Dilute the wheel cleaner 1:1. Works much better and you get more uses.
I understand you get more uses since it's diluted. But I would imagine the effectiveness is also diluted?

Get the wheel cleaner, Adams says you can dilute it down 1:1 with water and use as iron remover
I got Adam’s APC in a mystery box and its a million times more effective as a wheel cleaner than the wheel cleaner was, i was blown away

So I have been using brake buster in my ik foamer and it’s phenomenal. Little to no scrubbing

have you had any issues with Adams Iron Remover on plastic parts (headlights , door trim , door handles etc ?
You should try and review Meguiar’s new d1801. It combines wheel cleaner and iron remover so it is best of both world and it come in a gallon.
I’ve got 2017 Buick Regal and I sprayed iron remover on my metal chrome window trim and it’s got stained. I didn’t know I have to be that careful. The thing was the iron particles were all over a vehicle and not to spray on plastic and metal trim was unbelievable to do.

Boss, this is unrelated to this vid but my dogs hair is stuck on the dash that's leather and wiping it with a wet rag or armor all is not working since the sun i guess has pulled it into the dash. Any suggestions?
The quickest thing is use a nitrile glove and brush it with your hand
152nd, would you recommend spraying iron remover on paint before you clay? Or does clay barring do the same thing?
I do it before clay. Because it will break up iron before claying then clay will get the small remaining parts that are left over after iron spray

Best soundtrack for Listening to Birds while Napping. Also spraying same area defeats the experiement: the smallest amount it overspray will contaminate the chemical breakdown. Do two seperate wheels
What I have noticed is the two times I have used wheel cleaner on the paint...the plastics got fucked! It stains them unlike other iron removers...this one fucked it up while the car was wet and the product didn't dry on it...maybe that's why they brought out a dedicated iron remover for paint
If you clay your car do you have to polish it? I have a white car so I don’t think clay scaring will show to the point where I need to polish it.

You should test this on the back of the car not the hood .. that’s where the most iron particles collect

Why use products on items it’s not intended for? The wheel cleaner is more acidic for cleaning wheels. It just happens to do the same thing for removing iron. The regular iron remover is made for paint. It’s only job is to remove iron particles and not clean dirt and grime as much. It’s kinda like saying I should use wheel cleaner to clean the interior of the car. Each product from the Adams line is made for a purpose. If you want a all purpose cleaner than buy a all purpose cleaner.
I made that mistake years ago lol. You'll end up with a dozen products that have single applications. There's a tire cleaner, wheel cleaner, fender cleaner, tire dressing, trim dressing, etc...
A secret I learned on 2012 of how to remove oxidation and water spots has to do with diluted wheel acid. You have to do it at 7 a.m. or a bit early before the sun starts to heat up and first thing is first you have to rinse the car before applying the wheel acid. So this video makes sense.
Also it's not acidic, it's alkaline lol.
Adam also say you can dilute 1-1 and use it as iron remover as long as it doesn't dry your fine

I think they get more hate than they deserve. I absolutely love their citrus car soap. I use 2 cap fulls for a full car, and that's like 2 oz, it's crazy. Best soap as far as quality that I've had too. But they definitely aren't better than meguires, just make better videos
Jared Miller i get that it’s just its not economical feasible for new businesses to use their products because they are expensive. Many UA-cam Detailer’s started using what work for the price then when they go bigger and bigger they start using these more expensive products like chemicals guys and Adams. And trust me this video is more likely to be sponsored by Adams which I’m not hating. There was a detailer who said Adams gave him free chemical to put a good word in for them😉 and he did because he said it in social media and podcasts.
I do use name brand detailing chemical but not chemical guys and Adams. Meguiar and 3Ds are my standard detailing Arsenal since they are more available and near me.
