It’s hard to imagine our favorite hit songs being sung by any other artist other then the original. Or at least the “original” we’ve grown to love! These mega hits literally shaped the careers of some artists and without them, they probably wouldn’t have become what they are today. Take “Baby One More Time” for example. Where would Britney be if she hadn’t entered our lives in pigtails wearing that schoolgirl outfit? And guess what, she almost didn’t sing that song because it was meant for a different artist!
In fact there are a butt ton, 21 to be exact, hit songs that were written for another singer other than the ones who actually made the songs famous. So you know we had to make a video about it.
1. Hit Me Baby One More Time
2. Umbrella
3. Telephone
4. Halo
5. Gold Digger
6. S.O.S.
7. We Cant Stop
8. Disturbia
9. We Found Love
10. Don’t Cha
11. Boom Clap
12. Since U Been Gone
13. Rock Your Body
14. I’m A Slave For You
15. Boys
16. How Will I Know
17. Nothin’ On You
18. I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing
19. Let’s Get Loud
20. Toxic
21. All About That Bass

I don't think I can EVER imagine Beyonce singing all about the base
Yeah it would be terrible frankly.
I'm pretty sure it was for Rhianna even though they said Beyoncé. I heard them say Rhianna on the radio once when they were talking about it
I thought I heard it was considered for Adele as well
+Will Braciak No way I can even imagine adele doing that song . she's much too reserved.
I mean it's a catchy song but it's so cheesy really Adele and Beyonce sing that song I would be upset with them it doesn't even have a true vocal range
I could see pink singing since you've been gone
+Alize B Yeah I honestly think that could have been amazing. I have no problem with the existing version, and I'm biased as a Pink fan, but I think she would do it really well. It would be super cool if she covered it.
I always thought she WAS the one who sang it. but back then I didn't songs could be passed between artists
That's exactly what I said!!!! That song would have been PERFECT for her lol
ikr that have perfect for her
yes omg
Am I the only one who tried to imagine the songs with the voice of the other artist ?
Me, your not the only one
+Peyton Hamann you're*
+Della I so did the same, I tried to Imagine Pink singing it!
+Alexis R Castañeda Yesss i suppose Pink would be able to sing Since U Been Gone perfectly too just like Kelly
SO DID I🙉
Pretty sure Pink would have sung "Since You've Been Gone" to the same standard as Kelly :)
true dat
Probably way better even :)
cookie-monster ikr
wordsofabir yes omg yes I WOULD GIVE MY HEAD TO HEAR PINK SINGING SINCE U BEEN GONE OMG
honestly, just because these songs were hits, doesn't necessarily mean they would have been hits with anyone. lol just my opinion 😊
Agreed
i agree...
+DVRTY RVG LVRD So? What's wrong with being gay?
Emelie Talledo nothing. What does that have to do with Anything?
I disagree in the case of an artist like Meghan Trainor-who wasn't known before All About That Bass. If someone else had sang it, it would've been a hit either way.
Yet if Beyoncé came out with, "All About That Bass", no one would have been offended by that song....
***** I think that's debatable. Yes, Beyonce is queen and people would much less likely be critical of such lyrics, but I don't think Beyonce would even consider releasing a song with lyrics like that. Beyonce is like the OPPOSITE of problematic, and she has also established herself in the music industry as a legend. Meghan is a newbie, so it's different. Of course she'll face more flack for it. But regardless of who sang it, the lyrics of all about that bass are not as body positive as they claim to be. Not to mention Trainor has a record of being sexist outside of this song too..
***** I don't think people are offended with the song, they just don't like the way it's sang... at least I don't and I think that's the reason people don't like it
Why were people offended?
Aniya Martin People were offended because they thought the song was promoting being fat and being negative to skinny women. People will pretty much get offended over anything.
Doesn't make any sense. Anaconda was offensive to skinny girls, but all about that bass was just promoting thick girls.
Well Britney declining a song and then was released by Gaga & Beyoncé... I'm sure she ain't sleeping AT ALL at night...
She sleeps well because the song she used instead was "3" and made it to #1
Marcos Garcia if u're trying to convince someone that anything britney did is better Than Telephone... bro u're wrangu!
please, you are not God of pop to decide who is better, everybody has different taste in music, just stop...
