Even though Hoyas is THE least interesting plant for me, I'm getting excited watching the video because Kaylee is so gosh darn excited about her new silvery babies.
According to some sellers: 'Nova Ghost' grows (more) easily, has shorter spaces between the leaves on the vine and has shorter leaves than 'Grey Ghost'. Nova Ghost is a newer variety, but Grey Ghost has been around since the 70's, so some consider Nova Ghost to be an "updated" Grey Ghost.
Did she really just end the video like that?! OMG Kaylee you're killing me! The suspense 😭 My stupid ass staring at the play line like it's missing a piece at the end 🤦
Something I love about Kaylee is just how genuine she is. She's not afraid to admit when she's wrong, and is willing to be corrected instead of pretending to understand it all. I've been following her from the start and have seen such beautiful growth in both her content and how much fun she has in her videos. The true OG Rare Plant Queen
one of the things i really love about hoya is how everyone seems to like them for different reasons. you love that splash where i’m all about leaf shape/thickness. i love a thick leaf with an interesting shape. others love them for their flowers. there’s just so much to love
Okay, everyone, I have been listening to a TON of Kaylee videos while doing homework tonight and I stumbled across her Repot With Me + Chat! | Love Life & Shop Hurdles from June 19 of this year. At roughly 9:30, she states that shipping to USA from her shop will approximately be September and that she is 'gearing up' for that because it will be such a big launch for that. What month is it? SEPTEMBER! I know I am being a huge sleuthing creep by posting this. Just some food for thought. Kaylee, blink twice if I am right?
Hi Kaylee, I just wanted to let you know that when the fourth plant is named "Broget" at the end, it's just scandinavian for "Variegated" :) So basically its a Hoya Polyneura Variegata
Nova ghost is more round and grows way faster, and it is a reverted argentea princess introduced by Jodie Shumaker from Florida. Grey ghost is an older introduction with longer leaves and grows painfully slow, it is also easier to find
Okay I know this is a weird thing to notice and get feelings from but I absolutely love when you wear the plant shop branded t-shirts, they're the coolest shirts and it feels so laid back and like this is the whole point you're here. To talk about cool plants, you're not hamming it up for the camera, you're just being the real you
I believe the main difference between Kentiana and Wayetii is that Wayetii will get dark margins around the leaf edge, which I think gets more prominent with brighter light. So I think the first Kentiana you showed is a Kentiana and the second looks to be a Wayetii
It's because she has everything done and can now ship to the US!!!! That's my guess people! I sure hope I'm right, cause that could mean Canada is next!!!!
"Broget" is Danish and means mottled/variegated. In Norwegian you'd pronounce the T, but I guess that in Danish it sounds more like "brough" ;) You can't be 100% sure of Hoya species until they bloom. It's really confusing and I'm no expert.
It's funny how some ppl on here lecture Kaylee on the science and botanics of all of the hoyas. But not those who kindly explain to her and us all what's what... But those who just complain in a sentence or say she needs to educate herself through (insert planttuber name) 🤔 weird. Help us all out of you are in the loop about all the varieties etc ♥ 🌿 sharing is caring.
Wow! So much variety just in the H. Carnosa alone. Can't wait to see if there is any variation in flowers. I bought a carnosa which I let trailing and I have found three leaf variations: the regular thick dark-green leaves, thinner leaves with yellow patches and of the same with yellow and red. The grower may have put few cuttings together for bushy appearance, but not all of the same cultivar. They have not flowered yet.
I noticed that too. The Russian seller has such beautiful hoyas too. Unfortunately it can be risky. My previous order was confiscated and destroyed by U.S. Customs/Dept. of Agriculture and included a Grey Ghost and Krohniana Super Eskimo/Silver. (I DID receive my Carnosa Stardust and Obovata Splash today though! So feeling a little better.)
No matter what you want to share, I hope it is something that is good for you. I really hope it is something, that makes your life better and doesn’t stress you out, I really hope it isn’t something bad and the reason is great 😊 I wish you the best kaylee! Greetings from Germany ❤️
I did buy the stardust from her as a dupe for the Wilber graves. I thought it was just as beautiful and I don’t need my leaves to go pink. I don’t know if my stardust has as much silver as yours. Mine was ordered back in July and just came last week. I can’t imagine what Margarita looked like going to the post office 🤣
All right girl!...... you just poured love through the tube ! KNOW that you have your group right here who loves you !! This is the Kaylee Ellen that got me hooked on enjoying plants again 💚🌿🌿🌿 like Roger rabbit) don't let US politics and issues and ( fkg rude and stupid Facebook get to you)
hoya leaf shapes will vary based on growing environments so the best way to differentiate is the blooms, also hoya have many similar types under the same name so it could be slightly different but considered the same
I tend to say that the last ones are wayetii... I have Kentiana and wayetii (simple green versions) - leaves of Kentiana are longer, narrower than wayetii. Wayetii has wider, "plumer" leaves, they are shorter than kentianas'. And, the main - wayetii has that dark green or even black-ish rim on its leaves. It shows more obvious when the plant is grown in a bright light. In general, Kentiana bush and leaves look "skinny", wayetii - "healthy plum". So, because leaves of those two last ones you are showing are quite wide, and because the last one has a pink rim, I want to say that they are wayetii... But only their creator really may say, what are the parents. Or DNA test. I'm seeing the last hoya for the first time... It's a splendid beauty... ...When I see endings of a video like that, I think that a UA-camr is pregnant, or seriously ill, or smb's dead... But sure, it's not the case !)
