I work for Los Angeles school district doing Gardening and we have the Green mean machine mower. It works good but if the grass gets to high or is wet the blades stops working. What is the recommendation for charging the battery let get below 50 percent charge to have longer lifetime the Battery.
Is the blower available on the vanquish also I just looked at a 14.5 kWh vanquish that size wasn’t mentioned here is there a 22 kWh for the. Vanquish also ?
Nice but 15k just for the battery is crazy! Also I bet they're nightmares to work on WHEN something goes wrong. What about wet grass? Ik water and electricity generally do not mix well.
15k$ for the battery, that's great that you can replace a bad cell for 1k range but I've seen whole deep cycle battery failures take out all cells. For 37k$ I could just go buy a whole replacement mower 4 to 5 times over if the engine blows.
For being a "high tech" company I would think that they would know of this wonderful invention called the microphone!!!!!! If Mean Green people read these comments - a microphone is a device that enables people to hear what you are saying.
So expensive. I love the look of the stand on. It looks like a tank. 7.5 hours barely gets me past lunch though. Just doesn't work when we are mowing 12 to 13 hours a day.
probably each individual electric motor on one of these will cost more than a gas engine. these are pretty cool, but really not cost efficient. i know you will be saving on fuel and maintenance but i really doubt you will ever cover the premium price. maybe when gas hits 10 bucks a gallon. thats a real possibility with what we have running our country right now.
In Alaska we use 50hp electric motors on out crab boat decks to power refrigeration systems… they are constantly getting salt water waves crashing over them, yet they are virtually water proof… Water proofing is nothing new…
Dr equipment made knock offs of the mean green smaller ztr nemesis mower. It’s only $7500 for the 60” and batteries are $1500 and will hold 3 packs. 12k is much more in the ball park. Great alternative to 35k

@@jordanharetuku9044 it was one of the the gearbox broke. Apparently they had problems with them and someone seated it wrong and replaced it as fast as they could. Working great needs wheels bar to keep from tipping over. But cuts slower than my Exmark diesel.

Yeah you can get a whole fleet for that! The technology still just isn't there yet where the prices can be competitive.

Your not mowing 12 to 13 hrs a day. Are you counting how long your day is? Or are you actually cutting cutting time? Big difference.
@Scott I start mowing at 7 am. I get home at 9pm. Other than drive time we are mowing.

They are of similar price in AU. Be interesting to see maintenance costs over their life.....and cut comparisons in longer grass....
The total cost to own is what you pay. The sticker is just what you walk out the door with. This is cheaper over the course of its life.