Exactly ^ and I never said anything was better, I was defending Brit.
+Mehdii Laghzaoui As if Brit gives a flying F with all the hits and success she's had and still has after all these years! Her bank balance is so huge she probz lives off the interest!
One thing is for sure, Rihanna is the queen of rejected songs.
+Jon Tillas I wonder how she sells any song in the first place...
+Kels Bug W
be that as it may she sure as heck rocked them and you wouldn't have even thought differently until you watched this.
I tried to imagine beyoncé singing all about that bass and it wasn't good😂beyoncé has a voice for R&B AND POP not that 60s vibe the song was giving
ikr
+Cyntia Marcelin I think Beyoncé could have done the song justice.
+Cyntia Marcelin ikr!!! i commented saying that i mean bey is super talented think am her biggest fan but i just can't imagine her singing that song
+Cyntia Marcelin Keep in mind that just because the song was pitched to them doesn't mean it would have turned out the same way. The songs are given to their producers who either remaster the song or turn it into something completely different, maybe even changing lyrics. "All About That Bass" probably would have ended up like "Flawless" but you don't need two copies of that song tbh. If Bey got the song, it more than likely would have been turned into a trap song or something in that vein.
Beyoncé definitely would've changed the sound and made it sound sexier. Meghan was really going for that old-timey vibe with her album and the song was pretty bouncy and fun. Beyoncé's 5th album was more minimalist, sensual, and personal. All About That Bass kinda fits the theme but the structure of the song would seem out of place.
Rihanna would have done a better job with We Can't Stop and Britney would have been a boss with Telephone. Paris would have SUCKED at any song offered to her, but P!nk would have pulled off since you been gone since she and Kelly Clarkson have similar voices with range, power and tone
TheSeraphimCraft The "Telephone" demo is really good with Britney and gaga, totally check it . I'm still waiting for their collab.
Queen of Pop Gaga and Queen B have done the best job on telephone
Come on now, we know that Miss Hilton is worth a trillion bucks, and that she really doesn't give a fuck. :P
I agree with you those songs would have been amazing for the peopke they were originally made for.
Destiny Pouncy IKR!
OKAY.... It's weird because "All About That Bass" has that certain "old time" unique tone to it. Like a 50's or 60's vibe. You know what I'm saying, right? Not only does All About That Bass have that tone, but *all* of Meghan's other songs have that certain "old time tone" too. Literally... all of them. So I wonder if the *original* version of All About That Bass sounded toooootttalllly different. Like more R&B/pop. Something that Beyonce would sing, you know? Then Meghan & her team got ahold of the song... & tweeked it to have that "old timey sound". I bet that is the case. #CONFUSED
Megan wrote that song. It's hers. She wasn't famous when she wrote it, her job was to write songs for other people. Like the video said beyonce's people turned it down so she sang it herself
yea Beyonce turned down the song because she felt she didnt have the right apperance for the anthem.
+Mele Juntz no :D she was shootin with jay z at that time. truth be told people
+guinness4life I gotch' :D thought the same
But 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' was not old-sounding.
People are getting on Rihannah for not writing her own lyrics..... like really, most singers don't write their own lyrics. I'm not even a fan of Rihannah but Def Jams got her at about 16/17 years old because of her VOICE and her LOOKS, not her writing abilities. She was in a little singing group that sung COVERS. She has never even claimed to write her own lyrics.
Also that's why there is a career as a Song Writer, like some people have the talent for writing lyrics and some people are good at entertaining. It's amazing to be able to do both and I respect any artist that can, but if you guya are that childish to think that the music industry requires for a singer to be able to write, or even be able to actually sing, then like you have obviously been under a rock.
Preach
foreal. I have a strong talent in writing. I can write in versatile genres and envision who could sing it.... but can I sing? tuh! but I can sing enough to get the vision across.
+Shi Desi Examples of those people are Ryan Tedder, he's such a badass, oh Taylor and Ed Sheeran too, but I'll give Ryan the tittle of best songwritter of the century for sure
It's funny how people have double standards, like they accept and respect a songwriter that can't sing, but bitch about a singer who can't write. But no cares if a singer doesn't produce their own album.
