I have a son in law that wants to start selling on eBay. I sent him links to many of your videos and told him they were MUST SEE before he even takes his first steps. Thank you for all the time you put in to making your channel so helpful. Loved this latest "lesson".
That is awesome! Thank you.

I learned as a teenager that old well made things show quality even with wear...if it looks sloppy and poorly made...it was. I just don't need poorly made...they usually did not survive time...repos! I have 2 piece of jewelry that I bought because they looked new and quality, to find out they were almost 100 years old....now that is what I look for, even if it is hidden under dirt!
You learned well!
Another great video Scot! Buyer Beware!!! Thanks again for sharing all of those helpful tips & advice with us viewers, it's definitely a good reminder to thoroughly inspect any item you're interested in purchasing. I always appreciate your videos, they are very helpful & definitely worth watching!
Thank you again! I try to make videos that answer questions that I've had. I figure, I can't be the only one who has wondered. LOL
Thank you Scott, very interesting!
great tips Scot! something many of us wouldn't have even thought about.
It was easy to think about it when I walked into what amounts to a clearing house for reproductions.
Excellent information Scot.
Thank you and many blessings.
Thank you so very, very much.
super informative Scot! This is very helpful for me! I don't want to sell fakes!
Me either! My integrity is worth more than the cost of a vase.
These tips are great. There is so much stuff out there, that is not real. I am glad you made this video.
As resellers, we can help keep this stuff from being sold to people who don't know the difference. There's plenty of ethical money to be made.
Thank you for this great well needed information!!
Blessings 🙏🏽
I truly appreciate you being here.
Thank you!! 😊❤
You are so welcome
Thanks for this informative video 😊
I hope some of it proves helpful! :-)
Thank you for making this video. I know early in my career that I accidentally sold reproductions. I bet I’ve sold several counterfeit sports jerseys accidentally. Only by the grace of God have I not had real trouble from something like that. I know I have a few reproductions in my personal collection now because like they identified them as a reproductions and I’d like the look. Especially glass. Experience it’s so important in identifying reproductions.
I'm sure that I inadvertently did as well. I used to love football jerseys until I realized how many of them are counterfeit. Now I have to be SURE first.
Great video and info!
Thank you!
Sadly there are some resellers out there who don't do their homework before selling an item. I always caution people when the reseller says they don't know anything about an item but have been in the industry for years, you need to know what you are buying as they are hyping up the price by indicating it's old, but at the same time say they know nothing about it. Buying in an online sale means you are relying on that seller to know as you can't touch it. If they aren't showing the bottom of glass long enough to look at it, is a huge red flag. I know of one who is selling repros but they are not disclosing it. Thanks for making this video.
As a reseller, I hate that some people knowingly sell repros and fakes as authentic. It gives all of us a bad name. I will always preach the importance of integrity over profit.
Wow❤
Wow that place is huge, you need to get one of those neck fans when you have to be in hot places like that
Right?! LOL It was HOT!
Awww. I've been missing your video's lately. Happy to see you! As always, wonderful information. So many of the younger resellers will find this EXTREMELY useful. I don't sell many antiques because I have always been so unsure of myself. Thank you!
I truly appreciate that! I took a short break from making videos. :-)
I'm glad I don't deal in antiques, I'd probably go broke!! Thanks Scott!!
LOL...I bought SOOO many things that weren't real when Melody and I decorated our first house.
Honestly, I don’t mind having reproductions in my personal collection. I don’t represent them as real. But really I couldn’t afford to keep a genuine Tiffany or the like
My mother had that antique vanity marble top table. It didn’t have the mirror so she called it a dry sink
It was a beautiful piece!
Another great vid Scott ! , I just assume everything is repro these days 😅 until proven otherwise….
FACTS! LOL...I could have probably said that and made a 10 second video that was just as helpful.
That is one of my fears, that I might buy a reproduction piece that I think is Antique, and misrepresent it when I put it up for sale.😟
Mine, too! I don't want to mislead someone because of my own ignorance.
