Review is correct I just got one and yes with CCI I had no misfire, no jams, no failure to eject. I agree with his review haven't tried running cheaper ammo yet though
I have one of these. Definitely needs high velocity ammo, especially for break in. Let's face it, it is a .22 caliber. After 750 rounds, it was definitely much more reliable. Very fun to shoot though. My boy loves it. (I used Winchester copper plate for the break in)
Love my Firefly great little shooter. I polish the feed ramp and run couple Hunter rounds through it the more you shoot the better it does. Hardly no failure to feed for failure to eject now even with cheap ammo. Got a recoil spring from Taylor tactical off of eBay made it run a lot better. Love the Firefly.
Great video thanks very much. I just got mine. I ran Federal 40 grain white box with the heavier spring. It didn’t like it. I then ran Fed 36 grain white box. It ate it up. Also, the manual says it has storage oil on it and to clean it off before first use. Rem oiled it. First day was great. I now know why u had ears on lol. I didn’t think it’d be loud. Got mine at Palmetto $179. Great buy. Again, great video and thanks!
Just found this..... PPK/S's etc. can be darn particular about 22s also. Tried to talk a friend out of buying one until a 380 was available. A week later he got rid of the Walther & gave me the holster he had purchased......Will be checking out some more of your older vids .
I own a GSG firefly. Yeah, you gotta put some rounds through it to get the shooting to smoothen out. Once you get it warmed up this gun will shoot rapid just fine like @ 9:28 Federal will work but it's not 100% reliable. Every other brand shoots through it JUST fine. Great 250$ buy for adults and first time shooters.
anyone else notice that at the 2 minute mark when hes testing the trigger, the safety/decocker is on fire (red dot is visible) and yet the hammer doesnt drop.. but when he flips the safety to the safe position (red dot covered up) the hammer drops..
An exact clone of the Sig Mosquito. I don't even think I'd call it a clone because it's made in the same factory on the same machines. Hence the name Firefly. I have one, yours should have came with two different recoil springs in the box somewhere. One is for low powered ammo like you were using. Mine won't shoot cheap stuff if it has the heavy recoil spring in it. Just doesn't have the oomph to rack the slide fully. Sweet video.
I got mine well over a year ago. Easily 1000+ rounds. What a headache. Jams with everything I try. Of course CCI's work best but I'm lucky to get through a mag of those without a jam. Not a fan. Any tips would be appreciated.

Kevin Tomes: I would have to be a member of a range, and until I got a licence, I'd had to let the range store it. We can't even buy 5.5 mm air guns without a licence. Tight as a drum skin, as I always say. On the other hand: even though the bloodiest drug dealer turf war in Danish history is raging on as we speak, there'd only been one fatality, very few injuries, and less than a shooting a day. When they finally _do_ get their hands on guns (mostly crappy ex-jugoslavian left-overs from before the fall of the Berlin Wall), they have no clue about how to hit anything. One of the shootings involved a sub machine gun, and even then, no one died or got badly wounded. Two days ago, the cops nailed 11 members from one of the gangs. The gang members were hiding in a cottage/summer house they rented through an ordinary vacation agency. The cops showed up in numbers, used a bull horn to call out the suspects, and out they came with the hands in the air. They didn't even struggle when the cops handcuffed them. That gang does seem a bit less scary now. What's left on the lose anyway.
