly. Every time I check it after drive, the box surface hot as a fried pan...🌡️

Jerome Anderson not a problem bro, we all have to start somewhere. First - BMS intake and MST intake are two totally different intakes. BMS is exposed and give you more sound effects while getting heat soaked on long drives and pulls. MST is a closed air intake box like factory that does not get hot, gives you better performance than the BMS but no sound effects because it’s a closed system. If you are looking for sound and a little gain in performance it’s BMS. If you are looking for maximum performance for horsepower and torque gain it’s MST.
King Slade Yea it’s the best thing to do. The BMS sounds great don’t get me wrong. But the MST is strictly for performance with barely any sound effects. Lol
That intake kit is honestly useless for the fact that your still using the stock air duct pipe , I would buy so heat reflective tape at least and wrap that plastic air pipe and the inside of that air box , and buy some air scoops for the front because once that car gets hot so will that plastic and you’ll get nothing but hot air , you can never go wrong in taking extra measures for colder air

You guys also forgot to oil the air filter. Its dry. There was no oil on gloves after you handled it. Those filters are Designed to be oil. Otherwise you will get debris in your engine. Just fyi

did you tune your car with the intake. if not did the check engine light come on?
Can be used with or without tune- either way check engine light won’t come on. I had mine tuned and de-tuned. No issue

You won’t hear your Turbo with this if you want to hear your turbo you need to get the BMS intake but again it’s kind of a hot air intake
You just need a blow off valve I have one on mine I can send you videos so you can see how it sounds and where I got it from

You forgot that sound from 2 parts. They are Air Filter & Blow off valve mixed. Not only Air Filter sound.

Yea I agree. I kept a light touch on the drill so I wouldn’t do damage but you are correct hand tighten only.

Nate M Yea these filters run counterintuitive to conventional oiled filters. I always had oiled filters. Until I saw these dry ones.