People also come after Beyoncé for "not writing her own songs" yet completely ignore the fact that Whitney never wrote a song in her life yet they praise her all damn day. Beyoncé actually wrote most of the songs she sang in Destiny's Child including hits, and she has a writing credit on nearly all of her solo songs! Even notorious songwriters like Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift, and Adele have help on their tracks.
...decided to go in another direction
...decided to go in another direction
...decided to go in another direction
...decided to go in another direction
wow such great explanations in this video
So does Rihanna write any of her music? It's doesn't look like it...
A singers job is to sing, not song write
Lucy MTV yes, because if you write your own songs you are a singer-songwriter
+Marta Schmidt These are songs producers offered to several artists. Nothing to do with lyrics.
+Marta Schmidt EHM you do know that the 4 tracks named above are not all of rihannas tracks don't you ?XD because there are 4 songs rihanna didn't write no her own you come with that comment. Why don't you comment that about any other star mentioned in the video :D?
Jussef Osman Because I don't know a single song "by" Rihanna which she wrote herself.
I think she co-wrote a few songs of her latest album with an army of other people, but she herself did not write a single song in as many albums.
Leona Lewis has missed so many chances to be famous lmaoooooooooooooo it's hilarious but a little sad too
Steven Matthews
Am I the only one who can't imagine Beyònce singing all about that bass?🤔😶😂
Oml imagine 😂😂
Yeah I can't either. I think that's a lie
I actually heard that it was supposed to be Adele who was going to sing that song but Beyoncé and All About that Bass don't mix well
doesn't seem like a good idea
i can't imagine janet jackson (a black woman) wanting to sing a song about being a slave to someone
That's true.. But I always saw the song as in a "sexual" way. So, I see no problem with Janet singing the song.
iKawn eh no...if Janet sang it then it would have left a negative impact on the black community. "sexual " would be the second thing on my mind , at the least. The lyrics "I'm a slave forever" alone, would have been the punch line for any racists out there; probably to this day and beyond. People most likely would've used it to mock african americans
Kay Ess Yes, that's true.. But dancing sexy and carrying around a snake was a symbol for the song for Brittney. But if Janet did it, the song would probably be more upbeat and with her (AMAZING) dancing. I think she would have been able to turn the song into something ACTUALLY meaningful. To tell all "Black Woman" to treat your man like your King. It wouldn't mean racism/slavery.
Do you get that? I don't know if I explained it well.
What a dumbass
I REALLY wish Kylie would've taken Toxic😭😭
+Stefyy Hadar she thought it was a bit sluty for her taste...so she reject it.
Um no
+Stefyy Hadar But you do know that Kylie's 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' was actually offered to Britney? I'm glad Britney turned it down, because it is indeed Kylie song to the core.
Toxic is one of Britney's best songs ever
All about that bass with Beyoncé is impossible..
+Jocash Felder I can't believe this either
I've imagined it every single way and I've cringed each time
I knew some of Britney songs we're meant for other people, but i can't imagine Janet singing Ima Slave 4 U...
It only fits Britney
Yep
I feel like Britney was trying to imitate that whispy-sexy sound Janet always had with "I'm a Slave 4 U"
I think that "since you've been gone" would be really good sung by p!nk
I actually thought it was song by Pink.
I screamed the same thing...K.Clark ain't got NOTHING on P!Nk's powerful, beautiful growl
I thought the same thing
I was thinking the same thing!!!!
I'm really glad Megan got 'All About That Bass' because honestly if it came from Queen B (whom I love) it just wouldn't have the same message. Let's be honest Megan has a little more to say about being comfortable with your body then Beyonce because B is curvy and Megan's just a little on the heavier side.
P.S. No hate please I love Megan Trainor she's amazing, but I'm just stating an honest opinion. She's not fat, but she's not REALLY skinny. Obviously she agrees, she did take the song after all.
I actually agree with that a lot. I can't imagine it having the same message or sounding as cool if Beyonce sang it (even though I'm a huge fan of hers).
I don't think All About That Bass would fit Beyoncé actually
She's obviously great great singer but I think the song suits Meghan's vocal more
Especially since she refers to women as "skinny bitches" in the song, and Beyonce is too body positive to ever sing something like that.
i think it was i can imagine beyonce voice going well witht the song plus beyonce loves girl dancers in videos
Rakhil T. After she said "skinny bitches" she also said in the music video "nah im just kidding"....
