The nude is actually a good tone for darker skin. When you added the vamp as a liner it looked great. Give yourself some more credit bc the more you blended the better it looked.
I agree! Rose petals came to mind, after she added the vamp. She really should give herself more credit, she is so talented, with a very good eye for beauty!
@@winnieford4063I have never been a fan of these, so called, "nude" lip colors, anyway, because of the way the lips either stand out, far too much, against a dark complexion, or they make the lips completely disappear, on pale complexions. In my opinion, nude lip colors just look freakish, on everyone, when used alone, with no other lip color. I actually like the look better on dark skin tones, if it is used judiciously, with a darker, complimentary lip color, as in this video, and the effect is lovely, in my opinion. I don't feel that it works as a general look, that works with just anything, but more for outfits that would utilize that specific color pallette.
I'm so glad that you did this! I'm so white that I glow in the dark, and my best friend is a loud, proud Haitian woman. She has only started getting into makeup in the past couple of years, and frequently asks me for makeup recommendations. Given the differences in our skin color, and the massive variance of product line pigmentation, I don't ever know what to tell her. Now, I have at least one product line that I can tell her to look into, and that makes me happy.
Thank you for mentioning that lipstick is a luxury item, and that deeming something “in-budget” or “acceptably-priced” is not a universal determination. Each potential customer has a unique financial situation, and while remitting $29 for a lipstick might be “affordable” to one person, it is going to be “far out of budget” for someone else (and a million other determinations). Thank you for being realistic and down-to-earth about makeup spending!
Thank you! ✨ I definitely think for a full face $29 might be too much for one product. I haven’t worn a full face of makeup in so long I really don’t know how to price cosmetics it’s been almost 7 or 8 years.
Wow! The last two suited you so much! Only you could put just lipstick with no other makeup and look that stunning! Your personality really showed with the last two ❤
This is such a fun video! I don’t usually wear makeup either but a matte red lipstick is my favorite! Cream eyeshadow, light mascara, blush, and red lipstick and thats about it. Gonna checkout these products, thank you!
Thank you so much!!! I feel like a full face requires more dedication and money that I’m not willing to invest. Plus I’m the summer it pretty much melts off
Wearing lipstick alone looks so natural and compliments you so well, If I wore just lipstick I would look insane!😂 also, I thought the first color looked nice on you!! I’m glad you remembered to not be so hard on yourself with makeup skills, it really is a skill!! When I first started wearing colorful makeup to recently, my makeup looks so much better! It took me quite a while to realize less is more-my contour was looking quite questionable for more years than I’d like to admit!
The box really is super cute and well-designed! That you've already worn Baddie so much prior to this video has me seriously considering getting this set, there's no better way to advocate for it lol. Thanks for the helpful review!
Thanks! I was kinda annoyed with myself for not doing an unboxing but I’ve been wearing these lipsticks for two weeks and I’m glad I waited so I could make an honest review, and so I could see if I naturally reach for the product, and I do. I’m still so impressed because nothing shares the space with my lip whips
@@SewRena Sometimes, unboxings are overrated, for this very reason. They are fun, but knowing how the products perform, is even better. Of course, you could always do a quick unboxing, when you get them, then come back to them later, but, really, that's just "gilding the lily." Whatever makes you happy, 'cause I'm just along for the ride! 🌹💄👄🏩👗🛍👠
Vintage Nude _by itself_ , I agree didn't quite work for you, but at 5:40, with what you'd done with Nude+Vamp? You positively started to glow. Looks marvelous. Clever of you to think of using a dark lipstick as a liner. I don't know that it ever would have crossed my mind.
Now those are the vintage colors I remember back then they didn't have to many good shades for women of color until Ebony and Naomi Sims came out with their line the tubes are really beautiful I am a lipstick wearer I use to wear blush also you just took me back in time thanks for sharing your journey ❤️
@@SewRena i have a few vintage compacts that are beautiful and very well made of real metal. One of them even has a brocade snap front case. Wish they made things like that now, I would absolutely pay more money for items like that.
Blending on the first colour was nice , adding deeper colour worked.. the blue Red “Baddie” is a nice evening color as it will stand out a bit more, the last colour is very flattering, great for day and night very sophisticated on you! Thanks for sharing.. Being that you don’t ware face products I feel you have a good handle on lip colour ; when one is wearing full on face colour, foundations, rouge, eyes.. you have a bit more ability to use colours.. In your case, I think what you choose is very flattering, and you have beautiful skin.. less is more, it’s all in how you carry yourself, dress/cheerful character that makes you shine bright! I’m light olive coloured, and 62, I’ve had to change to softer colours .. Oh beauty making up! 😄….. it’s so much fun!
It sounds like such an interesting formula! I like a bullet lipstick look, but like you, I do like a liquid lip that doesnt move, so this seems like the best of both worlds.
I enjoyed this. The last two were my favorite on you although I actually thought you looked great in all of them. I've worn Revlon lipstick for many years. They come in different finishes; some are more sheer than others. I think Dafna's lipsticks are competitively priced for a luxury brand.
Very nice. The last two were the best. Surprised you have not talked about Besame. Theirs are very matt. In the summer I choose their sheerer lip colors. But hey, if you like what you have, great.
Im so color confused right now. I was most excited about the vamp color, because it looked super dark in the pictures (and online, and in in the reviews with their pictures) but when you held it up it looked sparkly pink and even lighter when you put it on :( I may order it and give it a try, but i too am a beauty bakerie lover! That cranberry stilleto is a fabulous color and its the first transfer proof lipstick that doesnt dry my lips out. Also, not sure whats going on with youtube. Been around since before you hit 1,000 subs, and always got notifications, but now i dont get notified as much. You might have others having same issue, so if you find views are down it could be youtube. Have a beautiful day!
may I suggest you create a separate playlist for your appliance videos? I wanted to show someone the gadgets on your vintage stove but I can't find the video.
Vintage baddie is so gorgeous on you ❤
Beautiful woman with or without makeup ❤

