  • It took a lot of close observation, having the right gear and fast action to save my new African Cichlids! It's things like this that get people to quit and give up keeping African Cichlids. I get it! Let's talk about what happened and how I managed to avoid a cichlid aggression disaster!

After 7yrs of this I finally tapped out and started keeping more peaceful SA cichlid community tank. My blood pressure is much lower nowadays. Lol

This video makes me realize that I'm going to be a great gold fish keeper 😋

  • @chadcallaway8019

Usually it goes fine but the way you handled it was pretty cool and smart.

  • @terrygorsch386

    You gotta love it 😂🤓🎸

  • @cichlid_kings

Nice job staying ahead of the aggression. My personal opinion I'd give them 7 - 10 days if they look good add them to the big tank 😎

  • @lots33ml

Ben as usual you're information is spot on. Having been in this hobby in like forever I find all that you said to be not only true but imperative to keeping africans. Later bro

  • @PriceTagAquariums

You are all in a time out! 😅

  • @brianhahn3296

Wow beautiful fish but usually a problem, had two eye biters and both had to remove

  • @chadcallaway8019

Your musical chairs scenario was funny! I love it. What a tremendous great effort . I ordered dividers now. Thanks.

  • @enriquefors3284

Oh yeah, that is so common with African cichlids!😅 I think they will be Ok for the rest of the quarantine period. I also think the aggression will be well spread in the 300 gals tank. Good luck, Ben!

  • @jormungandr9840

Yeah, I have been dealing with random aggression that pops up out of nowhere. I lost a Blue Blood dragon, John Stoni, and a Buccochromis nototaenia. It has made me pull my hair out, I always wanted a peacock and hap tank since I was a kid. There are a few others I want but I don't want to keep killing fish the dividers give me hope. It's been a few months since the last and it seems like everything died down so I don't want to upset the balance. It was never one particular fish that picked on one of the 3 above. The alpha never cared he seems like the most chill. But yeah that is a beautiful tank thank you for the info.

  • @JaymePaladino

I like that shirt a lot. Is it in the description?

  • @danielcaruana4896
