I am a smoker and it helps me to relieve the mucus from that. It triggers coughing and cleaning the lungs

This is a touch on the medicinal, spiritual, and neuronal properties of Holy basil. I have found these anecdotal properties to be true, especially mouth health. Inspired by these stories, I have dusted off a container of Tulsi seeds from my own garden from 2018, and have found them totally viable and growing with vigor. How many seeds do That in an open container!!!

I find it combined with rose and/or chamomile in a tea, eases pain after a long stressful day, helps with sleeping and relaxation. I prefer the effects of Tulsi to those of Lemon Balm, though both are great. Lemon Balm tends to be an aggressive invader in the herb garden. Holy Basil is not as invasive, at least in cooler climates.

Other plants I have seen mentioned in the Insulin resistance context are Panax quinquefolius, Gynostemma pentaphyllum and Pfaffia paniculata; a.k.a -American ginseng root, Jiaogulan and Suma root.

I just started studying more into herbalism and came across your videos and I love that you add planets and chakras to the plant properties and how they relate because I've been doing my own research on it before I found your video and I feel like you're right not many people add that to the herbal studies and I love that your doing that. Especially bc i also thnk it plays a big part in it as far as healing. Looking forward to learning more from your school! Thank you for the insight

Sipping some holy as I watch this. Do you recommend drying the leaves first or using them freshly picked? Also, any videos on making a tincture with holy?

Hey guys I was curious what you think of Tulsi, Temperate - Holy Basil (Ocimum africanum)? It seems like most folks grow and use this variety in the US. I have grown this and also started some seeds this year of Tulsi Rama (Ocimum sanctum). Let us know of any of the differences you have experienced please. Great video thanks

I am really enjoying this video series. I went out after this and harvested all the holy basil I was sort of ignoring, even if it was a little past time. Thank you!

Love the very well rounded approach to your teachings. This is super helpful!
I was wondering how would you describe the smell as compared to other herbs or foods? Pungent and slightly sweet for sure but when I smell this plants, its a bit transcendent to just about anything else I can think of.. reminds me of bubblegum in a way but I havent had bubblegum in ages so idk.. its certainly explosively floral but in a way that makes me think of candy.

Me too! I was just telling my husband this the other day! It's almost like a bit of Ylang-Ylang and a tiny bit of licorice. So hard to put my finger on it exactly. I just love this plant so much.

How often can you safely use Tulsi? I know it is a pretty safe herb. Is it okay to use it on a daily basis?

When you were talking about the “uplifting” effect on the nervous system, a word that came to me was nervous system refresher/revitalizer! Like when you feel refreshed and revitalized after a good nap or restful sleep :) Great episode, thank you Sajah!

your Tulsi is pungent? Mine smells like double bubble gum, the pink stuff that had a lame joke wrapper, is it even around anymore? The bees sure love it.
