A lot of people fail to mention that these caddys are very reliable. I owned a Navigator and even though i loved the truck, it was trash. Engine failed at 90k miles. My 09 Escalade has 120k miles with no problems. I'll stick with Cadillac!!
It’s CRAZY I thought about that literally today “Damn this gen Escalade / Tahoe / Yukon is already 7 years old (damn near 10 years old) ALREADY. Time waits for NOBODY
I don't care! I love big SUVs. I have a 05 Escalade I gave to my brother and his family bcuz they needed a car. 😭. That is one reliable SUV. This Caddy is my dream SUV. The 2015. I will be getting one soon. 🙏🏽
this is a true 100% luxury SUV unlike the Lincoln navigator which is not even in the same league more comparable to a Yukon (with no options) or Tahoe, well done Cadillac.
I respectfully disagree. The linclon navigator is actually relataively affordable compared to the escalade, for starters. It doesnt have a hideous rear end with huge retro tail lights, and i do not know for sure, but i would put money on the fact that the navigator gets better gas mileage. However, i would argue that the escalade has much more prefferable colors, mostly for the interior, the color in this video is nice, however, another thing i don't like about the escalade is its far to expensive for most buyers, besides wealthy families or the retired. However, if a person was retired and had a clean $90,000 to soend on a car, wouldnt they get something smaller such as the new 2015 jeep grand cherokee summit, which is, in my opinion, about as nice as the rangerover, and another good thing with chrysler products is that the uconnect is the industry's leading touchscreen system.. By the way, i am 13, so excuse me if I got something wrong :)
I personally think the navigator oozes restrained, understated elegance, but that's just me. I actually prefer that over the flashy escalade, but that's strictly opinion. I will say the escalade is overall a more polished and well rounded product, but the navigator being $10-20,000 cheaper is hard to look past.
Well in case you guys weren't informed, the Escalade has an 8-speed transmission while the Navigator, has a 6-speed transmission. The Escalade/Yukon also have cylinder-deactivation, which can turn the v8 into a 4-cylinder engine at highway speeds. So if the Navigator was equipped with these options, I could assure you that it would achieve better gas mileage.
definitely a nice truck. gaudy but thats part of its charm. 2 things though: of course the price, 90k is a bit high for a cadillac IMO. also, always amazes me how space inefficient GM suv's are
I think that's because everything is bigger and takes a lot more space, like the seats or doors. But these extra space occupied would sometimes bring you more comfort. e.g. Chevy equinox 2018 VS Honda CRV 2017+, Chevy's back seats win the comfort at the price of offering less space with a longer overall length and larger weight (which translates into significantly less space efficiency). But that's worth it in my opinion.
Great review, Hope GM is watching I have a 2007 with lots of issues, looking to upgrade to the newer escalade cant wait to get my paws on it.. Thank you
New designed Escalade is already a good looking car among all american brands. However, I prefer add 10k more then go for the Range Rover or Porsche Cayenne. Those are the truly definition of "LUXURY".
Nothing against the vehicle but every person I see who drives one has personalized plates and needs to be recognized. A self-help book may be a better investment.
Hey you should also do the 2015 Chevy SS. You're a pure enthusiast, GM Gave us Magnetic Ride Control, and the Manual Transmission for 2015. I haven't tested it yet, Im dying to see how that combo works.
Already!! I knew they was going to boot it sooner or later. I mean its a replica. Thats all its good for. Its a sombitch of a car don't get me wrong. But GM Just wanted to go that Replica\Bring Back the Dead theme and I knew it wasn't going to age very well because their theme and attitude about it was just dead. If your going to replicate a car do it right. GM don't give a damn about the SS. It had some good potential in my opinion. They had some good opportunities to explore. But GM doesn't have the sense to. It's a Good Sleeper. Could've posed a good threat to the Dodge Charger Lineups. But ow well. I'd still love to hear Sofyan's opinion about it tho.
omarrianowilson9 There's also no advertising or marketing for the SS whatsoever. It's no surprise it isn't selling well. Although I don't think it was ever intended to sell in high numbers.