Definitely wayetii. I own a regular kentiana, and it's leaves are looooong. I've bought many "variegated kentiana", and every single one has been a wayetii so far.
I have a hoya wayettii and thought it was a kentiana for the longest time, until it flowered. The flowers look similar, but are definitely different. I personally like the wayettii flowers better, but the leaves on the kentiana are prettier 🤷♀️ they grow slow and are slow to root when propagating. The hardiest and fastest growing in my opinion are the pink silver hoya pubicalyx. They are like weeds! They also have gorgeous silver markings on the leaves
I love Hoya at the moment and it challenges my patience as hoya grows very slow. I love all splash, snow, veiny, spots, Hoya. Thank you for sharing a more beautiful sub-Hoya specie.
Love the silver Hoya haul. To be honest, Im loving my Hoya carnosa I have so many new leaves. It was a gift from my aunt who took a cutting from my dad when I was a baby. Same plant..it’s huge
Aww Kayleeeee! I love seeing you happy and smiling! I hope everything is going well for you. I'm like everyone else as far as the ending.. "SUSPENSE" !! Please update us soon! Best Wishes to you girl!
The problem with Hoyas is that identification is not easy to do and although waiting for flowers will get you closer, even that is not foolproof. Basically you are buying what someone believes are a certain Hoya but also may be wrong.
LOL I agree with you. I don't like pink or pink plants but for hoya I am HERE for it! I think both of yours are wayetti. Kenetiana leaves are thinner and longer. You will know for sure when they flower! Can't wait to see why we aren't getting more halls or plant with me's! Cliff hanger!!!!
Perhaps the outlier on this one, but this was 10 plants that 10 cultivars of 3 species. I wonder if she will get intrigued when she comes to learn how many species of hoya there are - and more all the time getting discovered.
Kentiana albo is my fav too. I received a kentiana variegated from Etsy a few weeks ago. It did have longer thinner leaves than yours. It sadly, did not survive so I could be not remembering right.
First of all, what a cliffhanger. Super intregued. Second of all, I am going to pick up a variegated kentiana (among others) today and I am soooooo excited!
There’s so much variability in leaf shape/size within each species of Hoya, makes me feel like most of these new cultivars are slightly different mutations of the same plant. A genus of dupes 😝
First of all, WE LOVE THE GOOD MOOD KAYLEE! Like the energy was radiating from the screen. And second of all....what just happened to the ending
Agreed!
Anybody else rewatch the end like 10 times????? KAYLEE WHYYYYY
I thought my UA-cam was broken!
Me! Me! Me! I thought I did something wrong!
I had to back up and rewatch the end because I thought my video was broken!
Me. I was like what happened!
I had to call my daughter into the room and had her watch it because I was like "what am I missing"
Kaylee!!! You can't leave it like that. This is worse than when your favourite TV show goes on a mid season hiatus
THE END. WHY YOU DO THISSSSS 😱😵
Even though Hoyas is THE least interesting plant for me, I'm getting excited watching the video because Kaylee is so gosh darn excited about her new silvery babies.
I legit got a small anxiety attack after watching the end. How did I get scared while watching plant video? o.O Can't wait for the next one.
😂
According to some sellers: 'Nova Ghost' grows (more) easily, has shorter spaces between the leaves on the vine and has shorter leaves than 'Grey Ghost'. Nova Ghost is a newer variety, but Grey Ghost has been around since the 70's, so some consider Nova Ghost to be an "updated" Grey Ghost.
Did she really just end the video like that?! OMG Kaylee you're killing me! The suspense 😭 My stupid ass staring at the play line like it's missing a piece at the end 🤦
Me too😂
Did she die?
The ending...
Goosebumps lol
I dunno why but that's wt i felt and a little scared 🤣
I’m so glad to hear about your positivity today 💕✨
What is happening? Wtf?
Something I love about Kaylee is just how genuine she is. She's not afraid to admit when she's wrong, and is willing to be corrected instead of pretending to understand it all. There's nothing I hate more when watching something is it ending with a cliffhanger 😂.
