The problem of depending on US is when they put sanctions on your country, diversify is always good.

for this half year in 2024, more than 23 foreign country heads visited China, hardly anyone bothered, to visit India, only a few, tiny surrounding countries, to give Modi some face, attended his sworn in ceremony.
For this half a year, there are more world countries leaders, diplomats and politicians who have visited China and Chinese leaders than India for the last 6 years.
And during the G20 summit in India. Indian Foreign Minister said that India is the voice and leader of Global South countries.