I agree. Unfortunately its just a wasted project, and wasted money that chevy invested. That was a project that they could've did something with. But I think they just built it to sell it to the people that miss the G8 thats no way to invest in a project. Ford does the Mustang to replicate the old ones. Chrysler builds Chargers Challengers and Darts to replicate the old ones. But they are projects that Chrysler is smart enough to invest in. Chevy did a one hit wonder. And the SS couldve gave the Charger some serious competition. Introduce some subtrim v6 models to it. Give it the V6 from the high end Impala. On the performance model give it the V8 out of the Vet. Put AWD on the V6 models and Chrysler has some problems. But of course GM isn't that smart!
The navigation system can be dangerous. It will not permit the PASSENGER to enter an address while the vehicle is in motion. This requires additional, and unnecessary maneuvering on the part of the driver to get the vehicle stopped and then back underway again. Voice command does exist, however it is unreliable. You would be better off to get the vehicle without the built-in navigation and buy a separate navigation system that will allow the passenger to enter an address while in motion.
+KrellLab What luxury car doesn't have nav? Cadillac voice commands work - just don't talk over the beep. Some function will not work during driving, for safety reasons.
+Sheila LaShay Many other cars have navigation that does NOT disable the PASSENGER from using the system while vehicle is in motion. What Cadillac is doing is dangerous. Cadillac requires additional, and unnecessary maneuvering on the part of the driver to get the vehicle stopped and then back underway again.
KrellLab What I'm saying was if you stay on the CUE to long while driving a warning message appears on the screen. The nav is not disabled and there's an option for voice commands located on the left side of the steering wheel. A message appears reminding the driver to keep his/her eyes on the road. Now what's wrong with that?. There are many safety options on cars today and it depends on the trim and price.
Honda does the same. Personally I'd say fuck the factory nav and just opt for Android Auto and Apple Car Play. On Hondas the factory nav is a higher priced option compared to Android and Apple. Its a midrange option on the new Civic while the factory nav is only available on the highest trim level. Factory systems are dying out thankfully
***** Oh goodness, please let's not give any ideas of separating a video into parts like TFLCar/Truck does just a waste of time, just make it a bit longer or hit the most interesting points. There are always going to be the shorter reviews out there for each vehicle - Driven Car Reviews, decent dealers, and the up-and-coming reviewers. Anyway, something needs to change is all I'm trying to critique Sofyan on. Great job on the clips and showing the detail of the truck. ;)
With the overall ownership experience I had with 2 previous 07 and 09 Escalades, I'd probably go with a GL instead. I really liked the 09 Escalade, it was a Platinum, it just had this certain easy-going charm about it and it drove smaller than it actually was. That said, both the 07 and the 09 were full of problems and fell apart after 40k miles. The short wheelbase with 22" wheels rides quite choppy as well. Transmits quite a lot of harshness to the cabin and with the way the interiors were put together, made it quite shuddery and rattly. It handled great though with a nice light steering feel and awesome road presence. But I feel like that charm is gone on the new ones, they're too bulky and square.
I had 3 3rd gen and one 2nd gen and 1 4th gen AND IVE HAD NO PROBLEMS one reached 150kmi no problems other one 215k mi. 1 problem oil pressure sensor and it was an easy inexpensive fix
Just looks like more stuff to break, and knowing GM's quality as of late it'll all break sooner than it should. Its all cool, but what happens when the backlight burns out on the lcd gauges, or the display burns out all together? What happens when the touch sensitive buttons wear out, and you get into a car accident trying to change the AC, or when the motor on that cubbyhole door dies? Its all cool tech but it all has a limited life span which is far more limited compared to just having real buttons and knobs.
!!!!! They don’t hear you though. Better of if really want one to get the previous generation. Cool and all like you said but that luxury maintenance is CRAZY. I have a Cadillac. I know. Had a $6,400 maintenance bill 3/4 months ago.
I'm having a hard time finding the price on that Cadillac can you please send me that information I'm not sure if you got the kilometers down if you let me know please thank you
The Escalade would be a good choice for the next couple years but once new versions of the GL, LX570, QX80 and Navigator arrive it will quickly be outdated. I still don't see why GM sticks with the live axle considering how negatively it impacts interior space. This would be a good stop gap until better vehicles arrive.
A company I used to work for actually makes the headlamps & tail-lamps for the 2015 Escalade. Love the look, but from what I heard they were not fun to assemble.
