Why CALISTHENICS? Trying to strengthen my back from the compression fractures suffered from the multiple myeloma cancer and there is no movement in calisthenics that doesn't require serious core engagement. Since calisthenics is STRENGTH TRAINING using your body weight, a high strength to weight ratio is ideal. In Thailand, with my diet of soups and salads, I am able to maintain my body weight at 145 lbs - a weight similar to that attained when I was marathon training 30 years ago - and still have excellent lean muscle mass from the protein contained in the soups (chicken and pork). Also, the equipment at FITNESS 7 GYM allows me to perform these movements at a higher level than I can achieve at gyms elsewhere. I'll explain in the video. Exercises shown: BAND-ASSISTED MUSCLEUP, BACK LEVER, FRONT LEVER, AIR WALK-TO-FRONT LEVER-AND-RETURN, CROW POSE (WITH HANDS), CROW POSE (WITH PARALLETS), PRESS-TO-HANDSTAND FROM CROW POSE (WITH PARALLETS), BAND-ASSISTED HIGH PULLUPS, WALL-ASSISTED KICK UP-TO-HANDSTAND (WITH PARALLETS, PARTIAL HANDSTAND PRESS, BAND-ASSISTED PLANCHE (WITH PARALLETS), BENT ARM PLANCHE, L-SIT HOLD (WITH PARALLETS).

Big thanks Ginpad!...😁yes some of these exercises took me quite a while to get to where I am at now...still a ways to go, but because my spine all out of whack from the cancer and flexibility is limited from decades of heavy lifting, so form will be less than perfect...not too concerned because the goal is to improve my back muscles and spine; stabilize the cancer damage....thanks for view and comment

Impressive strength Gary, you've definitely improved since your last video. I lift weights almost every day and can't do any of those. Damn 💪Keep it up, quite an inspiration.

Thanks Charlie! humbled by your compliment given your training routines💪💪...but all this still pales in comparison to the inspiration you provide me through the tough the life cards you were dealt 😕 - holding the family together; staying positive; and continuing to train🙏🤲...incredible, so I learn from your emotion challenge and it helps push me forward....keep it up....we both will rise to the occasion ready to face the wicked curve balls life throws our way✌....appreciate the view and comment

Would you say that Frank Zane had the better concept of the ideal physique.....i like the definition in your delts and arms...it sorta pops.

Thanks ET4!...can't comment much on Zane as I never followed body building much...was more of a power lifter....I was kind of born with those shoulders, arms, and lats...and just defined them through 42 years of weight training...I found what I was good at basically......and calisthenics uses A LOT of those muscle groups....if anything, I think calisthenics really helped define my delts....
