I can't wait until I can get a 1.2 (or even a 1.4 tjet) in my Seicento! Maybe then she'll get taken more seriously because the stickers are a big mocking point for everyone else to attack mine, maybe with a bigger engine it will prove them wrong! Until then though 'Scrapbook Sally' as she's known still puts a huge smile on my face even though I am still learning.. I'm super jealous of the super seicento now!
Ante Radić yeah i know, but it's a few years until I plan on actually swapping my engine so I don't need to worry about that yet haha.. I know it's going to be an awful lot of work though
Cento Tom For t jet conversion it would be much better to get mk2 punto, it's more stable when added power, doesn't require cutting to fit t jet, you can fit widder tires....
You can put camshaft from punto mk1 75, also put oil catch can. If you want to put turbo, you are safe around 1.0bar (I've seen ones runing on 1.3 on stock engine). You should also get that 1.1 ECU remaped because punto has rev limit at 6500rpm while stock seicento one has rev limit at 7000rpm but still I've seen stock engines that revved to 7500rpm (not smart but still) and built one that revved to 9000rpm (and it didn't take a lot of work to do it)
I have the Punto 75 cam in mine and you can really feel a gain in middle and high range, acceleration feels way more progressive, a mod to make for sure and it is quite cheap :)
Ante Radić i payed 70€ for mine delivered at home, i still find it quite cheap considering the good gains :) In my opinion it will not change much putting the 1.2 block if the head stays stock, i would swap the hole P75 engine instead
Nice mod. My Punto was originally a 55s with the same 1108cc engine as yours and now I also have a 1248cc engine running on LPG. I want to get a 6 speed gear box. I am swaping the exhaust in October when I go home with John Ashley 4-2-1 manifold and Pipercross air filter. My exhaust is a european homologated rally exhaust from CSC, hand made in Italy but because it has 2 silencers, its not too noisy. I want to get the Abarth body kit, TA Technix coilovers and either Compomotive MO1571 15inch or Butzi Odin 15" wheels and as soon as I can, paint the car then I will call my project "concluded" but there is always bits and bobs to do. Need to replace my windshield as it has some scratches and want to polish the rocker cover (think thats how its called), and the battery support. Regards
@@MillerCorner Thanks a lot. I was just now watching again your video from the accident in Germany with the lorry. I have had my car for 11 years and 3 months and my project has been going on for a bit over 10 years now. Not always there is money to do things but thats life. I genuinely love my car.
Cambelt on the 1.2 Punto have a different cam wheel as you found out as well as a different number of teeth on the water pump. Swap them over from the 1108. You figured it out yourself.
Excellent video, that should be a blast to drive Just remember to inform your insurance company and change the numbers on the V5 Can't wait to see the drive video
Nice dude ! Could of gone for a 1.4 or 1.6 at a push ! But then I guess it would be a tight squeeze, if not fit @ all haha but your definitely not messing about with the mods aye ! Sweet car man especially now ;)
Was gonna say its easy when other people know what there doing to help you mate i had to do my engine work on my own and never done it before and wont be doing it again thats 1 reason why i no longer have silver bullet
do you have an oil catch can or on oil seperator fitted in. I have a 1999 fiat seicento sporting and i am thinking of putting in an oil catch can to help the throttle and the intake being clean.
Hi there. Did you change the coil pack in the interests of reliability as opposed to necessity ? Did the standard ECU require no mods whatsoever ? In other words- aside from the belt issues- did it run just fine ?
