as a pharrell fan from way back in the 90s and 200s when he and Chad (Neptunes) were running the game, i'm glad that they made this to teach the younger generation that Pharrell is a LEGEND. that being said, why bother feature the songs he sung on. almost anything pharrell sung on he co-wrote and in many cases produced. if you're gonna make a list like this of songs people wouldn't know he wrote, then make a list with songs he was not featured on. that way it's less obvious and has more of a surprise factor

Pharrell wrote album tracks for MJ so he could produce his album, MJ said no. Instead he split the tracks and gave them to Usher and JT. They both used the tracks as a base for their albums and both went to #1. He's crazy talented.
Thank you Pharrell for being talented enough to write nothing but infectious rhythms and beats that changed the game every time they were released.

I never thought about if he wrote the songs he performed in as he is talented singer in his own right and plenty of singers never write their own music, that's nothing unusual. Him writing for himself and others is talent personified. Didnt know he was 40 (still looks in his teens, black don't crack O_O) . My respect for him just went up several notches.

False. Half the album was Timbaland, and the Neptunes produced tracks had writing from Latrelle Simmons who many of you probably never heard of. She wrote many vocal parts on Justified including Nothing Else which she actually sang for thr demo they pitched to Justin in the studio. Also not giving credit to Chad Hugo is pretty much criminal. Pharrell is still a genius, but so is Chad Hugo. Do your research folks!