Danniel Del Rosario That doesn't excuse the offensive remark she made. It's like when people say "no offense, but" and then continue to say the mean thing they were going to say, anyways. They think it softens the blow, but it's just as mean.
Also, right after she said she's "just kidding" she went on to say "I know you think you're fat but you're not." This line assumes that all the "skinny bitches" think they are fat. This line of thinking makes two mistakes. First it presupposes that being fat is bad. She assures them they are not fat. But what if they really are? What's wrong with that?
Secondly, the line gives the impression that the "skinny bitches" she refers to are really not that skinny, and are ones with psychological issues that make them think they are fatter than they really are. She comforts those women. But what about the women who are actually skinny, and know they are skinny and are okay with it? Is that suddenly wrong? That is a pure case of skinny-shaming. In one line, she manages to both skinny AND fat shame.
Congratulations, Meagan Trainor! Instead of creating an uplifting song about body image you managed to do the exact opposite.
Moral of the story: don't turn down a song if there's any chance that it's also intended for Rihanna.
thought the same damn thing XD
I feel like "since you've been gone" would've been better off in Pink's hands.
Thank God Beyoncé turned down All About That Bass. This song wouldn't fit her one bit... It's awful
I can't even think about Halo being sung by anyone else
I can actually hear leona singing it
@@annissagrant2619 ikr!!! Me too, it would be another world hit
P!nk singing 'since u been gone'? That would have been epic!
Would've loved to hear Hilary's version of boom clap ❤️
Totally agree.
To me that would have been perfect for her.
No Charlie pulls it off perfectly can't improve perfection
So what I've learned from watching this is that Riri's career has been based on getting leftovers from others.
stu wilks fr and she gets all the credits lol
Sia originally wrote pretty hurts for katy perry, but she turned it down, then it was offered to Rihanna, but Beyonce took it in the end
Diamonds was written by sia and black widow written by Katy perry
pink and since you been gone would have been dope
Yes. It would of
I was thinking that too
This explains some of the unspoken rivalries and hard feelings between artists in the business. It's like a freakn auction sale!
beyonce ???? all about that bass ?? i dont think so
+JJLove wow lol spell checking on youtube.... get a life lol
+Ravey Hart get an education
Get a life lol Leonel Mata :)
I think beyonce would've rocked the song
+Ravey Hart you get one bitch! you can't even spell
I can just imagine Michael singing Rock Your Body!😫😍🔥🔥
Where's Baby I? Baby I by Ariana Grande is actually written for Beyonce!
it wasn't mentioned because the video was made to inform us of hit songs (top 10 of the hot 100). cause I'm sure there's way more songs that were written for other artists but they weren't hits.
They only country hits.
*Count
Ariana Grande is a cunt so it doesn't matter.
lol trash song
I can see Hilary duff singing Boom Clap and Beyonce singing All About That Bass. I feel like Boom Clap from Hilary would've basically been the same as Charli's version. BTW...Don't play Shawanna bitch
Has Hillary Duff ever sang a song before I always thought she was an actress
Jane Killer she surprisingly has had a lot of hits... this was way way wayyyy back in the early 2000's though. Idk how old you are.. or if you would remember any of them... a lot of them were from they 2002-2005 time frame. I was also 11-14 years old during those years so maybe that's why I remember her songs from back then haha. I know a few of her songs were used for tv show theme songs/intros. Like "my super sweet 16" & "laguna beach"....but those songs were also played on the radio... idk.... she had a lot of hits back in like 2004 or something.
Hilary duff would be huge again if she had sung boom clap , her new album is good but she is not as famous as she was back in the early 2000s
I just can't imagine Beyonce singing All About the Bass !! 😂😂😂
i think Britney would do a nice version of umbrella...
no 😂
for some strange reason...i can totally imagine her singing umbrella...don't know why..
lol
A cuter version, RiRi is more dark
*Hears Michael Jackson's name*
*freezes*
*fangirls a little*
*listens to songs intended for him*
"Michael can sing anything and it would sound even better than it already does"
Charlotte Stallard
I feel that Rock Your Body is inappropriate for him. I'm glad he turned down the song.
Pink would have sung "Since You've Been Gone" way better than Kelly. :)
Hell no, kelly rocked that song, these things work out the way they do for a reason.
