For all my life, I could not figure out the difference between "to me" and "for me." Thank you! To me, you are a great teacher, because you are good for me.
Well, I did all correctly. Thank you teacher for your useful lesson. To me, you are the best. Here is the summary : TO : 1.TO + V -- Explain why. 2.TO + Destination. 3.TO me : -- Opinion. FOR: 1. FOR + Noun --- explain why. 2. FOR. --- A situation. 3. FOR --- Do sth nice. 4. FOR. --- Do sth in stead of sb else. 5. FOR. --- Effect +/- 6. For. --- Function
Your beauty reflects the artistry of nature. I coudn't concentrate on what you're teaching because all my focus has been busy in admiring the beautiful art of Nature.
Hii Arnel, you're such an incredible teacher. But one of the things that I love most about your channel is probably you are of the few teachers on UA-cam who actually make their lessons different from the rest. The structure is different: you use colors, a lot of desing and video editing. So keep it up!
After years trying to understand when I have to use TO and FOR, with this video I could understand the difference between them. Thanks Arniel, God bless you.
Im very passionate about level up my English in these days. After I have watched your couple of videos i feel satisfied a bit...but i would like to mention here you are one of the finest teacher in this platform who convey thought in simple manner to reach out every single person here. Thank you for your service. Looking forward to getting more knowledge from your upcoming videos. watching your video it becomes a quite habit to me.keep up the good work
I like to watch and hear Arnel's videos because I clearly understand them so I learn a lot from them. She is a very kind teacher. Thanks a lot for your work!
it's the best English training I ever see before.....Now I fully understand what's different between TO me or FOR me....it's a nice video! thank you, Arnel!
Arnel, your beauty and your skill goes hand in hand, both are remarkable. Thank you for your work. I am along term English -speaking as a second language and I still learn from you...
This lesson is so helpful for me because I was wonder what the difference between "for" and "to." Before I watched your video, everything had been the same to me. Thanks for your genuine teaching.
Once again a very interesting and a unique video. Never knew that the concepts of "To" and "For" has such delicate rules. To + 1st form verb, for + noun => this is such a great information. Thankyou once again Arnel for your efforts.
You are one of my English teachers. It does not matter how much or how less I have learned from you, but I have learned important things from you. Thanks a lot, Teacher Arnel.
It is the first time I watch your video and I have to admit that such lessons are very useful for English learners like me. In daily conversations or contexts, we sometimes face a hard choice to use English words, phrases, or sentences correctly. Please make more lessons like this in the coming days. Wising you all the best.
Thank you ARNEL. Gracias, gracias, gracias. Mirando sólo una vez, es difícil recoger tanta información. Fallé en el 4o. y aún no cogí bien el "quid". Sé que entenderé al estudiar otra vez el video. Tus clases o tus videos son muy pedagógicos. Gracias otra vez.
I appreciate the way you don't leave any aspect of uses of any word. You tell each and everything this is why I want a transcript to add to my slides when I teach my students. I hope you will pay attention to my request. Btw! Thank you so much for such amazing lessons
The most complete video about this I've found so far. If only you had recorded it 8 years ago lol, it would have spared me a lot of headache 😂 (Because from all you taught here, by now I wasn't totally sure or confident about only 2 out of the 9 ways to use FOR/TO 🙌🙏)
Hi ma'am Arnel, I've downloded some of your tutorial videos and watching it before bedtime. Thanks to you I have learned a lot from you. I'm from Phil. 🇵🇭
Your teachings are wonderful and I am very thankful for these kinds of learning videos it helps a lot with my grammar studies Again your teachings are great to learn!
I can't wait for another lesson; These videos are really good to learn tricky topics just like this one, so they're ideal for students. You're the best to me, Arnel. I'm looking forward to watching another video. Now I need to get a coffee and take notes of this video. Thanks as always, Arnel. ❤️
Hi Arnel! Today at the dawn I discovered your instagram channel and I am following you since now!!!! Thank you very much for share all your knowledge... Saludos desde México 🇲🇽!!!!!
7:33 if you mainly want to dissolve the confusion of "TO ME" vs. "FOR ME" like me. I might have to come back a few more times to let the subtle differences sink in. Have been confused for too long. Great explanations. Thank you.
I taught my students this grammar last week. What a pity I couldn't have seen the video before. Thank you so much dear teacher. You are the most motivating.
Thanks for giving us such a useful lesson! But I have one question. Why is “I stepped outside for smoking” incorrect? For is a preposition, and smoking is a gerund; I think it is grammatically correct, isn’t it? I am looking forward to receiving your reply!
I thought the same JeralHuang! What do you think about "I went to the library for a study(noun)? " But I suppose that is another context..I also know that natives suggest natural grammar...Something is natural or unnatural...and that is important I know..
Hello! I’ve watched a couple of videos from your channel and I really love the way you teach. Your English videos are helpful, but also you have a very nice and unique way of teaching. I’m gladly a new subscriber. Thanks for sharing these amazing videos. I really appreciate it.🙏❤️
Arnel, you are great!!! I've already watched other classes and thought I'd already learned about to and for. But some point was not clear yet, but when I watch your class, I got the light!!! Good Job !!!
Hi Arnel, how's it going? Amazing lesson, excellent explanation. I really appreciate the great effort you put into every video. You make it easy to understand what is difficult, you have the gift of teaching. Please, we need more lessons like this, for example IN vs ON, or TO vs AT and many more. Prepositions are a nightmare FOR me. Thank you so much Arnel. P.s. I got 9 out of 10 ON (or in?) the quiz, which means I need to watch this video more times.😊
I’m 29 years old. And still confusing to use that preposition, but i dont lose hope, teacher Arnel is doing her best to teach us. Keep uploading video’s and we will never get bored to watched it.thanks
Omg Prepositions are a hell when you're learning English and I was looking for a video like this that taught me how to use this two forms TO AND FOR... thank you so much, you're the best teacher EVER ❤💖
Correction: As what is said in the video, You have to use a gerund, verb-ending in ing, when you're using forward to in your sentences. These two words are both inseparable, so you aren't supposed to write it like "forward to learn", but it should be 'forward to learning' because the "to" in the context of your sentence is used as a preposition not an infinitive verb which you have to use "to learn" instead of "to learning" if that would be the case of your sentence. Hope this helps Jesus bless uu.. By the way, I'm still a new learner in English, so I still have many things to understand and learn about the concept and rules of English ☺️.
Miss teacher, your lessons could be used for every English student worldspread. Your lessons are understandable and teaching really detailed. People dont need extra resource and explanation.
God bless you big time!! Note: I watched this video for one reason only: to me or for me. And partial of it. Not for "looking forward to..." or not for "speak for him" vs "speak to him" etc. I watched this video only for this: to me or for me (ie: This is important to me. vs This is important for me). I wish you had put that part at the beginning or toward the beginning of your video. I think you put it toward the end so that people would watch the video longer.....just long enough ..before quitting. I almost turned off the video when I couldn't see that topic for so long. Anyhow, all my life ....and I am not a young person... and I studied English intensively and professionally all my life... I hadn't been able to figure out "to me or for me" matter. This video helped. I can't thank you enough. I glanced at your other videos too. Your videos are unique in this and I like it very much and this is what is going to make people watch your videos and please continue to do the same: You are teaching nuances, such as to me or for me, I have lived or I have been living. Wonderful job!! It looks like I am going to watch more of your videos from now on. I just met you at youtube today coincidentally.
Your teaching is so beautiful to me. We are looking forward to your next lesson. We are waiting for you. This class is for improving our communication skill.
