Oh I love the number plate bracket idea. So simple to install, and if at some point you decide you don't like it (though why would you) there's no horrible holes in your bumper. Brilliant idea.
I would place them in the area where the previous fog lights were mounted. That, in my opinion, would look much much better and give a cleaner overall look
Hi Joe - thanks for the great video as always! :) And a personal thanks for the Facebook comment awhile back..kind of you to leave one! I'm OK after the accident...was just VERY stiff and sore for a long time after, but doctors said no lasting damage. Humdrum was totaled though, so I feel you and your situation with the Seicento a few years back in Germany :( I did pick up a replacement car...the used car market is INSANE over here since COVID (a 2015 Toyota Corolla I was looking turned out to have dents and scratches and rusting/crushed rocker pinch-welds on the left side and was $16,990 PLUS taxes and fees with 150,000kms used at an official Toyota dealership!!!) Luckily, I had a lot of money set aside from a year or two ago as I knew I would need a new car eventually (was being very proactive), but figured it would be YEARS from now. I ended up getting a 2022 Nissan Sentra SR in Electric Blue Metallic (she's named 'Arc' ;) ) about 2 weeks ago. It was...not cheap...but it only has 51,000kms (about what Humdrum had when I bought her in 2013). It's practically a brand new car and the plus is that it's a 6-speed (WOO!), so I can continue driving stick! :D (Manuals are pretty much non-existent in newer cars here now as our market pretty much directly reflects the US, where that is the norm). It's got way more features than I like (radar cruise, heated seats/wheel, all the automatic safety braking crap, sunroof, etc)...I really love it so far, but I still do prefer basic. As for your spotlights, those look great!!! I had wanted to do this EXACT mod on the Accent before she met her untimely demise to the black ice back in December (I had a similar but different bracket from a company called Smittybilt saved to my wishlist on Amazon: www.amazon.ca/dp/B004XG3NTW/?coliid=I16JEVK7GG0K89&colid=2DFU41AOQTRFL&psc=0&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it In my province (Nova Scotia), front number plates are not legally required, meaning it would be even easier for me to mount one than it was for you! I'm thinking about doing it to the Sentra as well, but I still have a warranty on it for awhile, so have to go easy on the mods...I've done some though! Added some extra bump stops for the boot lid as the factory ones aren't amazing, and I've already got some interior LED bulbs and some LED bulbs for the rear brake/tail, license plate, and reverse lights on order :) Sorry for the novel, but was nice to watch you and the nugget again! Always brings a smile when I see a new vid of yours up! Cheers mate!
Personally don't like the position of those (but again, not my car so fair play to you) but could you not have replaced your fog lights with them spotlights? I just feel that positioning would be better and would even possibly give it a bit of a Suzuki Ignis Sport sorta look
Hi Joe, Fascinating video. Though I temd to prefer many things about older cars I will conceed that the LED purevision headlights on my mk4 megane are a vast improvement over the halogen headlamos on my mk1 megane coupe. As the performance of those little spot lamps is so impressive have you considered more of the same? So how about a longer mounting bracket woth another pair of these making up a row of four and run the wires in behind the number plate for a tidy look. You could then add a further two into the mesh on the bumper for a more uniform look and to plug up the holes from the old lights. Im no expert on autoelectrics but being these are LED im sure the little Fiats alternater should be able to cope.
I've got to say I was impressed with the amount of light they chuck out, I wouldn't have even tried something that cheap. They do look a little flimsy, but for a tenner? Even if you only get a year out of them nice buy!
Good mod, I personally would have made (bought?) a bigger bracket to bring the spotlights to the outer edges of the numberplate, I think they would look better there and at the same time give a wider beam pattern. Agree that they have crap, borderline dangerous lights, I still think that the headlamp pod, expensive though it is, just looks the business!
Could you put the new spot lights behind grill under the registration that way when you put the lesser powerful spot lights in their place, you will have the best of both worlds.
Hey bro I am a xenon importer to South Africa, and I know you can buy a xenon upgrade kit for your Fiat 600 you won't believe the amount of light coming out of a 35w yes nor 55w xenon, should work perfectly on dip dim beam, Speak soon Ciao Ciao
Spotlights shouldn’t be wired on the front foglight circuit. They should be connected so that they can only come on with the main beam. I’ve seen these lights on Temu and they do look good for the price.

Back in the game! In the old days we used to stick massive spots on the front of our escorts. Probably 1/4 of the power but looked good.

Thanks Mark! Plans are afoot for bigger lights at the bare minimum!
The more lights the better. This was one of the first thing's we did back in the day when we were driving our first cars 😮
Can you not hide the wires from the spot lights that go over the top of the bumper , and put them behind the bumper
For the money the lights cost they are impressive

I would be tempted to get two brackets and then over lap them to make the brackets wider and an another 2 lights
I've seen Joe for a few years on the Classic World YT channel and I had no idea he had his own channel. Wow!
This came first in fact! Thanks for watching 😁

I'll experiment once the new bigger lights are fitted!
Shouldn't they be wired to only come on with the full beam, not on the foglight circuit?
Nice job!
Was that a autoalex reference with the macan🤣
👀
Heeheee, just a ruse to avoid cameras. Look great though!
Do the lights flicker/vibrate about when driving over our wonderful smooth roads ?
Nope, they're too light for it to be an issue, amazingly!
These spotlights they used in Italy by hunters on their vehicles Fiat Panda or pick up trucks
By any chance is the GFs brother called Joel looks like his s40
He certainly is, that's his car! :D
Lol! That wouldn’t work on my Alfa - I’d just end up with 2 passenger side spotlights……….!

Definitely illegal...wouldn't pass an MOT positioned and wired up like that.
Looks like your obstucting the plate tbh
Nah, wouldn't have thought so...
Damn that is ugly 😮
