Awesome tribute, I loved Gene Simmons story about introducing his son to Jeff and his son just turning into a blubbering mess, and Gene admitted that happened to everyone, even the big rock stars.
Everyone knocks the Noiseless Strat pickups, but they have their own vibe, and each new generation has been getting better and better. Are they 57/62s, not quite, but they don’t have to be.
Jeff Didn't use them.
When Seymore Duncan was in his early 20’s he was rebuilding the black Les Paul on the jeff Beck solo album cover. It made me pee my pants when he said,”You want to play it?”
“Hell Yes”.
Seymore plugged me into some ancient tube amp behind the counter. It was a wonderful, surreal thing.

Been listening to Jeff Beck for over 40 years now, since just before high school. Seen him at least a half dozen times. He never disappoints. Learned so much over the decades listening to him while figuring out his licks. Was always my favorite guitarist. He will be missed greatly. Rest in peace Jeff.

I was about to go to sleep here in France, but my sleep will be even better as I heard what I was waiting for
The Jeff Beck model also has a special nut with ball bearings in it to prevent the strings from hanging up and knocking you out of tune when using the vibrato arm.
The reverse head stock also shortened the E and B strings, making them easier to bend and vibrato . . . also, you got to keep a bag of those tremolo arm springs in your gig bag to keep the arm from flopping around. So few think of installing them as they get lost almost every time you unscrew the arm.

While using the whammy bar unlike anyone in history, he would use the volume button. He said he had to play all the time to maintain his technique. What are the odds that Beck, Page, Clapton, would be the same age and grow up in the same area. Nice job Michael. Nobody can imitate Beck, but you honored him beautifully.
Jeff Beck will be looking on from above with a smile from ear to ear.

Saturday September 9th 2006 I saw Jeff at the House of Blues Myrtle Beach South Carolina. I left the venue stunned at how great he and his band were. Last encore song "Over the Rainbow". Just Jeff onstage with his Stratocaster. As people were leaving after the show ended many people including myself had tears in their eyes. I will never forget that moment as long as I live.

Beautiful version of “People Get Ready.” Lemmo. I first saw Jeff live in 1967 when he had Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood and Mickey Waller in his band. It was an unforgettable experience which I’ve never forgotten.
I have a '15 or '16 Jeff Beck Signature Strat that has been my main axe since '16. I wasn't necessarily looking for a signature model, it just happened to have everything I wanted: Locking tuners, roller nut, rosewood neck. I floated that bridge, and what an incredible instrument. My only quibble is that the bridge/neck combo doesn't sound quite as "quacky" as I would like. But every sound it does make is awesome! I've been following him since I began playing guitar in the early 70's. RIP to the master. I'm proud as hell that your signature is on my guitar.
that was the same with me when i got the Kirk Douglas SG. never really wanted a signature, but the spec's were so good it made sense
Jeff Beck has influenced me more than any other guitarist. I heard Blow by Blow and said "Huh?!! Wow- I don't just have to just play standard blues influenced rock anymore. Possibilities do indeed exist." Beck sent me to John McLaughlin, Al di Meola and other jazz and fusion players. Beck played the guitar the way vocalists sing- I could compliment the man for hours. My playing is like some really terrible imitation of him- but he still makes me wanna play. JB was the Guv'nor- there will never be another guitarist like him.

Nice Playing Michael! It still is so weird that Jeff Beck is gone, he seemed immortal and also in good health because he was just on tour with Johnny Depp this past year and looked great! The world lost a lot of talent and it is great that Jeff Beck influenced so many guitarists and he will never be forgot. Sad time! Thank you Michael, Norm and Jen but RIP Jeff Beck , you were one of a kind!

My favorite guitar player of all times ! A lot of guitar players can be copied but Jeff ... nah man no one will ever be able to do that ! Jeff was a one of a kind guitar player ! So so sorry to hear of his passing. His music will live on forever !
That was a beautiful 🌈🎸 tribute-made me 😢. I was a child when I bought the first Yardbirds album and started learning about British music and particularly the blues musicians. Jeff was one of the greatest of all time and so many of us will miss him. RIP 🪦 Jeff. You were supreme.

I have an almost mint 2007 Olympic white that I purchased new. They are the prefect vehicle for all manner of styles, Jeff's specs were spot-on.

I agree. No guitarist alive can imitate Beck, but Michael honored his memory. Beck’s death still upsets me. Clapton talked about going to the hospital and seeing Beck hooked up to machines, more dead than alive was shocking anddevastating to him. Beck was very careful about his health. A vegetarian, who exercised and to be cut down by a freak disease, shows how fragile and precious life is. There is going to be a concert at Royal Albert Hall in May to Honor Jeff Beck.
@@rickjason215 When I saw him last year in Austin, Texas, I felt his body has weakened! I tried so hard to get to that concert, I had no car! But I did finally! That was the best concert of my life! I came from Metal genre, that concert completely transferred me to art; now I can see the difference between art and mainstream guitar players. Of course, I used to listen to Jeff Beck before seeing his performance, but that concert showed me the difference between a concert where the artist wants you to listen to music vs someone who doesn't care and plays noise! Another person who remained me that again in 2023 was Dereck Truck with his wife Tedeschi Trucks! what a great people and music they lifted me to a new dimension in music again! All of these great artists share something that is not measurable! great great souls!

Very nice homage! Jeff wasn't one of the best, he was the very best!!! Losing him so suddenly is beyond tragic! It is heartbreaking and soul crushing! My older brother turned me onto him when I was ten in 1965. He has been and always will be my greatest inspiration for all time. This is like losing your very best friend who is also a brother. I can't imagine recovering from this deeply wounding loss. Endless love to Jeff!
Micheal you did great with your tribute to a great guitarist , Jimi Hendrix is often imitated and he was a guitarist before his time . But Jeff Beck will be hard to copy due to his control over his guitar. Some of your playing brought a tear to my eyes, I am 60 and as a young person I grew up with these legends and now one by one they are disappearing. But at least we have their music ! It shows also we all have a limited time here and we all should be grateful for what we have because we’ll never know when that day will arrive. Please treat all with respect and with humanity , Peace and love .

Is it not 'Surf' Green? I have one. To my knowledge, Fender have never produced a 'Sea Foam' Green JB Strat as a production model. The Custom shop may have but its current JB model is in Olympic White - which Jeff typically played. Nice tribute though

Nice tribute. Michael, great playing as always. Impossible to for any of us to play like Jeff Beck. He was pure magic. Saw him 7-8 times. Twice from 2nd row center. He played impossible guitar licks.

One of my all time favorites. Saw him live 3 x including November 8th 2022 in Anaheim
