I could see you with some Hemichromis fasciatus some camourounesis and a buttikoferi in one of them big tanks. Come to the dark side big ben . The real beasts of the aquarium world. The Hemichromis fasciatus I have is named big Ed Kemper it's fitting
Eyebiter is awesome. Saw an albino baby one at PetSmart of all places.
I wonder if being an albino he’d be more aggressive?
@@BenOchart not sure I should've bought it, think it got accidentally brought in with some basic cichlids in a bulk shipment because there was no tag for it.
Beautiful selection of fish. I have not bought any new cichlids for going on 4 years. South and Central American cichlids in my collection never get sick and never die- unlike lake Malawi Africans which had much shorter life spans. My Giant Red Tailed Gourami are said to live longer than dogs- up to 25 years.
I refuse to buy fish that might outlive me🤣🤣🤣
@@BenOchart my mom lived to 98, that gives me another 24 years I hope. I will try to out live those Red tailed Giant Gouramis! Lol

How do you feel about GMOs Mr. Ochart? I feel there is a range. Parrot fish and Goldfish are an example of being far, far removed. Whereas African cichlids, and guppies are subjected to interbreeding. Where is the line? What are you thoughts on the importance of genetic diversity at the cause of results ?
Hey 👋 ben. 🐟. I have a mdoka white lips. Tht stopped eating 3 days ago. All the other fish are eating. I put garlic guard in food. He still didn’t eat 🥲. Any tips. ?