It ran spot on, the coil pack was a "while we're there" job 👍🏻 the 1108 ECU takes about 100 miles of varied driving to learn the new engine, after that it'll be a bit more economical and smoother
I have a Seicento just like yours, excluding all the extras you put in! And even before I saw this video I already had the idea of swapping the engine for a Punto one. Also I was thinking about the 1.2 16v Punto Sport. Also how's the performance of the one you installed? Max speed, etc?
Sadly didn't have a chance to dyno pre swap - as much as I wanted more power, this is more a "butt dyno" car, more about fun and feel than outright huge power. Dyno run may be coming soon, though...
So I appreciate the fact your modding this little car. I had one, they are very slow. There are a lot of factors, however the 1.1 engine had around 55bhp the 1.2 8v was around 60 bhp. At the flywheel, for me personally that's not enough of a gain. I'm very interested to see what you do next. Forced induction anyone?
May or may not be more tuning to come on this engine 😉 they key number isn't the power, though, it's the torque - this engine makes considerably more torque throughout the rev range, making it useably fun
@@MillerCorner , so you're telling me that the extra 142cc made all the difference? For the same amount of time and money spent, a turbo kit would've been better.
@@MillerCorner , I understand what you're saying, and I'm not trying to take the Mick. The only reason I say this is, there must of been a better way of getting more performance other then a rebuilt short block, where the entire engine and gearbox has to come out. I remember when I had my first car (rover 213) to get more power out of it, I went to the local "aftermarket performance" shop, they told me a Weber twin choke carb would be best. I paid less then £150 for the carb, took it to a mate who fitted it and got it working for another £20, I then took it to a rolling road place 15 miles up the road who spent a couple of hours making sure everything was installed proper, and then tuned it on the rollers, which cost another £60. The car was completely transformed! When I took it easy the car was better on fuel, and top speed went from 105mph to 120mph. All of this was done in less then an afternoons work!
only been watching his vids lately as i was looking at one for a cheap bit of fun and his seems cool, but other than being a lower mileage engine, this engine wasnt much of an upgrade. i owned a mk2 punto with the same 1.2 and was decent for 60hp, but this guy couldve got the punto sporting engine. still a 1.2, but has over 80hp, so wouldve been much better. turbo kits for these cars were riddled with problems. i havent watch that many vids, so i dont know how much power hes managed to get since this video. the cars are super light though
I can't wait until I can get a 1.2 (or even a 1.4 tjet) in my Seicento! T jet would require a lot of custom fabrication and you would need to cut some things to fit it
Ante Radić yeah i know, but it's a few years until I plan on actually swapping my engine so I don't need to worry about that yet haha.. I know it's going to be an awful lot of work though
Cento Tom For t jet conversion it would be much better to get mk2 punto, it's more stable when added power, doesn't require cutting to fit t jet, you can fit widder tires....
@BlackBullet Tjet it is, but by the time I can do it I'll have a better daily, so I can get it done over a long time making it more bearable
Why not full 1.2 engine? 1.1 head has smaller valves, camshaft is bad too, now you have like a 60hp instead full mighty P1 1.2 8v MPI 73HP
good choice of moogs backing track :)
Slightly obsessed with your seicento vids. Watching from the balcony on z sunny island of Rhodes! Looking forward to the next one 🚕
Thanks man! Glad you're enjoying, have fun in the sun 😎
Well done, I always wanted more power out of my old 1999 Abarth - looking forward to seeing it out on the road!

