  • Manufacturing motorcycle exhaust link pipes and pipework - Made in the UK - Genuine British Products.
    Here at Fuel Exhausts, we’re very proud indeed to be true British manufacturers and we certainly show this in the quality of our workmanship. We’ve said it before and we’ll keep on saying it - Fuel Exhausts are British. All our raw materials and components come exclusively from British suppliers, and the exhausts are built from scratch in our British factory. And because we know where it all comes from, and the entire manufacturing process from start to finish is carried out here in our own factory by our own engineers, we’re able to put our money where our mouth is and give all our aftermarket motorcycle exhausts a rock solid lifetime guarantee.
    That’s proper British manufacturing. Built to perform and built to last. And definitely not to be confused with some other aftermarket exhaust manufacturers in the UK who falsely promote their exhausts as being British made, when in fact they’re sourced and assembled overseas, imported, and shipped out to customers without so much as a screwdriver being involved.
    We thought it would be interesting for you to see us in action and over the upcoming months, we will upload videos showing the different jobs we undertake when making an aftermarket exhaust. This video shows how we manufacture the link pipes and pipework for the exhaust silencers. We use 304 grade stainless steel tube for our link pipes and have included the process in a short video from raw stock material through to a finished link pipe ready for media blasting.
    We work the traditional way here using mostly good old reliable machines and tooling. Our pipe bender is a manually operated hydraulic mandrel tube bender which is over 30 years old. We do have some modern machinery and when you watch the video you will see some of those machines in action.

    what blade are you using on that saw ? as my one goes blunt vairly quick lets say after 100 cuts ? maybe 70 ?

    • @FuelExhaustsLtd
      @FuelExhaustsLtd  3 роки тому +2

      @LessMoreLG we use a 2mm high speed steel blade with approximately 300 teeth. We get them recut / reground regularly. We usually get well over 1000 cuts before the blade needs resharpening. You can only use these blades on stainless steel as if you use them on mild steel it will blunt them straightaway, so remember to change the blade if you do any cuts on mild steel. Obviously we use a good quality coolant and the saw is a very slow cutting speed. Hope this helps. :-)

    Hi guys, about to purchase an Arrow GP end can and the link pipe diameter is too small to fit over the mid section pipe it will need to fit onto. Would you be able to expand the link pipe a few millimetres for me? I could prob mail it into you guys with precise measurements. Is this doable?
    Where exactly are you based? I'm in south Wales. Thankyou.

      @taff 69 we are based in Kendal, Cumbria however our machine is constantly set for large batch runs of our own products so we do not offer a resizing service for other brand parts, sorry.

      @@FuelExhaustsLtd thanks for the reply. Went and purchased a GRmoto can and link pipe. Everything is good apart from the fact I need a little expansion on the end of the link pipe that's going to connect to the header pipe. Can you point me in the right direction where I might get a job like this done? I think ide need an expansion of 2 to 3mm is this possible with a similar thickness to the pipes you guys are using as link pipes? Thanks. 👍🏼

      @@taff6987 any aftermarket exhaust manufacturer that makes their own product is likely to have one of these machines in house. Why not get in touch with GRmoto as it is their exhaust? They should be able to answer your queries as they should know their own product. :-)

      @@FuelExhaustsLtd saying that do you guys make a carbon go slash end style end can or can you make me one of these. The GRmoto on is going back as its "carbon look" and not real carbon. I ain't spending the money over spent on my build then cutting corners with a carbon LOOK exhaust. I initially got drawn to that exhaust because of the sound it produced if I'm being honest. Hoping you may have an option for me! Thankyou for replying to my comment!👍🏼
