Hi Kev, i recently got a bag of the chocolate brownie blend, roasted on the 14th jan and received on the 16th. Letting the beans degas but will be starting them next week
Biggest question is warranty - 1 year only and who knows how the service really is. I tied to ask them if you can have water filter attached they didn’t even understand what I meant.
I bought a Gemilai CRM 3007z about 4 months ago here in Malaysia, cost me the equivalent of £312.00….. I believe it is identical to the one being tested here except it is in stainless steel and lacks the red highlights around the control buttons. It certainly has both flow control and the OPV. I’m having great fun learning how to use it !
Howdy Kev! The MiiCoffee Apex v2 is available in Amazon US for $499.00 and on Amazon MX (I live in MX), for $9,648.31 MX ($475.86 US at current exchange rates)
Hello, I would love to see teardown, comparision with other machines and making an espresso and/or cappuccino. Thank you, Kev! Please, start shipping coffee to other countries as well.
Really was looking for this machine, hesitated taking it! But the exposed motherboard was a real turn off, I ended up going for a gaggia e24 which I will end up mødding down the road.
Its unfortunate somewhat that not everything on the Mii website is available on their Amazon store eg coffee scales. Once you factor in the high shipping rates, 20% vat and potential customs charges it an absolute no no. As Kev says only EVER consider anything if it's available through their UK store.
another week, another banger! how does the steam power compare to the sage barista pro/bambino plus? also, since there's a separate thermoblock dedicated to steam, can you brew and steam at the same time?
Thanks :-). You can't brew and steam at the same time, as they've only given it one pump. At the default max steam power on the Apex, I'd say it's roughly 10 seconds faster than the Bambino Plus / Barista Pro - off the top of my head, but I'll test that and let you know for sure. Ta.
I have this machine (Turin Legato V2) and came from a Bambino plus, and found the steaming in the Bambino plus was a slightly faster and much smoother steaming experience. Not sure why! It was the only drawback when switching to this machine. Everything else feels like a big upgrade.
On their shipping page for international shipping it says: 'The Duty & Tax and additional clearance fee are not included.' So I assume you'd get a bill from the courier, if you're not in the USA. Cheers, Kev.
@@Coffee_Kev True, just saw it. Interesting, because on the item itself, it says “tax included”. I ordered a grinder from them recently, so I’ll be able to test this.
That's a lot of stuff for the cost, but you're reviewing shifting sands... Those Chinese love to change the specs of their products. For example, my DF64V is a dishwasher.😂 (Only kidding about the last bit)
Thank you Kev for the great review! I purchased this machine a month ago and it is awesome! Very happy with its capabilities.
Well done as always Kev.
Your Sumatra coffee is fantastic 👍
Looks like a bit of squeeze for fitting scales but doable.

Do you need a Wii to use the Mii? (Great review!)

Same 1-year warranty with most machines in this price range…
Wait! you said you can't steam and brew at the same time but the gemilai g3007l that is the previous can or can't it either?

In fact gemilai is the "mother brand" that is why is the cheapest version
What do you think of that digital temp thermometer, Kev? Any good?

Does the group head heat up off the boiler ?

Looks pretty great, but who decided to put the plus and minus buttons that way on the display?? Minus on the right, plus on the left 🤔
Would you say the machine is better than Lelit Anna PID?
Can you program by time or volume?

Hey Kev, how about exporting your beans to Aus mate ??? Like your videos if I can understand em, and your money is funny mate lol

@@Haasaaronicould I ask you to specify what exactly do you feel as a big upgrade compared to Bambino Plus?
I was checking this a few weeks ago at miicoffee and I think it includes tax. So the listed price is the final, without shipping.

4:47 Espresso taste is fairly irrelevant - wisdom to me - as is machine

No, the specs don’t shift