Did anybody notice how instead of saying "Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon," he said "Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Seirra?" The Seirra is the pickup. The Yukon is the Escalade's twin.
Quite details review. Without lane change steering adjuster?! :( I think Cadillac need to add that into this price range SUV. Rough on wood trims :( but I love the headlights, LED side markers and tail lights. 👍🏼👍🏼 We expect Cadillac to be ultra luxury and perfection.
It is funny how cadillac already updated the 2015 Escalade by changing the grill and 8 speed when the early 2015 grill emblem was bigger and a 6 speed.
I think it's a nice SUV, but I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think that $90k is too much for this truck. In fact, I think GM's new full-size SUVs are $10-15,000 overpriced. However, I do think they are nice trucks this go around and I also realize you can get some pretty deep dealer discounts on them.
Very good review. I've been asking this in the discussion area of your channel, I am writing it here again. Can you please do a review of Dodge Durango 2015 5.7L V8, and Nissan Patrol 2015 5.6L V8?? Thanks Regards//
Not true. The first roll out in 2015 had the wreath and a 6 speed transmission. The second half of 2015-2017 doesn’t have the wreath and is an 8 speed. 2018 went to a 10 speed.
I think most grown men would have no problem driving something like that it's they already have a truck or any type of full size issue V and any woman with kids most likely drives a larger vehicle so cool so maybe you and other guys like you don't have kids and aren't worried about it but someone like me that's not an issue and it's a perfect size
Nice vehicle, but the downside about these big SUVs like the Escalade, Chevy Suburban, Chevy Tahoe, Lincoln Navigator, etc., is that they're a bitch to park.
damn, it finally went the smart car route. Welp, when it has a builting wireless charger, you know this car is full cutesy with no power. Hell, how many breakdowns before you realize it's best usage is driving to the supermarket and back? Not worth the money.
80-90k Escalade and they still use the gear selector that sticks out of the steering column that feels like your gripping on something serious. They should move towards an alternative like the competitors. Although, I loveeee the escalades and had the 12 premium with the incorporated exhaust, different led tailights, power running boards and platinum wheels for 9 months.
There's not many vehicles left in the luxury segment that are Prestige, Powerful, Luxurious? The Land Rover Range Rover is the most powerful, most capable, most luxurious, most prestiges vehicle on this planet.
Gaming 4 Ohio Road to 1,000 Subscribers sure just to bad its not a truck based SUV, thats what we want TRUCK style SUV's just have a driving sensation unlike any other and a truck based luxury SUV offers much more stable / safe towing capabilities. plus this is pure art and pure sexyness compared to the range rover.
You've obviously never driven a Land Rover in your life if your even comparing this turd to one and Pure sexiness hahahaha a Polished Suburban smh you know nothing about cars my friend
As far as the new Escalade has come , and even its stable mates, I would never buy a GM SUV (if i could afford one) just because they are dated. They use a pushrod engine design and still use a hella dated solid rear axle. And on top of that you are paying for the name as you go up in GM products, even when comparing Chevrolet and GMC products. What I find hard to justify the GM SUVs is their solid rear axles, Ford converted to an Independent Rear Suspension way back in 2003, and the newer Expedition and Navigator now, 2015 model year, have amazing suspensions the are years ahead of GM's. I do see the 8-speed as a plus. Overall, I'd save my money for Ford's Expedition 2017 redesign, a vehicle that is actually innovated.
A lot of people fail to mention that these caddys are very reliable. I owned a Navigator and even though i loved the truck, it was trash. Engine failed at 90k miles. My 09 Escalade has 120k miles with no problems. I'll stick with Cadillac!!
Really? Do you follow consumer reports? They say that this truck is one of the most unreliable.
Consumer Reports rates it that way because of the CUE Infotainment system. The engine and transmission are extremely reliable!
Alex Pascutiu consumer reports hasnt owned the vehicle for 4 years like i have.
I was replying to 24/7 Gaming. I agree with you, it's a very reliable truck. I'm a huge fan of this chassis!
***** yeah I know. Escalades are awesome. If they were better on gas mileage they would be perfect.
The car is almost 10 years old and it’s incredible how far we’ve come with car features and quality
It’s CRAZY I thought about that literally today “Damn this gen Escalade / Tahoe / Yukon is already 7 years old (damn near 10 years old) ALREADY. Time waits for NOBODY

