If you're using a Primo-brand water bottle, check to make sure that the bottle's inner foam cap is not blocking the flow. I was having this issue and swapped out the Primo water bottle with an Ozarka bottle (which uses a different style of cap) and the problem disappeared. You could also manually cut or tear away the foam cap before putting it on the dispenser to ensure that it doesn't block the water flow.
Im looking on how I could clean mine because the water taste is weird so I had to stop using it I opened it they way it shoes here and cleaned those parts but there’s no fix to the taste yet so do you guys know how I could get rid of it ?
Absolutely. That comment made me chuckle. Translation: the unit is garbage and 312,205 people have a broken one. I tossed mine out the back door and smashed it with a bat. I immediately felt better.
@@marcg2526 That's too easy: because the planet has more half-wits than ever before and selling cheap products to them is easier than ever before. Kudos to the company for having the smarts to build something to sell to them though. Don't try to tell me 10M units means it's an amazing product though lol.
I recently decided to try and fix as well as clean my water dispenser. The nozzles drip water after use. Anyways, after cleaning the gunk and reassembling it, I was somewhat dismayed I that I hadn't noticed the cylinder tube on the bypass plug. I looked everwhere on other videos and as I do product informercials myself I came accross yours. Well done, its completed so when you google this model you find the right one. Kudos to you and primo water Co. I ordered the smaller stand as I don't need cool and hot. Thanks.
It helped me figure out where the little rubber part went. Thank you. But I can't figure out why the whole thing comes with the bottle whenever you remove the bottle? It doesn't fit snug. Can that part be replaced?
Got it home Friday hooked it up Sat. and follow the instructions to the letter, not hard. Put in the water and all and pushed the cold button and nothing comes out, same with hot. I go online and watch the video and do it all over again and still nothing coming out. Seems like Primo knows about this problem and mention it in their videos. Called my local Lowes and played the phone roulette for a 1/2 hour, never getting to talk with anyone, and then did the chat thing. Taking it back on Monday for a refund. Now the damn submit button will not take my review.
I'm just an Emmy award winning photographer....Im not a repair guy... I believe that water flow in this model is gravity feed, so the valve is mechanical & doesn't need to be plugged in to dispense water. The plug is just to heat & chill the water.
Can you use any water 5 gallon bottle ..and is there subpose to be a rubber seal or something...my bottle doesn't have a cap and wonder I it will just keep pouring out the top..??
Thank you for reaching out to us. You can use any 5 or 3 gallon bottle with our dispensers with the exception of the brand American Maid and Glass bottles. The way the neck of the bottles are manufactured makes them incompatible with our dispensers. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
My Primo dispenser is causing the water bottle to collapse. It has significantly deformed the water bottle. Water comes out of the dispenser but, to repeat myself, the bottle is collapsing as if air is not making it back into the bottle. Do I need to look for some type of clog?
It may also be a faulty water bottle. I brought in an empty bottle to compare it with the bottle in question. It seems the bottle that is collapsing is made of a thinner plastic and the writing on the top is not well defined as if the injection molding process did not completely fill the mold. Please let me know what I should do about this.
Hi - Thank you for your inquiry! When the bottle begins to collapse upon dispensing, this indicates the bottle is not compatible with the unit. You can use any 5- or 3-gallon bottle with our dispensers with the exception of the brand American Maid. The way the neck of the bottles are manufactured makes them incompatible with our dispensers. Hope this helps!
@@primowaterco I bought the bottle at Lowe's. All the bottles have a PRIMO label on them. How, in that case, do I differentiate Primo from American Maid since there is not other identifier on the bottle since all of the bottles have a Primo label on them.

You need to post a video showing how to remove the filter screen where the water comes out from. Mine was clogged and I almost threw out my unit because of the trickle of water that was flowing. It was taking over a minute to fill my glass. Luckily, I found a video on youtube from a user who had the same issue as me and he showed what was wrong with my dispenser and how to fix it. Had it not been for his video, I would have gotten rid of my dispenser.
Utter BS.The primo bottle is at fault in my case. They substituted the little breakaway plastic seal for a foam stopper and it failed.Using tweezers I pulled the little foam tag out and it worked again. So from now on,I have to do this before inserting the bottle, all because Primo changed the design of the bottle seal.
