- In this video I am unboxing and taking my first look at my custom ordered YG guitar made by Dallas Seger of Seger Guitars. This guitar was received earlier this year in 2022 but I've been so busy touring since the spring I haven't had a chance to edit this video until now.
There are so many details in the craftsmanship it's hard to catch them all on the first impression of the instrument. I'd love to do a follow up later. The neck is so fat it doesn't move. When I came back from a long tour the guitar was still perfectly in tune. Not like the many others sitting beside it.

Man that looks so well made. I guess when it's essentially a masterbuilt guitar by one guy, the consistency and quality is there.

It's awesome seeing someone so stoked on a new guitar. I love your playing too, just hearing you riff out and have fun. I also hope one day I can obtain as many awesome Marshalls as you have, for now I'm stuck with an Origin 20 😂
I have not heard an Origin in person but Headfirst Amplification has a video on one and whatever he did to it sounds killer.
@@purgasound he basically rewired it so the fx loop tube becomes two more gain stages. The stock origin only has one actual preamp tube, the other two are for the fx loop and phase inverter. It lacks a lot of gain, you basically have to crank the master and gain and you barely get acdc levels of gain out of it and it sounds pretty harsh and muddy doing it. You have to run the bass and treble at 0 basically all the time. I've considered modding mine and following Headfirst's tutorial but I'm still not 100% comfortable working on an amp yet haha