Very big vehicle, house on wheels. Very comfortable especially when someone else is driving.

Michael Sylvester II the escalade gets the same gas mileage with more horsepower and torque, and since when is a jeep as nice as a range rover
Well in case you guys weren't informed, the Escalade has an 8-speed transmission while the Navigator, has a 6-speed transmission. Aleem Mims such a lame argument, then give the Escalade two turbos and multi valve design... such a idiotic argument.
They should put the CTS-V engine in this.
Now, they did .
I came to say the same lol @@MrTblackmon

Cadillac does build a 100K CTS
Great review, Hope GM is watching I have a 2007 with lots of issues, looking to upgrade to the newer escalade cant wait to get my paws on it.. Thank you
Going on 4 years and the Escalade is still good looking!!! I can’t believe all new generation of the Escalade is 1 year away from coming!
The new one is ugly. The inside though. Leagues better.

Looks So good might get that one for sure
Mighty , safety and spacious . Best of all time .
Great in-depth review
didn't the 2015 model had the previous cadillac wreath and midway through it's model year they just change it?
dennisscipio Yes it did, my version is the earlier one with that symbol.
can you please review the expedition platinum?
see these everyday where i live at such an amazing vehicle
I getting one
I think they did a good job! No complaints, nice suv.
This guy is a really good presenter.
what are the four packages again
and does this package automatically come with the tv screen? and 4x4
Which car do you recommend to buy. A previous gen or this gen.

This thing still looks fresh even with the new Escalade and the brand new IQ
Cadillac will keep the Escalade as long as there is a Real Housewives of where the hell ever
These more recent reviews are sounding a bit rushed and as a result we have understore florage + Sierra Brown, ain't it Kona Brown?
TJ HAMMERSLAND "Understore floorage". Sofyan, my man, slow your roll a bit! :)

Thanks for flying Southwest!!
Cool intro song. Thumbs up for that!
I like the truck feel, it’s safer, and it’s nice!
They're So Bad for the Environment Yet So Comfortable XD

