Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
    FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. This gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without seeing it in person. Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect. I treat every vehicle with the same respect regardless of the year and pricepoint. I film all types of vehicles from the past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. Why do so many people dislike the Column Shifter? It's an American full-size SUV. They have had them since the, what, 1940's? It just works. And, if you've ever used one, then you'd know how amazingly smooth they work. My Uncle has an '06 Ram truck, and all you need is your pinky finger to move it up or down. I can only imagine how smooth it is on an Escalade. Oh, and THAT is what I call a review. More of that please.

      Lucas I agree. I couldn't get used not having the colum shifter, Lincoln has the select shift in the Continental since came back out in 2017 & I think the Lincoln Navigator (latest model) have select shift but don't remember if the MKZ has select shift but want to say it does. I'd rather have the colum shifter vs push button.

      Even though I like Yukon XL Denalis, I think I like the Escalade ESV Platinum better, because of the increase of luxury. But, either way, needs to be in Onyx Black (Yukon) or Black Raven (Escalade). It also needs a dual exhaust as well as a performance intake, because, even though the 6.2L Ecotec3 is a great engine, I personally think it sounds like shit. I think the previous engines (the Vortec engine family) were better. But that's just my opinion, considering that I love Chevy muscle cars from the 60s and early 70s.

    I had scheduled a test drive for a 2017 Cadillac Escalade Platinum yesterday, May 11, 2017, and during the test drive I noticed how the magnetic ride control was incredible smooth over rough pavement and I also noticed how familiar the suspension and quality of the ride felt with a 2015 GMC Yukon Denali I test drove a few months ago and how interchangeable the discrepancies are with both vehicles I test drove.
    The 2017 Escalade Platinum rode and drove identical to a GMC Yukon Denali I tested with a modest amount of creature comforts better than the GMC like the rear-vision camera and 360-degree camera but all else felt like a GMC Yukon Denali or a GMC Sierra Denali. For the money, a GMC Yukon Denali is the perfect blend of luxury, performance, and sophistication.

    I really like these, they're beautifully styled and very cool but one thing I don't like about them is in the rear. You'd think that a $90k+ vehicle would have nicer looking exhaust outlets than a single muffler somewhat hidden behind the bumper like an old sedan

      Cadillac has always been nicer than Lincoln.
      Lincoln really is trying with the Continental coming out, but Caddy is going after Mercedes and BMW.
      However, Cadillac is still lacking in quality.
      They've gotten somewhat better, but I am still not impressed with that they have NO V8 engines in their cars except the CTS-V.
      I hate the sound of V6 engines in a luxury vehicle.

    i always laugh when people say the Escalade is just a rebaged Tahoe like the Navigator is a rebaged Ford while the Navigator is a rebaged ford that competes more with the Yukon Denali (a rebadged chevy) the Escalade is a level above. it has its own Unique switch gear, it comes with the 6.2L V8 the tahoe does not, it has Magnetic ride control, it has more sound dampening, its own unique shift tuning with the 8 speed, it has its own unique interior architecture (center stack, pass through, dash are all unique) and it has its own unique Material palate with suede, nappa swiss leather, real mat finish wood, and aluminium unlike the Yukon and the Navigator which both suffer from plastics and rebadging from lower end models. much like the VW and Q7 Cadillac has done just as well to make the Escalade higher quality and uniqe from its lower end stable mates unlike the Navigator or Denali.

      K.C.'s RC no prob, trust me, people get so upset when i say this because either 1. they want me to say Lincoln is a world class player (when they are not) or 2. they cant understand how i or anyone else would rank Cadillac so high (normally because they hate GM or drove a 90's cadillac Seville and think they know cadillac) its annoying and i can see like 15 comments about how this is a "dressed up Tahoe" which is so far from the truth

      The Escalade is quite the gas guzzler. I'd probably go for a Tesla Model X P90D. It's significantly faster and has no emissions. If the Escalade had the battery motors from the Model X P90D I'd buy it because the Escalade looks much better than the Model X P90D.
      I'm going to be honest, Bentleys (is the plural Bentleys or Bentlies?) have never appealed to me visually. If I could I'd get an AMG GT-S, the same colour as Paul Wallace's (Supecars of London), put a carbon fiber hood on the front, a badass rear wing, a front diffuser and up the power a bit. I recreated it in Forza 6 and it was eye candy to me.

    to me even at the starting price of 72k it just seems way over priced its a chevy with makeup on it... Prices on vehicles today are starting to get to the point where why even get a new one fewer and fewer people can afford these. Most people have to finance and by the time everything is done and paid for they are spending thousands more then what the vehicle is worth.. Now talking about the platinum level thats really outrageous 90k plus for a gm no way

    That's why I love my base 2003 Civic, it has no power windows, or locks, no abs, no traction control, no stability control, no cruise control, no air conditioning, all it has is a radio, stick shift and heat. It's so sad that all these new vehicles have collision warning and automatic braking and blind spot monitoring ... You could be completely clueless and still end up with a license.

    @McBeamer94 8 років тому +1

    That's a nice beast! Good-looking (this colour helps!) and with a good-sounding V8!
    But I have an idea: what if the Escalade was equipped with the CT6's 3.0 Twin-Turbo V6 or the rumoured 4.2 Twin-Turbo V8???
    For example, the GLS450 has a 3.0 Twin-Turbo V6, while the GLS550 has a 4.7 Twin-Turbo V8! It would make sense!

    • @marc1093280
      @marc1093280 8 років тому

      The GLS is smaller; the Escalade would need the bigger and more powerful 3.6L TT V6 with the 6.2L naturally-aspirated V8 being a no cost option for those who want a V8. The more powerful motor for the Escalade could be the CTS-V's 6.2L supercharged V8 with 640+ HP.

    • @McBeamer94
      @McBeamer94 8 років тому

      marc1093280 True. But the 3.6 Twin-Turbo V6 is a bit old (the ATS-V could have had the new 3.0 Twin-Turbo V6 instead of the 3.6), while the Supercharged 6.2 LT4 would be a bit too much! I'm talking modern tech here!

    • @marc1093280
      @marc1093280 8 років тому +1

      +MafiosoItaliano458 The bigger 3.6 TT V6 is not old at all, and puts down more HP and torque than the smaller 3.0L TT V6. The CTS-V engine is pretty modern and sounds incredible and the CTS-V easily goes up against the E63 AMG and the M5.

    • @McBeamer94
      @McBeamer94 8 років тому

      marc1093280 Yes, the 3.6 Twin-Turbo V6 churns out 465hp in the ATS-V and 430hp in the CTS V-Sport, while the 3.0 Twin-Turbo V6 makes about 400hp in the CT6! (But the 3.6 somehow seems to me like a 3.6 Camaro engine with 2 turbos strapped on it! That's why I said it's a bit old, because as a naturally aspirated unit it's been around since the Gen 5 Camaro's launch! Unless the 3.6 Twin Turbo's a different engine!) And yeah, the Supercharged 6.2 LT4 is a modern engine! Based on the C7 'Vette's LT1, it too has got Variable Valve Timing and Direct Fuel Injection! Fairly modern tech! And it delivers about 630-650 lb-ft and 640-650hp!
      But I still have an idea: what if the next CTS-V had the upcoming 4.2 Twin-Turbo V8??? Hahaha!

    • @marc1093280
      @marc1093280 8 років тому +1

      +MafiosoItaliano458 Actually, the 3.6L TT V6 is very different from the 3.6L naturally-aspirated V6, just like how the 3.0L TT V6 is different from the naturally-aspirated 3.0L V6 that GM used to put in the SRX until 2012.
