    Best no nonsense, quick guide. But best advise to me was at 6:20ish about winding the water tube to lessen vibration noise. 🤣 No, really. Thanks!!!

    Thank you! You know how to remove the nozzles to clean them inside?

    • @DrBDIY
      @DrBDIY  Рік тому +5

      I do not know how to remove the nozzles. I haven't looked. The cleaning process says that the bleach water is enough to flush and clean the nozzles. On one cleaning I poked a qtip up the nozzle but didn't see anything removed. Thanks.

      I'm sorry I'm late. What you see is that your water has become hard water. Your water is calcium dense. Which means that over the course of using your dispenser, there has been a calcium buildup. This isn't a bad thing. You can still drink it. Personally, I find it very hard to get rid of this, and it usually happens to people who either haven't cleaned it or have been using their dispenser for a long time.

    What happens when no water drains from the back?

    • @DrBDIY
      @DrBDIY  12 днів тому +1

      That should be a short hose from near to bottom of the tank. Clean it out by blowing into the hole at the bottom of the tank that feeds hose to drain.

    Is it necessary to turn on cooler in order to clean it? I'd assume the hot vinegar water would be more effective if it remains hot

    • @DrBDIY
      @DrBDIY  2 місяці тому

      They are different containers - cold and hot. I guess cold water and hot water cause different kinds of build up, so best to chill and heat each container.

    Is there a reason why you don’t cycle the water through while plugged in?

    • @DrBDIY
      @DrBDIY  Місяць тому

      Very good question. I try follow MFR recommendations even though per model they differ. One approach to cleaning is by adding cleaning solution to top tank, which means taking the unit apart. In this case, unplug the unit. However, this approach doesn't clean inbound lines. Another approach to cleaning is by adding cleaning solution to an empty five gallon bottle. In this case, the power is on and the cleaning solution is sucked up from the bottle through inbound lines also. I have made a few videos for Primo and Avalon on both approaches. I prefer the approach using the bottle.

    I found that the ice cube in the reservoir needs to be melted completely before cleaning. The ice will hold the vinegar and the water will taste like vinegar.

    • @DrBDIY
      @DrBDIY  10 місяців тому +1

      Ice cube?

    • @exxpresslne101
      @exxpresslne101 10 місяців тому +1

      @DrBDIY There is a container inside of the machine that holds the water inside with a giant ice cube. That's how you get cold water.

    • @DrBDIY
      @DrBDIY  10 місяців тому +2

      In my water dispenser, compressed refrigerant is cooled and
      passes through coil that touches the water and cools it. The container stores the cold water.

    • @DrBDIY
      @DrBDIY  3 місяці тому

      Its a very light blue cap. They came with the bottles but I can't recall where I purchased the bottles. You can search walmart for "Brio Blue Plastic Top Replacement Cap - 6 Pack - 55mm for 5 Gallon Water Bottles CA55DBDP6" or amazon for "Dew Cap Replacement - 55mm Snap On Crown Top Fit 3 & 5 Gallon Water Bottles Snug & Tight Leak Proof Reusable BPA-Free Jug Lids" . • @DrBDIY
      @DrBDIY  Рік тому

      I cleaned two different models of Primo dispensers. I am not sure if other models or MFRs have a different approach. Most will publish the cleaning approach in the manual or web site.