I have the Punto 75 cam in mine and you can really feel a gain in middle and high range, acceleration feels way more progressive, a mod to make for sure and it is quite cheap :)
DaRd92 Yeah you can get 75 cam for 15€ and it makes quite a diffrence above 3000rpm
Ante Radić i payed 70€ for mine delivered at home, i still find it quite cheap considering the good gains :)
In my opinion it will not change much putting the 1.2 block if the head stays stock, i would swap the hole P75 engine instead
is the engine swap that easy? buying a seciento next month and think about doing the same as in the video

Cheers dude - plenty more to come on the exhaust front 😉
Wrx seats , the most comfortable side hugging seats I ever owned
Agreed! Love em 👍🏻
Great video dude! Your production is excellent for your number of subscribers, I'm sure it'll be booming soon ;)
Thanks man! Means a lot 😁
Your giving me ideas for my seicento 😃👍👍
Can see that MCM really influence your video style haha. Good video buddy
Thanks dude 😁 Marty and Moog are a big inspiration :D
Brilliant video, cheers!
Well done mate another cracking video
Go on, mate!
Tried to wipe that fake hair off my screen

Would barely fit and would be a pain in the arse to fit 😂 but cheers dude 😁
If you did a motorbike engine swap i would be so annoyed 😂.
Seriously though, it is Epic!!
It'd be undriveable! 😂 might have to look into that... 🤔
Good mechanics
This is awesome
Great job! I love your passion!
i own a 1996 fiat cinquecento and most of the parts from my car are on you’re car from factory
Was gonna say its easy when other people know what there doing to help you mate i had to do my engine work on my own and never done it before and wont be doing it again thats 1 reason why i no longer have silver bullet
Where did you get the strip light yellow indicators that fit under the headlights please?
Would the seicento wiring for the head work with a cinquecento sx
hi how to contact this guy to get more info about engine swap some one can help ??
goooooooooooooooooooood vid.
25 month build to get the airbox off. Couldn't stop laughing 😂😂😂
do you have an oil catch can or on oil seperator fitted in. I have a 1999 fiat seicento sporting and i am thinking of putting in an oil catch can to help the throttle and the intake being clean.
So all the mixing and matching with cam pulleys hasn’t completely knackered the timings?
Nope, all set up and working perfectly!
Awesome videos, love what youve done to this little nugget! Was just wondering if the swap is the same a Cinquecento?
A Cinquecento is actually even easier, since they use single point injection! Have a trawl on the Fiat Forums and you'll see what's possible 😁
Thanks for the reply! I will!
Hi dose anyone know if the fiat panda engine will fiat in a fiat seicento sporting
Nice job. But were is the bloody fuel filter placed 😂 i cant find it.
The reason for that would be there IS no fuel filter 😅
@@MillerCorner there should be one... Stock
You'd think so, but various people I've spoken to suggest otherwise
You should coat the engine plastic with red, it would be sick haha
Maybe... 😉
Why stop at a 1.2 when you can probably fit a Fiat Punto GT Turbo engine in it?
Completely unknown swap :/ also big, heavy, may not fit and would probably make it understeer like hell :P
The 1242cc looked like it went in without a problem.
What engine did you put in
Hi there. Did you change the coil pack in the interests of reliability as opposed to necessity ?

@@MillerCorner Thanks for the reply...My Panda 1.1 might get an upgrade lol :D
I don't know if the Panda is the same plug and play process, but there are plenty of other engine swap options there! :D
what about the ecu and the eletronic parts do you have changed anything?
Nope, the same ECU and wiring loom 😁
I can't seem to find a video with the first drive with the new engine? Is there one? Interested as to the power hike over the old engine.
Check the Super Seicento playlist, dude 😁
@@MillerCorner I did already but the next video was "Big Announcement" then the Poland trip. Am I missing something?
3:12 cracking day

Miller Corner I'll be waiting for it! Also, do the wheel spacers help driving? Your Seicento is like my model :P
Don't seem to make it drive any differently, bud 😁
Miller Corner Thanks for the tip ;)
I'm assuming you bothered to Dyno run the car pre and post engine swap. What gains did you get?

Yeah I'd like to be proven wrong, but maybe an extra 10 ft lb in torque. Before you factor losses in the gearbox.
Hey
This is 1.2 75HP ??
1.2 60
all of that work to get 5hp😅😅
The numbers don't tell the whole story, it's a damn sight better 😎
@@MillerCorner sure it is
All that work for not much more extra power...?! 1.4 tjet would've been a better swap
It's the torque that matters! It makes more, lower down - it just makes it SO much more fun and driveable!
@@MillerCorner , so you're telling me that the extra 142cc made all the difference? For the same amount of time and money spent, a turbo kit would've been better.
Not sure I could've done a turbo conversion - let alone insured it - for a couple of hundred quid 🤔
