This is true. Both platinum and palladium are much more rare than gold but currently both are trading just below $1,000 an ounce while gold is around $2,300 an ounce. This is a beautiful watch and I certainly understand the 1916 company exhibiting watches from all different luxury price ranges but lately this channel seems to only be catering to millionaires. The most expensive luxury watch I own cost me eight grand. Affordable Rolex watches run around 20,000. This watch is 10 times that. And lately this seems to be the only kind of watches that are shown on this channel. Ones that 95% of the viewers could never possibly afford.
If the content is too rich for you perhaps you should ask for a refund of your annual subscription to this channel. Oh, you say the channel is free, then why are you whining about the content. Random Rob, One More Watch etc seem to be more appropriate channels for your economic status. Embrace it rather than feeling sorry for yourself. Or you could just work harder.
Agreed. I actually stop watching these videos based on how likely I am to ever afford the featured watch. Conversely, I’ve watched past videos from this channel dozens of times when the featured watch was more affordable. My latest purchase was decided this way. Stop hunting only millionaires and give the rest of us something to aspire to.
@@typebflieger In your first sentence you say you stopped watching because you can't afford these watches. In the last sentence you want watches you can aspire to. Huh? And if you stopped watching unaffordable watch videos why are you here on this one making comments? All that aside why don't you just watch these videos for their informational and entertainment value. All you watch guys talk about watches as a "hobby." But that's BS. You call it a hobby in an failing attempt to ennoble what is really consumerism and that is why you whine about prices as if somehow you are entitled to have Tim market to both you and the millionaire class. So as I wrote above, there are other websites catering to your budgets if you feel the necessity that every watch presented must be within your net worth's ability to consume and leave 1916 for those of us who simply enjoy being exposed to beautiful and well presented pieces of high horology for their own sake without caring if we can afford them or not.
@@davidr2802My man you are far to bothered by the opinions of other people. Your annoyance says more about you than anything we said. What are you and Tim golf buddies? Are you his lawyer? This is not just a review channel. He is selling the items he shows. Also nobody attacked him or the 1916 company. We expressed opinions about his content. You need to relax.

I’ve always liked blued steel dial hardware and printing against a salmon dial.
