I really wanted to like the movie because I enjoy the director’s other films, but I just couldn’t. Predictable plot and cringey dialogue, felt like I was watching a Rob Zombie movie tbh.

While Dragged Across Concrete was more focused on making the characters look smart and have their own way of thinking. The dialogue makes the good guys seem like real genuine people compared to the cold hearted killers who have no emotions for their actions. The first couple scenes when Mel Gibson’s character enters the apartment and then he interacts with the officer and Vince’s character to let them know everything that he knew up until that point before he busted the door, giving the audience the feeling of knowing everything the characters knew as well. It really set the pace for the movie and I’m not really sure how this plot was predictable? The plot was given in pieces and allowed us to infer what could happen next, keeping us guessing, but then completely doing something unexpected. It’s really interesting how we have totally different views.

@@technorunner1 its pretty damn close compared to the sound of metal slamming metal separating from that almost dragon breathing fire ‘voom’ sound from each round let off, you can imagine the sound of your gunshot echoing off a parking garages walls but not over the sound of something that take and deflect those small calibers off of it which would be louder bouncing around than a suppressed handgun firing would, the initial shot yeah maybe but thats why he shot multiple times too was because the sound of the van being smacked like that would overpower his overly intimidating test shots
Depends. You can make up to .556 "Hollywood" quiet (where the only noticable sound is the action and slide), but for that you need subsonic ammo and a massive suppressor that looks like a old flashlight. Firing supersonic rounds through a suppressor is never going to make it quiet, just less likely to cause hearing damage.

@@technorunner1 its pretty damn close compared to the sound of metal slamming metal separating from that almost dragon breathing fire ‘voom’ sound from each round let off, you can imagine the sound of your gunshot echoing off a parking garages walls but not over the sound of something that take and deflect those small calibers off of it which would be louder bouncing around than a suppressed handgun firing would, the initial shot yeah maybe but thats why he shot multiple times too was because the sound of the van being smacked like that would overpower his overly intimidating test shots
Depends. You can make up to .556 "Hollywood" quiet (where the only noticable sound is the action and slide), but for that you need subsonic ammo and a massive suppressor that looks like a old flashlight.
Firing supersonic rounds through a suppressor is never going to make it quiet, just less likely to cause hearing damage.
