You sure it’s lost? Maybe you just have to have some patience, it doesn’t show up instantly. If you’re talking XRP, ensure you have all XRP enabled in your Tangem wallet, it could be hidden on another network. Many exchanges won’t let you transfer funds to the wrong network, so there’s no way it wouldn’t be there if you sent it. If it’s confirmed on the blockchain, then it’s in your wallet.

Thanks for the great video! got a quick question for you. Does it make sense to have multiple wallet addresses for the same coin type? Say, I want to have 3 addresses for BTC, 2 for ETH, etc. Does Tagem Wallet support this?
It makes sense if that’s what you want to do and are okay managing multiple addresses. But Tangem does not currently support multiple addresses on one wallet. It’s on their roadmap though.
Hey Boss, love your content. Once i get my Tangem wallet, can yoi guide me as to how to transfer my Crypto from CoinBase to the wallet? I don't mind paying. Thank you.
Tangem supports all ERC20 tokens (ETH meme coins) and Solana meme coins. You have to add them manually, but yes they are all supported, including the new ones that are created every second of the day.
What is the best wallet or exchange in uk. Ive been blocked from nexo because i filled a form in wrong. FCA crap. Which would you recommend for me to use so i can cash out
LOL. "Now if sending fails...it often fails with Solona..." This was my favorite line in the vid. Solana is really hyped up wherever I read about it, but user experience obviously differs.
So I transferred all my crypto to the tangem wallet using the biometrics not using the card how do I know it’s stored on the car itself or how do I ensure that I do so properly if it is not tangent has been wonderful but that’s something my I’m not clear about
Whatever network you choose when sending from the exchange (completely up to you) is the one you want to receive on in Tangem. For Bitcoin and ETH, I’d image you’d use the Bitcoin and Ethereum network…
How would I stake coins in a cold wallet? Let's say I purchase ICP on Coinbase, which doesn't offer staking of ICP on the exchange. How would I go about earning rewards on POS crypto? Thanks for all the information.
SOL looks cheap to send, what's it cost to swap SOL for BTC in the Tangem app. Does that make getting BTC to store as long investment in Tangem wallet a cheaper way to do it instead of Bitcoin send fees from exchanges etc?
GridPlus and Tangem are two completely different wallets. I’ve seen reviews of the GridPlus and it looks terrible-like an old alarm clock. Complicated. Much better options on the market imo. Tangem is one of the best.
Couple things: 1. Just because an app ceases to exist on the App Store doesn’t mean it’s deleted from your phone, it would remain there. Also, the basic functions like sending/receiving crypto don’t rely on Tangem’s servers, but rather the blockchain, so you’d still be able to send/receive even if Tangem shut down lets say. 2. The app is 100% open source so technically it will always be available to rebuild. 3. If you have a seed phrase, you don’t need to worry about this as you can just import it into a different brand wallet to access your crypto.

What is the different between withdraw from Coinbase or any other platform to bank account And Coinbase or any other platform to hot/cold wallet and than transfer to bank account?
No difference really, just the fees. Most third parties that cold wallets use let users cash out will have higher fees, whereas exchanges have lower fees. So I usually send my crypto back to exchanges, sell, then withdraw to bank

Then once in my Tangem wallet, I can swap back to BTC and ETH? Does this make sense? Or will all the swapping/converting just end up being the same amount? Anything I should watch for? Also, am I correct that the swap would be a taxable event?
You can swap using your preferred exchange and then send to your cold wallet, that’s fine. Then you could either swap back using your Tangem wallet or send back to the exchange to swap, it’s up to you. It’s worth trying on Tangem and seeing what the fees will be (you can check the fees without confirming the swap). And you’re correct, each swap is considered a taxable event

Keeping any coin in a hot wallet like Phantom is not safe. What you’re referring to is using a hardware wallet to store your coins while managing it through the Phantom app. To do this: 1. Open the Phantom wallet in your browser. 2. Go to Settings (≡). 3. Select Add / Connect Wallet. 4. Choose Connect Hardware Wallet and click Continue. 5. Select a chain. 6. Ensure the SOL app is open on your Ledger. 7. Phantom will detect your Ledger accounts That said, I will try to make a video about this process too 👍
Could take several minutes depending what crypto you transferred. If it doesn’t show up after 10-15 minutes you should check that you have the correct network enabled in your Tangem wallet. For example, say you transferred XRP to your wallet. Well, there are 3 different networks for XRP supported by Tangem, so you may have enabled the wrong one. So try enabling all of them by going to Settings, Manage Tokens, select the token you sent to your wallet, and toggle enable on all the networks under that token, see if it appears.
Hey man I cant find one video on you tube about transferring crypto from wallet to exchange. Example person transferred 100 xrp to his tangem wallet that he paid $1.70 for average price then the price went up to $2.40 on the exchange he transferred 100 xrp back to the exchange from his wallet now the average price is $2.40. why is it not still $1.70 for average price on the exchange losing all gains? can you do a video explaining this aspect?
This topic is great for a tutorial video! Here's a possible outline for the video: Title: "Crypto Transfers: Why Your Average Price Changes on the Exchange" Outline: Intro: Briefly explain why people transfer crypto between wallets and exchanges. Scenario Setup: Show a user buying 100 XRP at $1.70 on an exchange and transferring it to a Tangem wallet. Explain the price increase to $2.40 while XRP is stored in the wallet. Transfer Back to Exchange: Demonstrate the transfer and show how the exchange updates the "average price" to $2.40. Why This Happens: Break down the cost basis reset due to no historical data from external wallets. Emphasize that no gains are lost-the market price determines profits when sold. Pro Tip: Suggest using portfolio trackers (e.g., CoinStats, Delta) to track original purchase prices accurately. Conclusion: Recap the lesson and encourage viewers to manage cost basis expectations. got this from chat gpt

To send whatever crypto it is to your Tangem wallet, you need to tap the receive button in Tangem for that token, and copy the address. Then from the exchange, you’ll tap send and paste the Tangem receiving address before confirming the amount you want to send. The other buttons will remain grey until you have the crypto in your wallet. And in some cases, Tangem might not support buying/selling/swapping of the token. Just depends.