ItsLukeBruvaa You never know..
iKawn I think the song would've sounded differently if Pink had picked it up. But yeah, either of these would've made that song a breakup anthem
I agree so much
I think pink woulda tore it up for sure. But I don't think she would've sang it as great kelly. Those notes she hit were just badass
why dont artists write their own songs?
Well done artists just get offers to sing a song or can't think of any good ideas for a song
Marie Schmidt Because they are too dumb. lol But at least the world has a few of those *real* artists such as Lady Gaga, Sia, etc.
Marie Schmidt some artist more talented in the vocal/performing area (Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez. Beyonce, Rihanna, Janet Jackson) while others are more singer/songwriters like (Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Sia, and Meghan Trainor) and then there are some artist who do both (Lady Gaga, Adele, P!nk)
also certain freedom varies from artist to artist. artist who are big single sellers (Britney Spears, Rihanna) are offered songs that are written with the intent to be hits and sell alot of more money for the record label, rather then allowing them to write there own lyrics. Like rihanna writes her album tracks, but usually doesn't write her big hits
Because its very hard to write songs so hard i personally would love to be a singer my self and i would not bo where to start writing music its not easy what so ever hats off to the people who do and the people who dont but still help make the music come to life
Marie Schmidt The ones who doesn't write their own shit are consider as product, that is basically what Aura said, and the others ones are actually ARTISTS, there you have the answer...
Since you've been gone-P!nk
All about that bass- Beyonce
Boom clap-Hillary Duff
Moral of the story, Rihanna always wins.
Or...Rihanna doesn't write any of her songs
That's always been a well known fact. Because she delivers so well, many people don't know she doesn't. She's still a great artist and still kills the charts.
+nissa Purple Why not "Rihanna, another product of the mazes in the shelf."?
I can imagine Pink singing "Since You've Been Gone" it would be awesome if not better
Ariana's 'Break Free' was originally for Austin Mahone. There's even a version of it on youtube.
No way?! Awesome
misty what your favorite song atm?
But ariana was one of the writers on the song... That's weird
all this tells me is that Rihanna doesnt write any of her songs... or beyonce... or britney
Yup, Beyoncé lol she never writes her songs. Even "If I were a boy." She just stole it.
+JC Pinlac Beyonce wrote mostly ever DC's song
+Chris C she may have wrote 1 or 2 lines and got writers credit for that. She never wrote songs all alone
whitneylover76 If she did, why is she's the only person to even win 2 ASCAP Awards for songwriting?
+Chris C beyonce never wrote a song.and writing one lyric doesnt count -_-
Rihanna popped up a lot in this vid, she's good at choosing hit songs
Mj singing rock your body... I think that would be awesome
it will no difference on JT's take since they are voice-a-like
Rodeth Icong you never know mj would put his touch on it.
Notice how Rihanna's music is all written by others and she gets leftovers. She isn't anything special or a true artist
Artists don't HAVE to write their own stuff. I think rihanna can get away with not writing her own songs because she has really powerful vocals and quite a unique voice. I'm not really a fan but saying she's 'nothing special' is kind of dumb to say
Wtf does writing your own songs has to do with being the best artist of all time?? You're clearly a fucking dumb ass who doesn't know what you're talking about
Ali Ajami honey, continue stanning for your basic queen. The bitch clearly does not write her own music, and relies on other's talents for success. She simply imitates whatever the artists gave to her, and calling it a day and collecting money. just a joke.
Theladylebanon no the joke is actually you cause you're just standing here insulting her while she's making millions with her talent, something you'll never have
If she gets the leftovers and rocks em and turn them into hits she is a great artist. I'm not a huge fan but you can't say that rihanna is nothing
I would have liked to hear P!nk sing "Since You Been Gone"
I don't think the artists that passed up these songs missed out on them, because the artist who sang them made it a hit. Think about "Don't Cha," we hadn't seen a girl group with dance moves that exciting before. Paris' ..uh..singing chops aside, if she did that song it's probably be a video of her rolling around looking hot while singing in a Marilyn Monroe "Happy Birthday Mr.President" -esque tone. "We Can't Stop" would have just been one of Rihanna's B-side songs, probably never become a single. "Baby One More Time" lyrics aren't deep enough for TLCs taste. I could see Leona Lewis singing "Halo" beautifully but it'd probably only be popular in the UK since none of her singles are as worldwide recognized as "Bleeding Love."
