Y’all are quick to say “welcome to the sky” but forget about “remain clear of my propeller! I am commencing engine start!” - the real best catchphrase.
Obviously the best Aviation catchphrase is ‘Welcome to the Sky’ But the best catchphrase is the ‘Attitude Indicator is up and Erect’ I’m a student pilot from down under and I’ve included this into my flow for training!!! Love your stuff mate!!
Clearly “welcome to the sky”. One of the very few catchphrases that actually make sense apart from “remain clear of my propeller. I am commencing engine start.” Keep up the good work Lew.
Personally, I think “REMAIN CLEAR OF MY PROPELLER, I AM COMMENCING ENGINE START” is one of the greatest catchphrases on UA-cam, but “Welcome to the sky” is great too!
Favorite kind of flying? Tough question, but then these days _any_ flying would be good (it's been quite a while...finances and all). To be honest, I always loved it all whether sunny or cloudy, day or evening or night, any season, VFR, marginal, IFR, scudrunning... If I had to choose I'd say evening after sunset when the air is smooth as glass and the ground below is descending into the nighttime shadows as dusk turns into twilight. I love VFR on top, too.
The best catch phrase would be 'Welcome to the sky' and if it is a trick question it is 'Come on it's easy.....you know it... You better know it' ;) lol
I have adopted "Remain clear of my propeller! I am commencing engine start! Instrument Check Ride on Tuesday, so IFR is my new favorite....and yeah, I kind of like all of the pressure of getting prepped for it. Good times! BTW, I am a cherokee driver....that low wing life!
The best catchphrase on yt is obviously "welcome to the sky" but the best phrase I have heard is when I was doing my flight training and I fly the 152 cause you know the best trainer out, we had someone behind us in the circuit in aerobatic aircraft and he knew my instructor and I quote "Why are you guys so damn slow, go a bit faster" At a ctaf airport, Love the work Lew
“JD would benefit from a more serious training environment” is truly the best catchphrase. Maybe “Welcome to the sky” or “Welcome back to the sky” but JD needs a more serious training environment so that comes first