I tried sending my XRP from my Tangem to Coinbase and it's lost i wish I knew what network I'm supposed to use. Ugh! Can't find it anywhere 😢
I just lost mine going from kraken to my tangem wallet. Followed step by step from Alex and have no clue what happened. I did this once before with no issues. Now I’m paranoid and don’t trust myself
@@cyberscrilla i’m obviously a newbie at this. It was bitcoin and I did it on the bitcoin network. It said pending for five minutes then said complete. It’s been about 10 hours now.

got a quick question for you.
@@cyberscrilla Thanks for the quick reply! Do you know if that's going to be on the app side or on the chip (card) side?

Hey Boss, love your content. Once i get my Tangem wallet, can yoi guide me as to how to transfer my Crypto from CoinBase to the wallet? I don't mind paying. Thank you.

Awesome! Thanks for your support. Let me know how you like it. Cheers!
Should we keep some sol in coinbase to pay fees? Also, do the crypto addresses ever change or will they always stay the same address?
Will tangem support fresh new meme coins that have only been active a day ?
Or does it only support common altcoins
Tangem supports all ERC20 tokens (ETH meme coins) and Solana meme coins. You have to add them manually, but yes they are all supported, including the new ones that are created every second of the day.
What if there is a TAG on the exchanger, does Tangem provide a TAG column to send coins to the exchanger?

One thing I am unsure is what network to choose for bitcoin and eth
Whatever network you choose when sending from the exchange (completely up to you) is the one you want to receive on in Tangem.
For Bitcoin and ETH, I’d image you’d use the Bitcoin and Ethereum network…
How would I stake coins in a cold wallet? Let's say I purchase ICP on Coinbase, which doesn't offer staking of ICP on the exchange. How would I go about earning rewards on POS crypto? Thanks for all the information.
Use an external platform that supports staking ICP, but you’d have to connect your wallet to it.
Hi, how do you know which network is cheapest when choosing one for BTC on Tangem? Thx
Gotta research pros and cons of each
I just did this with the same token sample you did since I have it also and it says complete in coinbase but does not appear in my tangem app
I got it finally I had to close the app and re open it
It takes time when sending from exchange
SOL looks cheap to send, what's it cost to swap SOL for BTC in the Tangem app. Does that make getting BTC to store as long investment in Tangem wallet a cheaper way to do it instead of Bitcoin send fees from exchanges etc?
Great video as always. Can you do a review on GridPlus Lattice1 Wallet please or if you have done it can I ask your thoughts on it vs Tangem wallet?
GridPlus and Tangem are two completely different wallets.
I’ve seen reviews of the GridPlus and it looks terrible-like an old alarm clock. Complicated. Much better options on the market imo.
Tangem is one of the best.
What happens if the app isn't more available in Play and Apple Store?
Couple things:
I have a question, can I use the bybit exchange to send xrp to tangem wallet and what are the supported exchanges
Yes, you can send crypto to Tangem from any exchange.
@@cyberscrilla okay thank you
When transferring from Exchange to Tangem wallet using iphone, does the Tangem card need to be on/near the phone during the entire process? My first transfer took 6 minutes.
Nope.

Had to do that on the Ledger wallet.

I’m so sorry to seem stupid here. I’m having a hard time understanding the purpose of the actual cards. If we can just access the wallet on our phone app, how is it safe from hackers? How is it not just like all the other apps on the phone?
You need the cards to transact. Without them, you can’t do anything. Just because you can stare at your crypto in an app doesn’t give you any control over it.

I’m sorry, but I don’t understand your question.
15:51 Does it make sense to convert/swap my BTC and ETH to SOL in BinanceUS and Coinbase. Then send it to my Tangem wallet at lower transfer fees?
@@cyberscrillaNot sure if it's worth it right now. I've been HODLing for years and just bought my Tangem wallet (using your discount code). My tax liability will probably exceed the fees since this bull run has pretty much tripled my gains since my last taxable event.

Keeping any coin in a hot wallet like Phantom is not safe.
What you’re referring to is using a hardware wallet to store your coins while managing it through the Phantom app.
To do this:
1. Open the Phantom wallet in your browser.

Here's a possible outline for the video:
Title: "Crypto Transfers: Why Your Average Price Changes on the Exchange"
Outline:
Intro: Briefly explain why people transfer crypto between wallets and exchanges.
Scenario Setup:
Show a user buying 100 XRP at $1.70 on an exchange and transferring it to a Tangem wallet.
Explain the price increase to $2.40 while XRP is stored in the wallet.
Transfer Back to Exchange:
Demonstrate the transfer and show how the exchange updates the "average price" to $2.40.
Why This Happens:
Break down the cost basis reset due to no historical data from external wallets.
Emphasize that no gains are lost-the market price determines profits when sold.
Pro Tip: Suggest using portfolio trackers (e.g., CoinStats, Delta) to track original purchase prices accurately.
Conclusion:
Recap the lesson and encourage viewers to manage cost basis expectations.

To send whatever crypto it is to your Tangem wallet, you need to tap the receive button in Tangem for that token, and copy the address.
Then from the exchange, you’ll tap send and paste the Tangem receiving address before confirming the amount you want to send.