Funny enough Britneys song "Boys" ALWAYS gave me Janet Jackson vibes, even when it came out.
I thought pink wrote her own stuff? 😒
+Mikelle Graham write not produce
A lot of artists write their own music but also take in other songs, you should be able to tell what's them and what's not most of the time
+Mikelle Graham Before Misundazstood, Pink didn't write her own stuff. In fact, that's what Don't Let Me Get Me was all about. L.A., her producer told her she'd be a popstar if she changed herself to be more like Britney Spears, the biggest star at the time. It was a trend to manufacture pop stars.
OH god this people .......when a star ONCE takes a song he/she didn't write herself you directly think she never wrote own songs what's wrong with you guys :D?
+Mikelle Graham she does....
Did you know that lady gaga ft. Beyonce telephone sold the most copies in a collaboration.
I can see Michael Jackson singing Rock Your Body...
I think p!nk would have been able to sing since you've been gone just as good or even better tbh.
she's boring tho
linkinprk09
no she's not P!nk rocks
linkinprk09 the whole point of P!nk the complete opposite of boring, I mean have you even heard her music. For real Psshhhh
Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" for Celine? Oh my god. I'm so glad they kept it.
What about Come & Get It by Selena Gomez? I thought Rihanna was going to Sing it?
Fact: Come & Get It got #1 ... Remember 😂
Come and Get it was never number #1.
It only went to number 6 in the Billboard hot 100 USA , But Number one in Dance chart Billboard
Cookiez Sweets it was selena's first number 1 hit
Jelke Lenaerts Not true at all. She never had a #1 hit lol.
***** umm acutally that was her very first number 1 like all around the world
i would've loved to hear Leona's rendition of Halo!
Aaaand over half of these hits have great glee covers too ♥ :'D
Amazing job Misty, as always!
if Beyonce did all about that bass she would have gave it a whole different vibe
Rihanna has a smart management team who pick great songs for her, leading to her successful career. However, she's so overrated given the fact that she doesn't have fantastic vocals and doesn't write her own music.Mad props to her team!
In my opinion, it's not only that an artist picks a nice song that is a hit, but it also has to fit his/her personal stule. I don't seriously imagine Chris Brown singing Disturbia, just as I can't imagine Britney singing Umbrella or Beyonce I'm All That Bass. The only cases I can actually imagine are Britney doing Telephone and Leona singing Halo. I would love to hear Leona's version of Halo, actually.
I thought Megan wrote All About that Bass by herself. She said so in interviews.
She did wrote it by her own self these guys need to fix there news straight.
The music industry doesn't want you to know that.
Sh wrote it for beyonce! But she sang it because Beyonce was already busy
ohh okay lol
TheQu500 Nice profile picture c:
wow, awesome! thanks for this! it's neat to imagine those would-be artist singing these songs instead.
Break Free by Ariana Grande was supposedly originally planned for Austin Mahone
+Alexis Smith Really? I could totally see that! Idk if I'd like it as much though
I can't imagine Beyonce singing All about that bass!!
Party In The USA was written for Jessie J but Miley Cyrus took it and Do It Like a Dude was written for Rihanna but Jessie J took it.
Jessie J wrote the song but wanted to give in to Rihanna but Justin Timberlake told Jessie J to use the song for her 1st single
Yeah I know. Jessie J wrote party in the USA, too.
Miley didn't took it, it was just an opportunity for her to sing it and just to remind you that Jessie J gave it to Miley Queen Cyrus 🌸
Jessie J didn't take it, she wrote. Because she writes songs.
That would be so interesting and different to hear All About That Bass in an R&B kind tune
Baby One More Time would have been big for TLC!!!!!
it's cuz your black
Racist^
Bitch Bye!!!! I Happen To Be A Fan Of Britney Spears And TLC. No Racist Shit. Also, Baby One More Time Is My Song And I Love It By Her. GTFO!!!
Let's Get Loud was written by Gloria Estefan and she gave it to Jennifer, cause she thought she had too many similar songs already. However she recorded her own version for the "Little Miss Havana" album as bonus track. And to be honest even when Gloria is the original writter, J.Lo rocks the song.
