    Another great video! Is it possible that two of those baskets would fit side by side on the big joe rotisserie? If so just a good option to do two flavor profiles at the same time or two entirely different dishes!

    Your tip of leaving the Kamado lid partly open to avoid mold worked really well. I removed the winter cover and was able to use the grill after only a quick wipe. Magic. Happy Easter to family and here`s to a new season of BBQ 😎

    Great video. This method for cooking wings was one of my favorites, but I noticed that as the wings would toss about in the Napoleon basket the seasoning/skin would stick to it leaving the wings with no color.

      It runs on 220 volts with a different style plug, so one would have to find a step down converted with the right plug. I'm hoping that Kamado Joe will release on for their accesory red headed small sized stepchild. ;)

    EXCELLENT news! I wondered why I had not heard of it direct from Kamado since they send me an email solicitation at least1x a week for products. I'm currently letting a Pork Butt rest that I just pulled of my KJr. for Easter dinner today. Will have to ad this accessory to my "must have" .. THANK YOU for the awakening. BTW ... after watching you video comparing all the Kamado's I was thinking I should get a bigger one. Now after using my Jr. I'm a little hesitant as it works just so well for the 2 of us. When doing big cooks I use my WSM or my full sized gas grill. Still thinking I'll get a Classic though... Lots of fun toys!

    I want to try a Kamado style grill and am on a smaller budget. In one of your ranker videos you said your ideal pair was the big Joe and the Joe jr. If I’m just cooking for myself and my wife will the Joe jr be enough to get my feet wet as I save up for a larger grill?
    Are there recipes for half racks of ribs or half briskets that would fit on the Joe or do you have to handle smaller cuts differently?

    • @alittlefun
      @alittlefun 8 місяців тому +2

      I have had my Joe Jr. for a little over 2 years now and it’s perfect for 2 people as I generally cook for just my wife and I. It does just fine when cooking larger cuts for 4-6. I’ve done pizza, bacon, ribs, stews, burgers, fish, etc and have really enjoyed this channel for ideas and tips when trying new things. Some of what can be done on the larger Joes work just fine on the Jr you just need to be aware of the flame distance and it works out just fine. Happy grilling!!

    • @1DrBar

      @showemethemoney I have a Joe junior as well as the 18" but have to say that by the time one adds on the 250 stand, the basket,the ash remover and a better Kontrol tower model that does not let rain in - the Jr. is a very expensive little beast. But I normaly cook for two so it has it's place. I find the cast iron sear plate esseential, though a bit of a pain to use.

    This makes the Joe JR even more interesting for me.
    I hope it goes on sale in the "Netherlands" sometime soon.
    I am currently battling the very shallow basket of my current grill with longer cooks. [I might not be able to go for a FULL overnight cook due its shallow basket].4-5 hours is my current limit. [this is with small-Medium lump]
    Sadly things like the ash drawer, and smokewares cap are hard to find. because they are mostly USA/Canada exclusive. with international shipping nearly DOUBLING the price.
    The spit and basket would be a easy purchase, because they are easy to find, since they are common accessories sold by many stores
    Though at 200+ euro [inc vat] [not discounted] the spit might be something I might get later.
