Thank you Rabbi. Isnt this the reason why we have to do some spiriual bypassing to be spiritual- and keep the Torah even when it doesnt make sense to our bodies? Due to trauma and pain body disagreeing with our logic. And the Neshama the soul is in the brain- and NOT the emotions? Very interesting thing to consider. Am I correct? Its like, subduing our emotions for God to protect our body, and healing as we go. It's the actions that count so being loving even when you don’t feel it, to get to a higher place. Protecting your inner child or inner baby from imploding and exploding from all your pain, until you can prove it wrong that you were indeed loved and protected, by God even though He was not there, ALL ALONG. And no one else matters. Its like letting yourself be a narcissist, Meet your own narcissistic supplies, until you Can be there for anyone else. Setting Boundaries, recognizing that others are human too - meaning your parents- and therefore SOMEONE has to take care of you. Allow yourself to be human. Pity your parents for lacking their own self-esteem. And allow your inner child to be angry, hurt, but recognize that you are still worthy and will protect yourself, not having to give up your needs to take care of your parents anymore. Taking care of parents too much can deplete you of all your life, so let someone else do it as you heal. Stop letting the toxic guilt force you to hate yourself and have to give your own life to your parents. ...

@erinklein4933 when you have someone wise, you listen, you don't corversate. She can call a friend for a conversation. Rabbi's words are for those who have ears to listen
