I fitted a 3 way set of speakers (6.5" in custom pods in the doors, 4" in the factory dash positions and a set of tweeters in the A pillars) in my 2001 Abarth, they sounded amazing.

Hi Miller, just to let you know, in the last production years of the seicento in Italy (that was renamed 600), the rear panels were actually changed to flat ones. Just make a quick google search: Pannelli posteriori fiat seicento 2009. :)

Looks cool, though one thing I'd have done differently myself there would be to use rivnuts and black cap head screws to attach the panels. I did wonder at the start how you were going to mount them. I thought maybe with the original clips somehow. Not gonna lie, the velcro made me cringe a little - glad you got it sorted though.

Could you not have drilled through the board where the original trim clips attach to the car? Find an appropriate trim clip, and recess them slightly so they sat flush. You could have then carpeted the panel and the fixings would have been invisible.

Finally catching up on the new vids! Lovely to see you and the Seicento back Joe! :)
I had the rear speakers upgraded on my Accent a few years ago as the front ones sound OK and still work fine, but the rear ones were blowing out and sounded horrid....cruising home from work is one of the times of day I look forward the most :)
Also, random side note - I see in some of those shots that the inside of your panels behind the trim are nice and clean! Lovely...but have you considered getting some proper rust-proofing done to the Seicento to keep her lasting longer? I know you take care of it and don't drive it in poor weather but every little but helps and it's must cheaper than bodywork in the long run! :D

Thanks dude, hope you're well :) upgraded speakers make all the difference, particularly in a smaller or older car!
I've rustproofed the arches on the underside of the car, but internally might not be a bad idea either 🤔

@@MillerCorner I'm good, glad to see you seem to be doing well also (about to watch your review of Furious Driving's Alfa! :D )
A very nice older gent who has an old-school independent body shop helped me rip out the rear interior trim on my Accent and then spray in behind it. Hopefully that will help keep things at bay for awhile in all the winter salt :(

Lovely Jubbly Joe, never owned a Fiat myself but I can see the appeal of the wee car. I wonder why Fiat have changed their logo form the red and chrome, previously blue and chrome to just the ungainly sight of Fiat in big font.

Hi Miller, do you still have ajustment for the Abarth seats? I been thinking about putting some Abarth seats on my sento, but I still have the back seats and would like to have ajustment on the front seats.
    Very Nice job man

Do the abarth seats have the secret compartment?

  • @Towig93
    @Towig93 19 днів тому

Hey, i am 200cm tall and could help me by checking if the abarth seat is lower or higher than oem seat? Or measure the distance from seat (bottom part where you put ass xd) to roof? I want those seats but they are quite expensive in poland so i would want to know if i even fit before buying and installing them.

I think that might be illegal anyway, kit cars aren't allowed to have airbags, even if they are brand new.

@@ldwp6395 this isn't kit car. Seicento is mass produced road car. They had airbags from factory. Centos aren't safe and tbh airbag in this car doesn't make big difference

Hello, First I want to say that I really love your video, I'm 18 I live in Belgium and I'm occupied to restore a Cinquecento sporting with the original abarth kit, I'm struggling to find some good front seat but like the original, "foldable ", to acces at the rear passenger seat so if you have some tips to help me to find this type of seat ? Then you can go to the Channel "Le garage noir" he also have a seicento and he make some modification 😈 (turbo), flocking and way more so if you need some idea this channel can help you for the future project ☺️