Id never spend nothing near that price tag! Especially since its an American automobile, Id rather go with Land rover & Mercedes & Bmw.
Should I get this or Denali yukon or the g class55
I see why Lincoln had to really step it up. The 2015 Lincoln was basically trash compared to this. I'm a Lincoln fan too!
White is it's worse color. It is a linebacker in a Hugo Boss suit.
Black is it's best color
Would getting the larger version mean more of room in the back
I'm having a hard time finding the price on that Cadillac can you please send me that information I'm not sure if you got the kilometers down if you let me know please thank you
Which competition has inside space?
Where did you shoot this? It looks familiar...
ThatGearHead he said DC
The all-new 2018 Lincoln Navigator will smoke this thing.
Symbolic AcclaimedTM i like how you say this when your profile picture is an escalade
But the 2021, damn they stepped their game up.
Will you guys review an ESV?
15:25
"...especially on the crappy DC roads" Haha sounds like you haven't driven in MI.
UA-cam knows I'm poor. 2021 videos, can't afford it. Sends me here.
The Escalade would be a good choice for the next couple years but once new versions of the GL, LX570, QX80 and Navigator arrive it will quickly be outdated. No one wtf
I hope u review the navigator and expedition!
Did anybody notice how instead of saying "Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon," he said "Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Seirra?" The Seirra is the pickup. The Yukon is the Escalade's twin.
I don't mind the interior, apart from those black plastic switches, spew ;o)
Quite details review. Without lane change steering adjuster?! :( I think Cadillac need to add that into this price range SUV. Rough on wood trims :( but I love the headlights, LED side markers and tail lights. 👍🏼👍🏼
We expect Cadillac to be ultra luxury and perfection.
Fantastic review excellent job
Its the same exact thing as the DENALI. Nothing changes.
The emblem changes.
It's better looking but that's about it
has anyone had termite issues in the caddy with the real wood?
It is funny how cadillac already updated the 2015 Escalade by changing the grill and 8 speed when the early 2015 grill emblem was bigger and a 6 speed.
you should do a review on the MKS
Sucks he never does reviews in the nissan armada or the toyota seqouia.
Yes he did
It's price is kinda high..we r looking at a Chevy Tahoe with a Cadillac logo on it which cost more or less 80 grand
Buy the GMC Yukon Denali. It's an Escalade in disguise. And it has the same suspension and V8 the Escalade has.
You must be referring to the Tahoe's loser ass brother GMC Yukon. all the cheapness of a Chevy in all the bling of an Escalade
can't beat my GLS AMG.:)
put a bolt on supercharger and this thing is making over 650 horses for 7k if you do it yourself, and 8k if you pay a shop.
jeffrey625625 I want it from the factory. Why can't they just put the new cts-v engine in there? I would buy it in a heart beat!
In value it will.
I think it's a nice SUV, but I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think that $90k is too much for this truck. In fact, I think GM's new full-size SUVs are $10-15,000 overpriced. However, I do think they are nice trucks this go around and I also realize you can get some pretty deep dealer discounts on them.
also too saabkyle04 hasn't done a review of a Subaru Baja I was looking for one and Redline reviews did one
its great i will go for it that is too much torque in one house with my kids we can cover quite alot in terms of tours
Is anyone else only getting 25 fps? Vid seems unusually choppy.
how many usb ports do you really need?
Spencer my friend.. there can never be too many usb ports
Why your moving like that?
Very good review.
I've been asking this in the discussion area of your channel, I am writing it here again. Can you please do a review of Dodge Durango 2015 5.7L V8, and Nissan Patrol 2015 5.6L V8??
Thanks
Regards//
can anybody tell what is the opening music from, can't say if it is fatboy slim,
***** Thanks !
under stoor florage? :)
NICE Redline Review: 2015 Cadillac Escalade
Soyfan, please do a QX80!!!
-a long time viewer of your videos
please review the Lincoln mkt
Why would someone want to review a hearse
because it would be interesting hearing his opinion on a hearse
Decent output pffff 420 horsepower!
good ideas at the end of the video!! i agree bro wow u r great
the 2015 doesn’t have that version of the cadillac emblem it has the reef around it this has to be a 16
Not true. The first roll out in 2015 had the wreath and a 6 speed transmission. The second half of 2015-2017 doesn’t have the wreath and is an 8 speed. 2018 went to a 10 speed.

I have a question
so do I.
What is it Bryan
so nice
Nice vehicle, but the downside about these big SUVs like the Escalade, Chevy Suburban, Chevy Tahoe, Lincoln Navigator, etc., is that they're a bitch to park.
Not with the mirrors and cameras it's a pinch
damn, it finally went the smart car route. Welp, when it has a builting wireless charger, you know this car is full cutesy with no power. Hell, how many breakdowns before you realize it's best usage is driving to the supermarket and back? Not worth the money.

Although, I loveeee the escalades and had the 12 premium with the incorporated exhaust, different led tailights, power running boards and platinum wheels for 9 months.
Hmm I’ve seen some new gen Cadillac Escalades with that wretched crest
Cts "v sport" is NOT a cts v not even close...just wanted to put that out there
so much prestige in a tahoe with a pretty smile and some leather. i bet
The new 2018 navigator is killing the newest body escalade platinum.

This car is so overpriced

There's not many vehicles left in the luxury segment that are Prestige, Powerful, Luxurious? The Land Rover Range Rover is the most powerful, most capable, most luxurious, most prestiges vehicle on this planet.
Gaming 4 Ohio Road to 1,000 Subscribers sure just to bad its not a truck based SUV, thats what we want TRUCK style SUV's just have a driving sensation unlike any other and a truck based luxury SUV offers much more stable / safe towing capabilities.
plus this is pure art and pure sexyness compared to the range rover.
Gaming 4 Ohio Road to 1,000 Subscribers Land rovers are money pits

Be sure your AAA membership is paid up.
so hot
Make up your mind is it a car or is it a truck ?
Conrad Lincoln it's based on a truck platform.... it's not a truck it's a full size SUV
the tail lights at night look ridiculous. they're too long.