Okay, everyone, I have been listening to a TON of Kaylee videos while doing homework tonight and I stumbled across her Repot With Me + Chat! | Love Life & Shop Hurdles from June 19 of this year. Kaylee, blink twice if I am right?
I think that too... 👀
The site is under maintenance too
Hi Kaylee, I just wanted to let you know that when the fourth plant is named "Broget" at the end, it's just scandinavian for "Variegated" :) So basically its a Hoya Polyneura Variegata

umm okay I hope you’re planning a double upload for today because idk how long I can wait to see what you have to share!!!
the video I've been WAAIIITING for!!! Hoyas are my new addiction yaaaassss
The energy 😍 The happiness 😍 The plants 😍 The setup 😍 The cliffhanger..... 😍🤷🏼♀️
Okay I know this is a weird thing to notice and get feelings from but I absolutely love when you wear the plant shop branded t-shirts, they're the coolest shirts and it feels so laid back and like this is the whole point you're here. To talk about cool plants, you're not hamming it up for the camera, you're just being the real you
That means the world. Thank you ❤
I agree. Love Kaylee Ellen's realness. (As she would put it, it's "the tits".) I also would love to buy one of her t-shirts.
We need to buy your shirts!! Love you and your down to earthiness. Lol!
I honestly love you. It feels like I’m having a chat with my best friend who likes plants too❤️
I believe the main difference between Kentiana and Wayetii is that Wayetii will get dark margins around the leaf edge, which I think gets more prominent with brighter light. So I think the first Kentiana you showed is a Kentiana and the second looks to be a Wayetii
Omg these hoyas!!!!!!!! I'm OBSESSED. I could watch these videos all day. I want all of them! Ugh!
These babies all looked like it came from Margarita Hoya! Such stunning babies Kaylee! Lucky babe!😍
That background music is so calming.
It's because she has everything done and can now ship to the US!!!! That's my guess people! I sure hope I'm right, cause that could mean Canada is next!!!!
You’re radiating happiness in this video! Glad to hear you’re in a good mood! These hoya are gorgeous. 💚💚
"Broget" is Danish and means mottled/variegated. In Norwegian you'd pronounce the T, but I guess that in Danish it sounds more like "brough" ;) You can't be 100% sure of Hoya species until they bloom. It's really confusing and I'm no expert.
No, we can pronounce the sometimes T sometimes too. Depends on the accent and accurate pronunciation. (We mumble a lot)
😮😮😮😮 Whaaaatttt?? 🤦🤦🤦 That ending! So mean! 😭
Whatttt is going on!!!!!
Right!!!
It’s her Rare plant documentary video !
Nova ghost is a sport of argentea princess. Your hoya are stunning. Congratulations on your new plant babies!!! Love your videos!
“Nova” meaning “new” ghost. Why with the CLIFF HANGER!!!
Can’t cope with that fuckin cliffhanger 🤣
It's funny how some ppl on here lecture Kaylee on the science and botanics of all of the hoyas. But not those who kindly explain to her and us all what's what... Kaylee you need to like it again... corrected a typo... Lol 😂 such a type A thing of me to do.
Thank you. And you, you stay true to yourself, grey ghosting away in that ending 🤭 you are a badass for withstanding the online world.
Wow! So much variety just in the H. Carnosa alone. Can't wait to see if there is any variation in flowers. SO glad you're into Hoyas now! I've waited a year and half for you. lol.
Hm you are so mysterious 🤔
That ending looks so much like an anti-vape ad in the US😂
I’m glad to see you’re feeling good in this video, I hope you’re still well despite everything going on. Love your videos as always!
I can spot Hoyas from Russia from a mile away thanks to those cups. Overtime I’ve also been familiar with their handwriting 😅
Wtf now that's super suspenseful . Your so pretty when your in a great mood ☺️
Wooow that is the way to have a cliffhanger!!! I want to know!!! You look really great!
No matter what you want to share, I hope it is something that is good for you. I really hope it is something, that makes your life better and doesn’t stress you out, I really hope it isn’t something bad and the reason is great 😊 I wish you the best kaylee! Greetings from Germany ❤️
You look so much happier to be back focusing on what you love to do 💚 We love to see it 💚
I did buy the stardust from her as a dupe for the Wilber graves. I thought it was just as beautiful and I don’t need my leaves to go pink. I don’t know if my stardust has as much silver as yours. In the end it all comes down to the flowers 🌼👍
The way/kent questioned one IS GORGEOUS
Haha I am excited to see your upcoming content! It sounds like it is special to you.