Nude is a no no to me for women of color but that's just me being a woman of color it doesn't go on my skin tone

That pale shade was all the rage when I was in 9th grade (like, 1965 lol)
Vintage vamp is a very fun nude on your skin tone. Semi-invisible nudes are really fun to wear
They are all beautiful but the red really takes the cake!!

I thought those colors looked lovely on you. That nude was super cute on you as well, all u needed was a winged eye and you would slay it, girl.
Thank you so much 💕💕

So glad you found some matte lipsticks! So much better than the Revlon. Vintage Batty and Vintage Vamp are both gorgeous on you!
Pretty, I even like first one after you lined it.
I’m not even a big fan of old or vintage things, but I love your channel and videos. You look so beautiful with the vintage lifestyle and surroundings

Your beauty would be diluted by adding a lot of makeup -- you're truly authentically stunning.

You were rocking that orange red one! Especially with certain autumn or orange tone clothing.
Thank you! That’s actually a great idea especially since I trade in my yellows for orange in the fall!

The last two colors are absolutely lovely on you.
The packaging reminds me of my grandmothers vanity! These are on point!!
Thank You! That was fun, and the last two lipsticks looked really good on you!🥰💯☺
Loving the elegant packaging.
Yes so much care and thought was put into the product and it shows.

I actually like the first one with the darker color as a liner! You need to wear that with a pink outfit.
Vamp is GORGEOUS on you!! And I also loved it with the nude as an ombré effect!

I found in my mother in laws goods a 1940's lipstick. That thing was so heavy! I was shocked,
people use to apply lipstick mostly with lipstick brushes back in the 50s, marilyn swore by it!
I think the last 3 looked good on you. The orange-red looks good. I would try them with a chocolate brown lip liner.

Love how pigmented these are! Also the mod look is so fun
Those last two look so cute on you.
Wow! The combo you picked, nudie and vamp, was exactly what I wanted to try! It’s a beautiful color combo
I like the Starlet on you -- on my screen you have enough peach in your cheeks to carry it off. But the last two are really fantastic.
Thank you 🥰🥰
The last one looks natural on you. I love it!!
I love the vintage Baddie and vintage vamp. Just beautiful
Thanks for the demo. Hard to get lipstick to stay. Never tried stay all day lipstick but I will.
Very nice. The last two were the best. Surprised you have not talked about Besame. Theirs are very matt. In the summer I choose their sheerer lip colors. But hey, if you like what you have, great.

Awesome try-on video!!!
You look absolutely gorgeous!!
Thank you 🥰🥰
I like the last two they are beautiful on you, you have a beautiful smile, thanks for sharing, Ps. What about cooking recipes vintage style 😊
I agree. The last two look the best. Iris Aarons
Great job, I learned a lot!
Can you do a video on vintage black girl makeup?
❤ o mais bonito é o vermelho laranja
may I suggest you create a separate playlist for your appliance videos? I wanted to show someone the gadgets on your vintage stove but I can't find the video.
Nice wish I would've gotten the notification for this. Guess youtubes being lazy today lol
That’s so odd! Thanks for watching anyway. 💕 I hope you are having a wonderful weekend
You are beautiful with or without lipstick.
Thank you so much! 🥹
Why not line with the brush?
💜💜💜💜
❤
I like the red lipstick. I don’t think it’s too orange
❤❤💯💯✅✅
🌅❤️👍💐
Actually I liked the pale NATURAL COLOR on you. BECAUSE, you have beautiful skin and pigmentation, that works well with all shades.
This look so beautiful on u I will be buying especially If u approve it .