Michael Jackson could of sang any of these song if he tried.
He wouldn't even have to try.
Tyler Oakley Fan Exactly
He wouldn't want to because they are all shit songs
If he would born in 17 century he even would never be in the local choir....
Magda Draganova Because Michael belong to 2050 ?
I'm pretty sure meghan said all about that bass was meant for Beyonce but she didn't have the body the song was about and meghan couldn't find anyone else with the body and the right vocals so she sang it herself cuz she didn't want such a great song to go to waste...
I kinda think only meghan could do all about bass I think meghan's deeper vocals would work.
I would've loved to hear Beyonce sing "All About That Bass" but Meghan clearly owned it!
Thank God Beyonce passed on All About That Bass. That song's freakin annoying.
I like Beyonce but I can't see her singing all about that bass
toxic would have been perfect for Kylie
BEYONCE WOULD NEVER SING ALL ABOUT THAT BASS THOUGH...BUSY? NAH, SHE TURNED IT DOWN FOR SURE.
This is why you write your own songs people.
Funfact: Britney and Iggy's "Pretty Girls" was originally written by Little Mix for their 'Get weird' album, but they thought they could do better, and gave it away.
Figures.
would of been cool to see Beyonce singing all that that base
Did anyone else want Lizzie McQuire (Hillary Duff) to sing Boom Clap? That would've been golden.
I would want to hear Bey's take on All About That Bass.
“When life gives you lemons, don’t make orange juice!!! MAKE FREAKING LEMONADE!”
WHEN I GROW UP WAS WRITTEN FOR BRITNEY
I could see that
I'm glad that a lot of artists passed on some of these songs.
I'm glad Beyonce didn't take that song cuz if she did people would've turned it around & woulda gave people another reason to hate on her. I'm sure you'll see a lot of that in the comments for this video.
I can totally see P!NK singing since you been gone
I don't think any of these songs that were past Beyonce's way were really written with her in mind, it seems most probably these song writes just pasted their songs her way hoping she'd actually pick up the song, basically using her name to present their song (and themselves) to a larger audience. Sort of a get rich quick scheme. Beyonce is a very tight nit collaborator and usually works with the same writers on all her music, no randoms.
She works with randoms lol like Naughty Boy and Gaga. Not tight nit to me
+Marcos Garcia Random artists sure but WRITERS no.
ok
+Mikal G. So, you and Beyonce are besties?
Joe Nilly duh
Thx RiRi & Brit for giving us "Umbrella, Slave 4 u, Oops & Disturbia " the right way!
beyonce would be my second choice...just saying. she isn't all that great to me honestly.
Ashnie Desir Yeah I know shes not everyones cup of tea, but at least ur not one of those jerks that says she doesn't have talent. (p.s. Beyhive for life)
Shut your ignorant mouth up
All the songs wound up in the right hands 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I think Hillary duff would sound so cute singing boom clap.
"When Life Gives You Lemons, Don't Try To Make Orange Juice, MAKE THE FRICKING LEMON AID!" I'm Dying 😂
also "break free" who was for Austin Mahone
Really
+Awiana Ophelia yes
+Melyssa Mee That would've been so weird
Lol Break Free would’ve made him a STAR
1. just because they were offered the song, doesn't mean it would of been as big of a hit if they did it.
2. i can't imagine Beyonce doing All About That Bass AT ALL
Telephone by Lady Gaga was never number 1 I think if it had been performed by Britney it would have gone to number 1. the song was originally intended for her album Circus as the lead single instead of a Womanizer. Britney's label wanted to use the song as the lead single for The Singles Collection , but Lady said it had to be on Circus. the label said no and Brittany sang the song 3 instead. would have also love to have heard Umbella by Britney Spears
+Ryan Wolf I think Gaga should have featured Britney instead of Beyonce on the track tbh
Technically it was just for Britney as main artist. Gaga was never meant to sing it
+Ryan Wolf i hope you don't forget that lady gaga wrote the song
davincci tatchim Yes she wrote the song for Britney I know
+Ryan Wolf The song is too powerful to handle by Brit. Gaga and Bey's voice fit in well. Bad Romance and Telephone peaked on number 2 and 3 respectively on the same time.
Beyonće didn't get "all about that bass" because she was FLAWLESS