Usually big news are either opening big store, starting in a new market or some personal news. Won't go that way though.
hoya leaf shapes will vary based on growing environments so the best way to differentiate is the blooms, also hoya have many similar types under the same name so it could be slightly different but considered the same
There are so many hoya types. I love them all!! Thanks for the info on all the varieties. I need more variation on my plants.

High five ✋🏻 for mentally feeling well!
I don't know why but I'm so happy that you're loving Hoya plants. Hoyas are my favorite. Great haul, thanks for sharing.
Makes me so happy to hear you're feeling better ♥️♥️you seem happier ☺️
So good to see you looking so happy! Glowing with your sparkly Hoyas 💕
So glad to see you feeling happy! You’ve definitely been through a lot lately. Love your videos!
Thank you for sharing all the plants to us. Take your time.
When will your shop open?😊
Definitely wayetii. I own a regular kentiana, and it's leaves are looooong. I've bought many "variegated kentiana", and every single one has been a wayetii so far.
Whaaaa? What a cliffhanger!!
Also its genuinely wonderful to see you really happy and doing what you very clearly love 💚
Thank you ❤
Wow! So good seeing you so positive and happy!❤
Clearly, you have something planned on the way🤔
Im excited🦋🌱
Omg did you actually end it in there is something I would like to share with you? I am like freaking out here!
That lori lynn reminds me of a mini version of stromanthe trio star lol... beautiful💗🌿
Hi there! Hoya kentiana does indeed have longer and much skinnier leaves, what you have is hoya wayetii. 💗
I'm happy that you are happy, well and feeling super positive!
omg the ending tho,
Oh gawwwwwddd... the ending has me 😰😰😭. Hope everything is okay Kaylee. We love you girl!!! 💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙
I have a hoya wayettii and thought it was a kentiana for the longest time, until it flowered. The flowers look similar, but are definitely different. Loving the video, love seeing you happy and I enjoy the “rambling”
Oh Geez! I So Agree!! A Cliff Hanger
For sure!Is their anyone willing to
Take a
Guess!!👩🌾💚
When you’re the one always asking about the aquarium video and you know that disclaimer was for you 😂
I love this Hoya video. I was schooled. I want the last video, It's beautiful.
When you feel good kaylee, we feel good 🌱👌💚
Why all the shock? This is Kaylee Ellen here! I bet she’s about to blast up the house, I’m sure of it! Go Kaylee!!
I find that most Hoyas look very similar. The difference is in the flowers
The problem with Hoyas is that identification is not easy to do and although waiting for flowers will get you closer, even that is not foolproof. Basically you are buying what someone believes are a certain Hoya but also may be wrong.

Question 1 : what to do with aroid bloom do i cut it or ......?
Question 2 : how can i get more fenestrasion on my monstera?
Love your collection 😍
Hey Kaylee! If you like Hoya kentiana and wayetii you might like the edgy look of the shepherdii
I love how cute they are and the packaging.
Lori Lyn with the variegation on the margins looks like a teeny triostar!
That ending! Sooo mysterious! Hope you are doing a special mini series.
Omg my wishlist is in pain. I am getting the hoya bug!!!!!!! Ahhhhh. Love the setup Kaylee. Keep doing you! Lots of Love.
Perhaps the outlier on this one, but this was 10 plants that 10 cultivars of 3 species. I wonder if she will get intrigued when she comes to learn how many species of hoya there are - and more all the time getting discovered.
I’m so excited for this haul because I’ve become OBSESSED with Hoya. Even had a dream last night I had three of them bloom 😅 perfect timing
Kentiana albo is my fav too. I received a kentiana variegated from Etsy a few weeks ago. It did have longer thinner leaves than yours. It sadly, did not survive so I could be not remembering right.
I did not expect to be this excited for the next vlog
😬😁
Nooo you ddnt :-O I mean ... Even Grey´s Anatomy ddnt have such a cliffhanger ...
hahah exactly!!!
First of all, what a cliffhanger. Super intregued. Second of all, I am going to pick up a variegated kentiana (among others) today and I am soooooo excited!
My understanding is that leaf shape is pretty much a non issue with hoya. It’s extremely variable even within the same plant. :)
Good lord, and I‘m back on ebay, lookin for hoyas 🙈 thanks, Kaylee 💚😄☀️🌱
POV you’re reading the comments and wondering what’s at the end
Wow. And the cliffhanger award goes to.... just cruel! 🤣
I've had one of those hoya kentiana for a year and didn't know what it was! Thank you!
Another haul. We know what that means; sharpen the pencils babes, time to lengthen the plant wish list! 💚
There’s so much variability in leaf shape/size within each species of Hoya, makes me feel like most of these new cultivars are slightly different mutations of the same plant. A genus of dupes 😝
So cool seeing you excited about Hoya!
I didn't know how beautiful Hoyas were until I watched this 😍 the Stardust is now in my list!
